the sole is extremely hard and the material felt extremely hot right as you wear it! The arch support of these sandals is definitely not comfortable for people with high arches. I couldn't stand them for one minute, very uncomfortable and tough on my feet. Had high hopes about the brand but had to put them back in the box right away.

Foot bed extremely hard, I had a pair two years ago and they had a foam foot bed. Too hard returning.

I am the review who had bad knee pain with the Vionic shoes. I forgot to mention I had the Vionic Tide II. Maybe other types work better.

This was the first time that I have ever bought a pair of Vionic shoes. I am always looking for a comfortable pair and thought I would give these a try. I wore them all day on Sunday and by that evening my knees were starting to hurt. For the next two days I was in bad pain and couldn't figure out what I had done. My knees were killing me. The only thing different in my routine was the new Vionic sandals! Very cute but it has taken me four days now and I am starting to feel like I can walk almost normal without pain in my knees. So, sorry to say I am going to return them.

I've been wearing this brand and this style since origination-even the same color as my staple go to sandal. I found that this year's order the sandal was smaller--even measured the length compared to my other pair. I'm really disappointed in this product now. I ordered my usual size 9 and my heel was hanging off the back.

Reviewed at Vionic Shoes
I bought these thinking I could get support with flip flops during the summer. Sadly they will not work. The shoe is WAY too wide for a medium making my feet squish out where the arch is pushing the sides of my feet into the outer straps which is not very attractive. The arch is to big. The straps are way too large (probably because the shoe is too wide) making the shoe hard to keep on while walking. The toe piece is too far back (and too big around) making my foot go off the back of the shoe and leaving a lot of space in the front. If anyone out there has another shoe company recommendation for flip flop arch support that isn't so severe please advise. I will be returning this shoe.

I really wanted to love these sandals!I started feeling bad that I didn't like how they felt due to all the great reviews but quickly decided that not all feet are created equally & what works for someone else may not work for me..I also want to clarify that people aren't complaining because the shoes feel different (I could deal with different and even expect that since my arches falling/ feet not being in the correct position is the issue to begin with) These Shoes HURT! The material isn't soft therefore provides absolutely No Shock Absorption! Every step feels as I've seen it described best (on another review) like there is a baseball in the arch of your foot.. my plantars fasciitis is so much worse because of these flip flops! it feels like you're walking on concrete and I don't think they would ever 'break in' like some say. What I have read on other reviews is these are not the original Orthoheel Tide shoes & Vionic has recreated a cheaper imitation..? idk though.I just know the shoes Should NOT cause this much pain before you have had a chance to break them in I will never break them in if I can't wear them! They are going back.. I couldn't even give them the full 30 Days.** I wonder if the arch is too long for me (since the 7 is for 7's & 7.5's) the arch hurts so badly when walking (& still a day later) **The outside of my leg hurts all the way up just past the knee.I am giving 2 Stars because the Navy blue ones were sooo dang cute! (Black were cute too but didn't have my size)Gosh how I wanted them to work : (

Very disappointed. I've worn Vionics for years and the arch support in their shoes used to be much better. I contacted their customer service department and was told that the arch support in the Tide flip flops is the same as it used to be. I know it's not though, because I still have one old pair of the original Tide flip flops and they're much more supportive than the new pair I ordered - and promptly returned - to Zappos.

I think one would like these if they had not had the previous version of the Tide flip flop. These were a little too big, no heel stability and less arch support. Disappointed they changed the original, which was perfect.

Great customer service and fast delivery. However these shoes are not the same Vionic shoes they used to make. They are now making the arches too high therefore extremely uncomfortable. Go back to making them the way they used to be!

The fit was way too loose. I've worn Vionics before, and they fit well, but these are too loose and I had difficulty keeping them on my feet while walking. I'm disappointed because I really liked the style and color. Have to return them.

I'd read many positive reviews of this flip-flop & decided to try a pair, hoping for better support than the typical flip-flop. I was very disappointed. There was little support, & they were stiff & uncomfortable. I didn't think they'd soften up & didn't feel like waiting for that to possibly happen, & returned them. I'll stick to Teva.

I am a long time Vionic customer. I own two pairs of the original Tide II Flip Flops that I bought several years ago. I decided to treat myself to a new color of the Tide sandal since I love them so much. Well, these are not the same as the original. The footbed is cushier, which could be good, or it could be bad. I didn't think the arch support was as high or as firm as the older version. The main issue I have with this is that they squeak! The longer I wear them, the louder they squeak. It's not moisture, it has something to do with the material on the footbed. My foot slides on the weird substance and produces a squeaky sound. I am so very disappointed they changed these sandals. I know they are $65, but I would easily pay twice that much to get the original version back.

After reading glowing reviews of th4se, I decided to try them. I'm very disappointed. These are stiff & not very comfortable. My Tevas have more support & are much better for walking.

I was disappointed in these shoes. But have worn them so can't return them. They run big--and wide, which is a prioblem since I have a narrow foot. I haves friendship swears by them so thought I would try them. But I will not be buying this brand again. (I have another friend who I found out too late had the same experience as I did.) Reslly sorry I spent so much money on these.

Great arch support, but I wore these shoes for an hour and the strap rubbed the skin off my right foot in two places. Sending them back.

Agree with the previous reviewers. I lived in my Orthaheel sandals and wearing them corrected my ankle and knee pain. I ordered three pair (black/blue/brown) of Vionics expecting them to be identical to Orthaheel. These are not the Orthaheel sandals of old. What a shame that in revising the name to make it seem less "orthotic" they also ruined the integrity of the sandal. I am not returning the three pair as I can wear them for dress-up but I am continuing to wear my old Orthaheels for every day use. There is an old saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it"... I expect the Vionic sales to drop off as more people discover the change included more than just the name.
I'd also recommend:
There were no other brands on a par with the old Orthoheel

I thought that I would love these as I have very high arches. Sadly, they caused lower back and knee pain almost immediately. They are very cute. I tried, as suggested, to wear them for a couple of hours a day to start, but I could not get passed day two. They were too painful!

Loved everything about them... EXCEPT... the straps were too big! The bed of the sandal was a good fit, but the straps were to big and the sandal was floppy so back they go! Too bad... :(

This would have been my fourth purchase of these sandals, but I am sad to say, it no longer is the great fitting sandal of past years. I am sending it back with a one star rating because it now feels like a cheap copycat of the original. These once were the best sandals for problem feet. I still have my other three, but they are getting old. I am so bummed about this!

I am very disappointed with these "new Orthaheels." There is not as much arch support and the straps are too loose. These are going back.

I was really excited when I read the reviews about how much support these shoes gave. I usually wear Old Navy flat flip flops but in recent years Ive had foot pain and realized I don't have enough support for my high arches. I decided to give these a try. I was a little skeptical at first because they didn't quite look like the flip flips I was used to. My foot is a bit wider so I have a hard time with women's shoes and sandals. When I received these I tried them on. They hurt me between my toes and rubbed a bit at the top of my feet. Maybe because I am used to the plastic and these are material I'm not sure. I felt like these flip flops were chunky and clunky. If you don't mind that in a shoe then these will be perfect for you. But as a younger female I felt these weren't very fashionable.

Expensive sandals that don't fit shortly after you buy them. The straps stretch out almost immediately, so it is hard to walk in them. Big waste of money.
