This hat is very well made. It is lined on the inside with an elastic band that fits snug to your head in order to prevent the hat from blowing off. It does a good job staying in place, without feeling too tight. This being said, for people who know they have larger heads, go for the next size up (L/XL). I bought a hat for myself and for my mom thinking that she would fall in the medium category after she told me she has a bigger head than me. I should have listened because, she is going to be giving the hat to another family member and ordering the next size up for herself. I recommend this hat for gardening!

I bought this hat for my mom to wear to the beach. It is light enough to feel cool and comfortable but substantial enough to stay on the head. The cord is great to tighten in case of wind. Love it.

This hat is very comfortable and lightweight. It keeps the sun off my face and neck. It is very good quality and is worth the price.

I bought the XL size and it was a great fit. I really like it only thing that i would change is that I wish the brim was a bit floppier. But overall great hat.

I really like this hat. It fits well and is flattering. I have not tested how packable it actually is. My only suggestion for improvement is to change the cord/strap to a leather or higher quality material.

This hat fit the bill for my vacation-full of sunshine, warm weather, & pool time! I was a bit leery as to whether it would truly be 'packable' since my luggage was filled to the max, but it fine and I wore it everyday! Even received several compliments. Definitely recommend it. I only wish they made it in a youth size bc it is a little too big for my small head-ha!

Just received the packable hat in black beauty last week and have worn it paddling, gardening and sitting in the backyard. I did buy this for an upcoming trip to Florida in July and was enticed by the "packable" label. However I'm not sure how this hat is to be packable. The part that goes over your head is rather stiff so I don't think it can be folded, and it doesn't appear it can be rolled either. It would have been great if there were instructions on the website or the label as to how to make the hat packable. If I knew how to make it packable would make it 5 stars

I like the hat is very pretty. It sits higher on my head than I thought it would. So far it is ok. I haven't worn it much so I can't tell you how long it will last. It looks well made ans stylish. I got the blue one and I think it will go with most outfits. I bought it to keep from getting sunburn on my head and face so it will be perfect.

Ok, so this hat fits but just barely. I wear a 7 1/2 which is really hard to find a woman's hat to fit. Either way, it DOES fit, looks cute and trendy. I love it

Comfortable for whatever you are doing.

I wanted a stylish sun hat for sitting at ball games and at the beach. First, this one is cute (I just don't care for the unisex ones). I have a large head and the L/XL size on this one actually fits me- which is not true of other brands. It packs fairly well, not as "packable" as the nylon fabric booney hats, but when I lay this in a suitcase and try and fill the inside of the hat with things it retains its shape well. I've had no problem gently folding it to fit into a day beach bag.

finally! a hat that's not only durable and quality, but also one that comes in fun colors and doesn't look drab and boring.

I haven't been able to get this hat so bent out of shape it didn't bounce right back. The brim is great for keeping sun off my face and back of neck while gardening. It does run a bit big for me, so I'm glad of the strap to hold it in place. That seems plasticky, so I'll likely be replacing that some time with a leather cord. Other than that we'll see how it stands up to time, but great for me now.

I bought this hat as a gift for my mom. She is outdoors a lot doing gardening and sitting by the pool. This hat is perfect for keeping the sun off her face. She was so happy with the hat and she really likes the 'Sparrow' color. I may consider buying one for myself!

I purchased this in sm/md...I have really short hair and wanted a more snug fit. It started out great, but seemed to stretch out after a very short wear. It packed/crushed in my suitcase nicely and shape returned no problem. I'm currently looking for a way to tighten the fit, but overall pleased.

I loved the hat even though the Sm/Med is too large for my head. It was not smashed in the box; however, when I went to wear it I noticed the stitching was coming loose. I called for a replacement, so will hope for the best!

I'm 5'1" tall and have a small head. The S/M is a little too big, but not outrageously and comically so like most sunhats - at least I don't look like a little kid wearing an adult's hat. I needed something with a wide brim and a strap that could be packed in a suitcase, and this fits the bill.

I've got the big head blues. This hat is really cute and well-made; unfortunately, I think it runs a little small. Columbia says the L/XL should fit my 24" head, but I couldn't even squeeze it over my cranium. Time to see a shrink!

Hat is fine. Crown is a tad pointy but I just pat it down. Wide brim is great for keeping sun off my face, and out of my eyes. Chin strap is super for keeping hat in on the wind. I do wish there were vents though to keep cool in hot weather. This replaces an old Columbia straw hat that I wore to pieces, which I loved.

I love that it's packable (flat) but I haven't tried rolling it yet. I needed a somewhat stylish hat that had a chin strap, and could travel the world. The UPF 50 sun protection is great, too. I have a small head and the s/m hat fit is very comfortable ... the sweat-wicking head band is an added bonus. Wide brim offers plenty of shade. I sure hope this lasts a long time!
