I was a little skeptical before I purchased this jacket, knowing similar products usually cost a lot more. Also, I was afraid it might be too fitted ( I ordered a Small). But once I received the jacket and tried it on, I immediately fell in love with the fit and the length. Just perfect. I have worn it a couple of times in the rain. It remained dry. But since I haven't washed it yet and not sure whether that will reduce its water proof capability like those from other brands, I gave it 4 out 5 for function.

Used it while fishing.....rain water rolls right off. Keeps you dry. Strong velcro tabs hold nicely...no need to use zipper if you are dealing with off and on showers.

this is the second purchase for my teenage son. The plus is the attached hood. My son has had other rain jackets with detachable hoods, and, always, he removes it, then it goes missing. Great color/red, excellent quality and durability.

This Jacket saved me from the rain and it cuts the wind very nicely. It kept me dry and warm when I went camping.

I was looking for a rain jacket it fit my needs, quality was excellent as always Columbia products and priced to fit my budget. My wife liked it and really liked the color. Looking for the first rain to try it out

bought this jacket to replace my 15 year old Columbia jacket. I fish all year, rain or shine. This jacket performed so well in the pouring rain that I got my adult son one as well. He lives in Seattle and hikes in the rain. This jacket will suit him well for years to come... And it was a good value

I bought this to have a light rain jacket for packing for travel. I wear a medium and bought medium. It fits great and was what I was looking for. I haven't worn it in the rain yet, but, based on other reviews, I won't be disappointed.

great rain shell jacket

I bought four of these to keep on our boat for crew. we had s chance to try them out on a rainy, windy day with an occasional wave crashing up to soak us. The jackets were lightweight and breathable which is great for our Hawaii weather, but they are also totally waterproof. Not a drop of water got through. I'm going to order even more to keep aboard for our clients to use. The quality is superb. The design is attractive and functional and the jackets are even better than I expected and I expect a lot from Columbia.

I bought this light rain jacket for my boyfriend who is not a bulky- jacket wearing person. For the great rainy weather in the NW it's amazing. I have had one for over 2 years and it's still performing like brand new. The graphite color is light enough for spring/fall and still dark enough to go with other winter colors, very versatile.

Took this on a trip where the climate varied from snow to very hot, and this was the perfect jacket for the top layer in a layered approach to dressing for such a trip.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband, and he loved it! The blue was a bit more "blue" than I expected, but it looks good.

I got this jacket for my son. He really likes it and it looks good on him. It's waterproof without looking rubbery or plastic.

Very light weight and excellent in rain and mildly cold weather.

I am a new mail carrier for the USPS I don't have a uniform allotment yet so I have to get my own rain gear. Having used this coat in a moderate rain for 8.5 hours non stop, I found it, I stayed dry and comfy all day the pockets are big enough to fit my scanner and other necessities in. I've used the coat in shorter wet weather events but this really impressed me today even my Gore-Tex boots got soaked from all the water, but not this coat.

Needed some foul weather gear for fishing offshore SC. I needed something that would keep me dry and break the wind without being too hot. I used this jacket twice, and it performs this function perfectly. Very breathable and dries quickly. I also bought the Columbia pants and am very pleased with them. Quality looks great, and I anticipate at least a few years of occasional but challenging use.

Bought this for my boyfriend. Fits well with enough room for a sweater underneath. It's very warm and it looks great. Came neatly in the box and bag. No damage,and it came in 3 days.

JUst what I needed in a waterproof rain jacket. Superb product. Very satisfied with product.

It's a perfect product for semi-season weather. It's tough against water and wind. Only thing I didn't like is that when touch and close fasteners touch the net backing, they stick and may damadge it if you rip them off harshly.

Knew this jacket tended to run a little small so I ordered next size up. Fits great. Used it as soon as it came in for a rainy football game. Stayed comfortable and dry for the whole game.

I love this jack et it is very nice fits great and i would say it is worth the money even tho it is not the most expensive one out their it is still very nice. I hope u love it to because my experience with it it great. This jacket is good for hiking fishing walking around or just a light summer jacket etc. The material is rain prof on the out side and the inside material is like a swim suit liner but black but you do not notice it. Water tight and lightweight (which is perfect for the Florida wet season). Good fit but with enough room that I could layer a sweater underneath it if needed. I say you can't go wrong with this if you are looking for a rain jacket.
