Damm you Vionic... you have ruined me for all other sandals!! I have a genetic collagen disorder that causes my connective tissues (tendons. ligaments, etc) to be overly elastic. For my feet, this means low and painful arches that collapse into excruciating over-pronation. Without very aggressive arch support in my shoes, I can barely walk b/c of the pain. I had started living year-round in Dansko clogs b/c no sandals were supportive enough for my super-needy feet... until Orthaheel/Vionic came along. For me, not even Dansko, Naot, or Mephisto sandals can rival the arch support and comfortable sole stride offered by Vionic. Which is sad, but only because Vionic tends not to offer options in natural, earthy-looking leather like the other brands I just mentioned. Vionic style options seem to range from very sporty-looking to kind of plastic-y dress-up patent and metallic looks. Not ideal style choices for a bohemian, crunchy-granola girl like myself. Vionic if you're reading this, please please please bring some natural, earthy-looking, nubuck-type leathers into the mix!! Or at least a chocolate brown option that isn't metallic, other than the unisex Wave option, which is just too wide for many of us ladies!

Read the reviews and was prepared to have a break in period. No so. I put them on and have had them on all day. Possibly because I was coming from a pair of sole shoes. Love them. Not impressed with the looks but hey, they are comfortable. Only comment I have to make is the sizing. They are true to size which is fine if you are a solid size. For those in 1/2 sizes you will find the smaller size is too small and the larger size is too big, just like goldilocks. They do run wide. For me that is a good thing.

This shoe is too big - I have a skinny, narrow foot and I was hoping this might work, but it does not.

While the comfort and arch support is great, I found the straps to be too loose and big. They were actually "floppier" than my 5 year old, well-worn Tides. I guess a slight change to the design - but sadly, I had to return mine.

My doctor recommended Vionic for my plantar fasciatis. These are fantastic! The arch support is great and the heel is nice and cushiony. They are perfect for wearing around the house while my heel heals. The only criticism I have is that the strap between my toes is very tight. It hasn't loosened up in two weeks, so I don't expect it ever will. They just won't be great for walking long distances. I wear a size 7 and the 7 fit perfectly.

If you need a flip flop with support, this is it. They seem to run a tad big but choose your regular size or the toe post will hurt.
Most important that the arch is in the right place. This is as good as it gets for what it is. Great for standing, fair to good for walking. I have Kalupa Kai but no arch support in those. This is way better.

I've been having a lot of knee pain and went to a podiatrist who recommended these shoes. I am normally a 7.5-8 and ordered an 8 which was way too big! The 7 fits great and I love them so much i just ordered a second pair (my doctor suggested I wear a pair in the house too, rather than go barefoot on the hard floors). I'm hoping these help with my knee pain, so we'll see. They feel good, anyway!

I love the arch support in the sandals. I am 5 foot one 125 pounds and bought a size 8 when I usually wear a size 9. The straps on the tide 2 are made for a fuller foot therefore the sandal wobbles a round on my foot. I am keeping the sandal and will attempt to make the strap shorter since I need the arch support. Zappos customer service is amazing when it comes to returning or ordering shoes.

True to size in length. Size 5. Nice supportive footbed with high arch. Too wide in the straps. I have an average width foot. I couldn't keep them on my feet without effort.

Great flip flops if you need arch support. The color faded a bit on mine, perhaps from walking on the beach so much.

Wonderful shoe if you order several pair and get the one that fits your fit the best. Between my mom and I we own lots of these but there's no consistency with the way the shoe is made. The straps are not the same on each show meaning some are looser fitting than others. The arches in the shoes aren't consistent neither. Like I said wonderful shoe but you may have to order several to get a pair that's actually made correctly.

Needed size smaller than usual (ordered 7 after trying 8). Cushioned, but not squishy footbed. Excellent support. Zappos is excellent!

