I got a Timbuk2 bag as a gift a while ago, I'm not exactly sure what type it is but it appears to be a custom bag (I couldn't find the design anywhere else), and I gotta say, it's phenomenal. It's comfortable to wear (Don't try and wear a backpack and this bag at the same time though, because it's a hassle to get them off) and I love using it, it carries all my books (I play Dungeons and Dragons, and this bag is WAY better than my old tote I used) and more, It's easy to carry around (except the books are heavy, but that's my fault), and the slash divider is really useful.

I bought this bag mainly for work. I think that it looks professional enough to be useful in a busy "profession" work environment, it was mainly to replace a Thule bag that I carried around, as it was a single shoulder sling bag and it was annoying trying to get it over my head daily. I didn't want something too large so I choose the small size. I carry around my 13" PC ultrabook and a 12.9" iPad with the keyboard cover and the pen among several other things including a universal 65W charger brick, a USB-C cable, keys, a small pouch for headphones, and a variety of pens. I have to fit a coffee tumbler and some other larger accessories. Overall, when I first got it, it seemed a bit small for me, and I kind of was regretting that I didn't get the medium sized back. I really liked how it carried, so I didn't want to give up on it and how it looked. After using it for a couple of days, I realized that it was "just enough", it can cram my junk into the bag, but it feels sometimes like it's going to burst. The velcro alone is enough to keep the thing quite tight. The design is nice, i like how the colors really contrast each other, and like I said, I use this in a "professional" setting, and even then the colors and look of the bag is good enough for this use. There is a decent amount of organization inside. I bought it with a laptop insert, and this insert really creates almost 3 compartments within the bag. The front, laptop, and the behind it. There is a zippered front, and there are plenty of places to store some pens. I was really disappointed that this wasn't big enough, but liked it enough that I went ahead and purchased a medium sized one in a different color scheme. So if that makes any testimony of the bag, and this is just a couple of days with it.

I have three of these, all going at once. One is probably 50 years old & still it serves. Best bags ever.

Just ordered this messenger bag in small and I use it for commuting to work. I like the option of being able to easily move the bag in front of me on the train to not be in other commuters way (like backpacks can be). I like how quick and easy it is to adjust the strap too. I love how many compartments there are in the bag to store all my necessary "treasures." The beverage holder compartments on the inside are on the smaller side but they hold my MiiR water container perfectly (if you need a size comparison). Overall, would definitely recommend this bag for commuting to work.

This is my 4th or 5th Timbuk2 bag and it is perfect. A few custom touches was all it took. I like the sturdy material of the custom orders and am looking forward to many years of use from this one.

I can't say enough great things about Timbuk2 and this bag!!!! The versatility and durability is amazing. The size is perfect for the person that feels they need to have everything "plus the kitchen sink".

I needed something that was in between a book satchel and a full on backpack with the proverbial kitchen sink. I've admired Timbuk2 for quite a while and purchased my bag during the Thanksgiving week sale. I love the bag it is exactly what I need for transporting my laptop and a few additional essentials without adding a lot of bulk. This is my first messenger style bag, and I enjoy how I can carry it while keeping my hands free. I have also received a lot of compliments about the bag and how nice it looks. So far, the only "negative" about the bag is me still learning where the pockets are, how to quickly open and close it, etc. That's not an issue with the bag itself; I just need to use it more. And I definitely plan to do that.

I purchased my first massager in the early 2000's it was an extra small. It healed up to what ever I could put in it. I still use it today. But now I need a larger bag to hold my iPad. I purchased the small massager bag. What a joy to only carry one bag now. Everything fits!! I love my bag.

I bought this for my dad. He recently got a 17in laptop and couldn't find anything (other than a heavy OLD briefcase) to put it in. He loves this bag and is amazed by all of the pockets. I chose this one for him because (1) it was large enough, (2) I loved the color, (3) it has a handle on the top to make it easy for taking the shoulder strap off.

My daughter hand picked this bag for Christmas after having a messenger bag previously. Her current bag is still in great shape after about 10 years, but she wanted a change. She designed her bag herself and the outcome was beautiful. Having the ability to hand pick colors and size is wonderful. She found that this bag is a little longer/wider than her previous bag. I'm not sure if we mis-measured her prior bag or if you have changed the measurements of your newer bags. She loves it none the less.

So I placed my order, and about 2 weeks later, prior to receiving the bag, I get this email saying please review your bag. I'm thinking great, that means I have a bag somewhere that has been made, but I haven't laid eyes on it yet. I do have a bag from years ago, absolutely amazing quality. As for this bag, its future remains to be seen...

I don't think I'll ever put this bag's usefulness to justice. It's very spacious (fits my laptop which doesn't fit in most bags), seals up nice with velcro and straps and has plenty of divisions for organization. Definitely worth the buy.

I love the size of this bag because it's the perfect fit for my 13-inch MacBook Air and it fits my minimalist tendencies. I love being able to carry my bag all day without tiring - it fits everywhere I need it to - and it carries everything I need without excess storage space that adds weight and opportunity for clutter.

This will be used primarily as my wife's carry-on bag. It is perfect, with the cellphone pouch on the strap and zippered pockets for ID and loose items and enough room for her other stuff.

This bag is great. It's weather resistant, compact, I open it up and see at at a glance that all the stuff I need is in there. It is a grown-up bag for a professional educator.

I have had a Timbuk2 bag for almost 10 years, and decided I needed a smaller size for my bike commuting. I'm super happy with this bag as it has the same high quality workmanship that my old bag has. I know this will last the next 10 years. My only complaint is I wish the interior pockets had a velcro pouch to keep small items from flying around.

I bought an XS and S bags for gifts. The XS is perfect for traveling, enough space for camera, sunglasses, and other traveling essentials. The S is a great size for daily use, to carry a laptop, light sweater, water bottle, and note pad. The inside pockets with zippers are secured, and useful.

I've owned half a dozen or more Timbuk2 messenger bags but this is my first "large." And, yes, it is a beast but I love it: thoughtful design, lightweight, the right amount of storage pockets, padded MacBook slot, grab handle, big enough for a week of groceries and darn good looking to boot. I noticed improvements over my bags from 5 years ago: folding ears on the top flap to repel rain, slimmer fast adjustment bucket and a water bottle pocket. Otherwise it's pretty much the same as my prior classic messengers, guess that's why it's called a "classic messenger"! My only wee complaint is the shoulder strap, albeit soft and comfy, it is thinner than my prior bags and, thus, more prone to twisting and tangling. The rubber interior lining in my prior classic messengers cracked and peeled off after 2 or 3 years so hopefully this one uses better materials. All in all I'm a happy camper, especially for the sale price.
