I have had this jacket for a few months now and I think it is one of the best rainjackets available. This jacket is extremely light weight for a rain jacket. A lot of rain jackets, like Gortex ones, can be heavy because of the waterproofing but this one isn't. I will say the jacket could be a little more breathable; the zippers under the arms help a lot but you can still get a little warm.
In terms of quality, this jacket is well above par. All the seams are sealed on the outside and on the inside; the front zipper is also tightly waterproofed. However, the side pockets do not have the same zippers which would be beneficial (this is why four stars on quality). Another plus of this jacket is that it is extremely wind proof.
One last note...this jacket works great as on an add on in between seasons. Right now (in between winter and summer) this jacket works great as an outer layer. A winter coat is too much but just the rain coat isn't enough; this works great over a fleece or sweater or other light jacket. I am sure the same applies for the fall.

After a long spring and getting through the summer in the ADKS... I love the jacket. It's done a great job at keeping me dry as well as cool. The main reason I bought this jacket was because of the massive underarm vents for summer showers. It's also a nice plus that it packs fairly small into it's own pocket to fit in my pack easily.

The jacket is a great way to stay dry from the rain without the buildup of heat underneath. I use it for hiking, biking, running, jumping, or even around the house. The lightweight design makes it compact and easily packed into a backpack, or handy to handle by hand. The zipper design is also waterproof, yet maintains optimal gliding and can be zipped single-handed. For the price, pound for pound, this jacket is the best around.

Just got this jacket in the Green. I've really enjoyed it so far, and even took on a trip to climb Mt. St. Helens. I stayed very dry - and being able to pack up the jacket into it's pocket was a great feature to have when I didn't need to wear a shell. The hood was easy to adjust when it got windy - and I felt comfortable throughout the day, so I'm a believer in the EVAP. I really like the waterproof front zipper - and how it has a bit of a shine to it. Gives it a nice look rather than a storm flap. Bought the women's model for my fiance and she has really enjoyed it too!

Bought jacket as a gift. The color is true to picture and true to size. A basic rain shell.

Comfortable and extremely warm. Great protection from the elements, but does run a bit big compared to my other jackets that are "Larges" That is alright though because itll leave room for layers if need be.

I'm sure it will be a good jacket in the fall and spring when you aren't exposed to heat. It will not be good for summer rains. The jacket has no lining and is a functional sauna when worn with short sleeves in moderate heat.

I live in Florida we're it rains a lot. It is also very humid so sometimes a rain jacket can make you just as wet on the inside from sweating. Not the case with this jacket, the under arm vents are awesome to help with air flow while keeping the rain out.

I have only used it for a short time work 3 weeks with minimal rain
1) a little small across the back and a little short in the arms
2) there are no inside pockets. So ushually with a well made jacket, the inside front pockets are sown to create 2 pouches on the inside. This is not the case.
3) other than that great product. Keeps me warm and dry. I run in it. Armpit vents work great!

This is a great jacket. It's inexpensive, lightweight, and waterproof. It also works well as a windbreaker. The material is a little noisy, and feels a bit cheap, but for everyday gear that keeps you dry and adds a wind proof layer, you can't beat this.

We always check the weather forecast before we embark on vacay and all 3 trips this year required rain gear. Our first trip in June to Kauai took us to tropical storm conditions and the Evapouration jacket performed well until we encountered high winds. Waterproofing failed and I was soaked 100% everywhere. Our 2nd trip in Sept. took us to Vancouver & Victoria BC. It rained all 7 days but was light. The jacket again performed well and kept me dry. Last week (November) took us to 3 days at Disneyland and it rained 2 of the 3 days. No problems and the Omni Tech actually kept me warmer than my favorite "grab" jacket. As a light-to-moderate rain jacket, it's the best thing I've ever had. For severe conditions, you need to move up in the weight and materials category. Overall value was excellent as it packs light, performs well and doesn't break the bank.

This product surpassed my expectations in terms of a water-proof outer layer. I was kept warm and dry while still being able to regulate temperature with the under arm openings. I would highly recommend this product for any outdoor activity where rain or snow might be expected.

I bought this jacket in the spring and took it hiking with me every weekend. It kept me dry in moderately wet weather. I was impressed by its breathability. while I wouldn't expect to keep dry running a marathon zipped up, I could exert myself hiking and stay fry with the proper use of the vents.. My product broke a zipper while being packed into a pocket, and Columbia honored their warrantee and replaced it.

I bought this for my husband. Overall, the raincoat is good quality. However, it would have gotten a higher rating if there was an inside mesh. This mesh helps with the coat not sticking.

Overall this is a great jacket, the only reason I'm not giving it 100% across the board is because I was expecting it to be more breathable. There are 2 large zippers, one under each arm to vent, but the fabric itself is certainly water tight. All the materials are well made and the overall look of the jacket is great. Highly recommended for a good everyday rain jacket.

Excellent rain coat with a good fit. Keeps you dry and comfortable in the biggest of rains. I did find that it was difficult to zip up sometimes due to the material of the coat. Not a huge issue, but can take some extra time just put on your coat when you want to move quickly.

I'm very happy with this rain jacket and really look forward to my summer hikes in the PNW!
I love having my hands in pockets while walking, but here is the one problem with this jacket, the pockets are a very large hole'd mesh (I think intended for easy packing?) but it is just unpleasant to have my hands in there and worse, there's a breeze that comes in and so my hands are not warm or protected. I also would NOT feel secure putting anything in there while hiking, which is a bummer, since they are the most available pockets when you have a large backpack on. It hasn't killed this project for me, but I really don't like it. I also would've enjoyed a left chest pocket, but as I said, I like good pockets :)
Still happy with this jacket and think it will fulfil it's mission

Hiked twice in rainy conditions which is not easily done in SoCal. So far so good! This shell does what the doctor ordered. 2-way zippers and a small internal pocket would be nice improvements. Other shells have these features for just a few $. This one fit my budget and it gets the job done. My neighbors kids had a blast trying to drench me with their supersoakers. I needed to test it before hitting the trail! I stayed dry and stylish!

I live here just outside of Portland My best friend is a black GSD and we do a lot of walking and hiking around. It does not matter to Odin if this time of year is wet. The Evapouration jacket is very light and completely waterproof. Now I need a pair of pants made the same way.

Very lightweight, and excellent water barrier. This jacket is not warm by itself but is an excellent outer shell. My only real problem with it so far has been the mesh lining of the pockets. Not great for keys or keeping hands warm. Also I am not sure how they will wear over time. I hope I am proved wrong in my doubts and dont end up with shredded pockets.

This jacket is awesome. It's light weight, keeps me dry and looks great! It does run "true to size" for me since I was thinking about wearing this over a sweater or something so it fits great. The adjustable wrists and waist keeps it nice and snug to the body. Breathes well and does not feel bulky at all. Granted we don't get much rain in So Cal but I was glad I had it with me at work one morning were it was raining, kept me dry and worked great. Great jacket!
