Fits well. I got a large, which runs a little big but I think it is on purpose. I would be able to put layers below the rain coat for colder weather.

A good chunk of my commute to work involves walking outside. I got tired of buying a new umbrella every other month so I decided to get this jacket. It's very lightweight and rain just beads up and falls off which is great. Also, it's compact and folds into a small pouch which can easily be thrown into a backpack or carry on for traveling. The downside is even with the arm vents, it is blazing hot in the southern heat. With our afternoon thunderstorms, it's usually very hot and humid when I wear the jacket and I start sweating almost right away. Then the jacket basically glues itself to my skin. I did bring the jacket to Oregon on a trip and it was great so it really depends on your climate.
Overall, I like the jacket. It beats wrangling an umbrella and replacing it every other month, but I wish it was cooler in the southern heat.

I bought the evapouration because I couldn't get another Storm, in the Hi Viz Yellow.
The Storm has a better fabric and also has a zipper flap.
The Evapouration is still a good rain jacket, just not as good, in my opinion.

This is a great rain jacket. I got it to use at woek and since I'm on the log yard a lot I needed the safety yellow. It's a perfect fit for my job. Great product ,thank you Columbia.

I've used this on a few day hikes and a five day. It does what it's supposed to do. Water beads up nicely, and I stayed dry while getting rained on a few times. I've had no issue with leaking a small minority have said. Just want to remind everyone to take proper care while washing, and it should hold up fine.
The vents in the arms are nice for breathability in between showers.

Nice jacket, looks great, but I really miss having a chest pocket. It is very lightweight. I have not put it to the test with any serious rain but that will come soon. This is a replacement for another Columbia jacket that I loved but that jacket had a problem with the velcro at the wrists. The replacement is not as nice as my previous jacket. I wish I could have gotten the exact same jacket but maybe it was discontinued.

I love the way it fits, looks and feels, but - the material does not let the heat to come out, so you have to open the armpits zippers, which caused mine to tear off the zipper. Sending it back to Columbia now.
Will see how it goes.

This is a great rain jacket for misting rains and light drizzle, but POURing rain....not so much. I bought this jacket for a 3 day backpacking trip that we were expecting rain, and it rained almost the entire time. The jacket kept me dry for about 30 minutes. After that, I was soaked to the core. It is definitely water resistant, not water proof. The name EvaPOURation suggests that it is capable of remaining dry during a downpour, but it won't. Other than its inability to keep one dry, it seems to be a well made jacket.

Poor fabric and design. This jacket fits kinda funny, runs large, feels like a tent. Not like the competitor's jacket. I buy one of these thin, pack-able jackets every couple years. This doesn't have the same waterproofing I am used too. I won't purchase this brand's jacket again.

Why can a customer not find a good rain jacket under $100 that has a 2-way front zipper any more? Be aware before you buy that this jacket does not appear to have a 2-way zipper (if that is important to you). Many manufacturers are going the way of one-way zippers unless you want to spend $150 or more.

It does the job, but the jacket is a lot lighter and the material more flimsy than expected.

I was very disappointed with this jacket. It is light and definitely seems like it would be waterproof. However, I could barely get my arms inside the jacket and it runs very, very small. I have had Under Armour base layer shirts that fit more loosely. Also, because the material doesn't stretch, if the jacket is too small, it's basically unwearable. I bought the medium and once I got my arms in it, I could barely put my arms at my side. The models in the pictures much be very, very, very skinny. I would definitely recommend at least one size up.

Bought the jacket 1 year ago and used throughout the year. The jacket is waterproof but not very breathable and feels like wearing a plastic bag. Noisy fabric, uncomfortable liner. Doesn't breathe very well even with all vents and pockets unzipped. Fine for casual use around town but not for technical use.

Purchased this jacket for daily walks when rain pending. First time out in 50 degree Pacific Northwest weather with light rain drizzle after an hour walk the jacket was all wet inside from perspiration even with the underarm vents open and light clothing underneath. Not impressed. The breathability is quite questionable. No inside pockets.

The rain jacket looks great but is definitely not worth the money. This jacket should be advertised to only be worn as a rain jacket and not for activity other than light walking. I wore this jacket during a bike ride on a brisk morning and arrived soaked in my own sweat. It did not evaporate or wick any moisture. Even with the side vents open I have had the same results. Total disappointment!

Just doesn't function as advertised. Bought for a trip to a colder, wetter climate. Hiked over varies terrain, so I did perspire. Arm vents didn't help. Jacket was wetter on the inside than out. Soaked my shirt. Ended taking off the jacket in disgust. No less wet, but less hassle. Poor description or poor design. Maybe both. .

Although this garment looks nice and smart, it is not for active outdoor use. It does not breath, and you get soaked when you do even a mild outdoor activity. Moreover, it is not durable at all. I have worn mine just a few times, and the inner lining began to peel away as seen in the photo. In my humble opinion, it is not a piece of outdoor clothing, merely a casual urban rain jacket.

This jacket repels rain well but it just doesn't breathe! A little exertion and you're wetter inside the jacket than outside!

I ordered this because of so many positive reviews this thing has. The problems I have with it are as follows: 1) this thing starts cooking me as soon as I put it on 2) this thing fits me like a big poncho, it's way too big.
I am holding on to it to compare it to the MEN'S SLEEKER RAIN JACKET, which from the two reviews it has the people were happy it doesn't cook them. So hopefully that is the rain jacket for me because this is WAY TOO HOT, and the fit is terrible. I guess if I were overweight or shaped like a ball this would fit good. I like clothing with an athletic cut, like the Ascender Hooded Softshell Jacket.

I purchased two rain jackets, one for myself and one for my daughter. The one I received for my daughter (Arcadia II) was exactly was she wanted with great fit and quality. This one that I ordered for me (Evapouration) fit just fine but I was very surprised to find it has a plastic lining which is not very comfortable to bare skin when wearing a short-sleeve shirt. Sending it back today.

I love the way this jacket looks and feels but it gained some mysterious stain on the front almost immediately. It says that it is machine washable so I tried to wash the stain off with a little soap by hand. The result: the part I attempted to wash did not remove the stain but I did manage to deactivate the waterproof part of that area somehow so when it rains, that part gets especially dark and wet. As far as a 100$ rain jacket is concerned with eVAPorwhatever technology, I am disappointed it is this susceptible to the elements.

I work outside covering athletics in all conditions, especially for fall and spring rain. I have worn this in maybe 3 good rainstorms and was disappointed each time. Anything other than a lite mist gets through. I wore it during a downpour this past season of football and am done with it, I was soaked. I usually love everything Columbia puts out, but this was a miss.

Wore this jacket for the first time in a very light rain and cane home to find more water on the inside of the jacket than on the outside. Not sure how that's possible or what the defect could be. Returning the jacket and trying something else

doesn't "breathe". Feels like plastic against your skin. Don't know whether it will keep you dry.

Its constructed well, and I wish it was waterproof. But it leaks like crazy all along the shoulders. I just don't understand how a new coat can leak like this. I want to say it has to do with it not being gore-tex. This is the first and last time I buy anything that is not gore-tex.
