I've worn Orthaheels for many years. I have major foot problems & they were the only shoe I could wear comfortably. I checked the Vionic website before I purchased these shoes & they stated the shoes were exactly the same, as they were before, so I bought them. THESE ARE NOTHING LIKE THE PREVIOUS SHOES. I wore them around the house, hoping to adjust to them & did not. I decided to try wearing them out, as my last pair of the old kind, are wearing out. These new shoes gave me blisters, along the straps. These are nothing like they were & I'm very disappointed. I even wrote to Vionic & never heard from them.

The most uncomfortable flip flops ever. Arch support is one thing but it feels like a rock is implanted in each shoe. Honestly they are painful and I actually have good arches.

I was anxious to try these because of foot trouble I was having and all the wonderful reviews. However, no one said they were tight across the top. I could bare get my foot into the shoe. I still can't. I rarely wear them because they won't fit. I only kept them because I'm in the process of losing weight and hope they will fit. The technology for the shoe is good, as I have experience from other styles in this brand. However the flip flops flopped.

Unfortunately I had the pleasure of owning the original Tide by Orthaheel and they were wonderful. Had I known that the formula was going to change, I would have bought more. These Tide II are awful. The rubber is stiffer and lighter (cheaper?). The straps, cheap too, are not soft and padded like the originals and cause blisters. The arch support is in a different place causing additional blisters. I'm not sure but I think the company was sold and now we have this poor facsimile of what was once a great product.

This VIONIC Tide II is nothing like the older Orthaheel Tide. The arch is not as high, it doesn't fit properly-it wears like a 99 cent flip flop. Thing between my toes rubbed my toes where the others never did. These shoes do not measure up to the older Orthaheel. I would not recommend these to anyone.

Love the shoe but the lining turned black with wear, that is to say sweat turned the lining black. It's now too nasty to wear and it's only been one season.

Like some others, I was disappointed in my Tide II order because it had changed from the 2 pairs of Tide flip-flops I've been wearing full-time in the summer for three years. The Tide II has a harder and heavier footbed, and the arch is farther toward the front, as are the straps, which are also looser. When walking they flop around much more, and I got cramps in my feet. I'm so sorry they changed a shoe that was so great, and obviously so popular: it's all over the internet but mostly sold out now. Please change them back.

I purchased the Vionic Tide II sandals thinking they would fit the same as my 2 pairs of Orthaheels that I have been wearing for 2 years. I have plantar fasciitis and it has not bothered me since I began walking in them...until I started wearing the new Vionics. I tried breaking them in but my plantar fasciitis has returned...along with heal pain. When comparing both shoes, I found that the arch support is less and seems to be located differently than my Orthaheels. Also, the material of the shoe feels harder...more like plastic and the footbed is not as comfortable. I wish I could find the old style Orthaheels. I don't know why companies have to change their products when they have something that is working well!

What happened to the quality of shoes from this company? I've purchased and loved earlier versions but these are extremely uncomfortable and chintzy. What a disappointment!

I would've loved these sandals, however after inspecting the side straps, I noticed that a gentle tug is all it took to make the glued on side straps come apart! I'm picky with my shoes, I demand perfection, but, this is too much to pay for a cheaply made sandal! Back they went! Spenco sandals are very well made!

Buyer beware -- these are not the original Orthaheel Tide sandals. They are the updated version (Vionic), and the footbed differs substantially from the originals. I bought these specifically to replace my two original Tide pairs that are pretty beaten up after a couple of years of regular wear, because I loved the original Tide, and I am convinced it was the best cure for my plantar fasciitis. I don't know why Orthaheel changed a good thing. They are nowhere near as comfortable, nor do they have as much arch support as before. They look very similar, but that's about all they have going for them. Otherwise, they are just really expensive flip flops. I'm really disappointed in the company and hope that they bring back the original Tide design! Why mess with a good thing?

I was excited to get comfortable flip flops. They looked cute. However, these shoes are the worst! I was in so much pain after wearing them for an hour.

I have plantar fascia and a heel spur in one foot and these hurt! the arch is so high and rigid that it just digs into my foot. I thought maybe I'd be able to wear them puttering around the house if I can't wear them out but I don't think so. My friend tried them too. She has plantar fascia as well and thought she might like them, so she wore them for a few hours at my house and also didn't like them. She also said they were painful. I have 2 pairs of Orthaheel house slippers and these were my first try with the flip flops. I guess I can wear them to and from the pool but that's about it.

I have over 22 pairs of ORTHOHEEL sandals this, the new Vionic is not the same. The heel is not as deep or the arch not as high. The straps across the top are too big which causes your foot to slip and twist as you walk. I will be looking for a new brand for my plantar problems

These are so not the same! What the hell happened to Orthaheel? I ordered a replacement pair of sandals & this Vionic crap came. I am so disappointed. These sandals are way slimmer and just feel tighter than my others. I wish they would have kept the old design. I hate change.

I need a sandal with excellent arch support and this has it. Unfortunately, the toe post is shorter than typical and the shoe runs small. I usually wear a 6 so I ordered that at first. It was too long and the arch didn't fit properly. I returned and ordered a 5. the length and arch support were perfect, however the toe post was so short on the right foot that it caused bruising! I tried to wear it several times hoping the strap would stretch since the foot-bed was so perfect. Unfortunately, it would not and I had to send it back. Still searching for sandals with good support.