I agree with other posters that these new Vionics are not the same as the Orthoheel. The material is more spongy and not as sturdy as they were before. And shoe is slimmer also. They just feel more flimsy and not as long lasting. The only reason that I felt that I needed to replace my old pair is that I wore them in the sand and they got dull from it. Other than that they are still a great fit. I am not sure about this new pair, I am not sure how they will be as far as support for low arches and pronation. I am going to keep them but I am not happy about the change. I feel like they are skimping on material to make a bigger profit.

These are very comfortable sandals. These work well for me since I can not wear my orthotics in any sandals. I have very wide feet. These probably run wide because they fit me perfectly. The material reminds me of plastic Crocs flip-flops with better arch support. They are not fancy, just comfortable. I tried two of the nicer styles but returned them because they did not fit well.

I have a pair of true Orthaheel flip flops and can't find them any longer, so I went with the Vionic Tide II. They are very similar to the Orthaheel pair and quite comfortable. I think they are a little bigger, or longer, than usual but I don't have trouble keeping them on my feet. My only slight complaint is that the piece that fits between my toes rubs a bit and is not as comfortable as the true Orthaheel.

These are stiffer and less comfortable than my previous Vionics, however the arch support is excellent. Hoping they soften with wear.

I purchased these shoes because of recommendation from a podiatrist for arch support (sadly, I am no longer allowed to wander around barefoot so this is a compromise). I agree that the suggestion to order a half size smaller than your usual size is probably accurate. If I had gone up half a size, I think they would have been too long and I would trip on them. The only issue I have had with these (which is going away) is that the strap across the top of one of my feet rubbed a sore in one area. However, that seems to be resolving itself.

Good flip flop. It took some getting used to the arch support, I am guessing, because the foot bed is firm and not as soft and squishy as my other flip flops. Plus I really don't care for the textured feel in the foot bed even though it is subtle. I prefer smooth. Having said all that I did keep them because they do support and don't make my feet tired as do other flip flops.

I have very flat feet with collapsed arches plus a bad case of plantar fasciitis which has lasted almost a year. The arch support in these sandals is perfect! I prefer a very firm arch, and these support my feet very well while also giving a little bit of cushion in the heel. In fact, after wearing these daily for a week while on a cruise (and walking nearly 4 miles each day around the ship and in port) my plantar fasciitis was cured! A couple of things to note- The straps dug into the tops of my feet at first leaving uncomfortable red marks. This resolved after a day or so. These aren't as cute as I had hoped, but plenty attractive for an orthopedic sandal. I normally wear a 7.5-8 in dress shoes (8.5 in running shoes), but I chose the 7 in this sandal. The straps are a bit more snug, but I feel that gives good support. My heel isn't falling off the back of the sandal at all.

I bought a tide sequins version of this in a local store. Was pretty skeptical at first, the arch support is an adjustment, and I have lived in Birkenstocks (which alleviated my PF pain completely) the last few summers. But I wanted something with some cushion, and something I could get wet. So I have been living in my Vionic's that I purchased about 3 weeks ago, and I love them! I love them so much that I ordered another pair, this time just the plain Tide, no sequins, nothing fancy, just good old take camping get em wet in the river flip flops. For size reference, I normally wear an 8.5 in Nike and Adidas running shoes, and always wear a 38 in Birkenstocks. I don't appear to have wide feet, but I have returned some Allegria sandals and Ahnu hiking boots because they were just too narrow for my foot. If you have a narrow foot, these Vionic's might be a little sloppy in the strap area.

I now own 3 pair of Vionic shoes and I love them all. I have 2 pairs of Tide in different colors and one pair of Floriana. My feet tend to get hot in the Tide sandals but I still love them for comfort.

The shoe was nice overall, but the right foot seemed to have a defect and the the toe divider was very tight and crooked. I am going to be exchanging them and hoping that the new pair is better.

I have 3 pair of these flip flops. The original ones I had - before they were called "Vionic" had a better arch support - and were better for my heel. The new ones are still better than normal flip flops - but would love to see the original design return!
