Fit is small, the instep and outermost areas don't line up as with usual shoes. Getting a larger size would result in looseness in other areas. Very tight on the outer part because of this.

The quality of the Copeland Chukka is worse every time I buy a pair. I've been wearing Copelands for years, buying 1 or 2 pair a year. Since the pandemic, the stitching and the appearance of the leather are very different. Not the rugged rawhide look with heavy stitching that they used to have. The photos in the web site and catalogs do not accurately depict the way they look now.

1st time I tied the shoes one shoe lace frayed and broke the 1st day I wore them. Also, there is a leather seam inside the shoes that right in the middle of my heel and completely rubbed the skin off of both of my heels! Love the look but the above issues should not happen with these very expensive Chukka's. I love Johnston Murphy so this is very disappointing..

This is the second pair of Copeland chukkas I've bought. The first pair was one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and lasted me 2 years with 5 day a week of wear. They also looked fantastic. Because of this I ordered a new pair in the same size and color as the first. Unfortunately these are the complete opposite of the first pair comfort wise. The shoe is the correct size however there are now uncomfortable plastic pieces built into the back of the shoe ( i guess to make them more rigid) that are incredibly uncomfortable and leave me with blisters. I was hoping the shoe just need to break in, but even after a week and with thick socks my feet are in bad shape. Unfortunately I will not buy again, and can't recommend.

I have been buying the same pair of Copeland Chukka boots for that past several years. Always the same size and they have all fit/worn well. I recently purchased my latest replacement pair, but the fit was off and extremely narrow. There was also a ridge inside the heel that hurt. I was hoping they would break-in with wear, but they were just way too uncomfortable, caused blisters, and had to return. Customer Service was very nice about it and helpful (they get 5 stars).

Have their similar crepe dressy chunks. But this one has a very stiff heel reinforcement that rubs my ankles. Maybe it'll break in Comfort level now a D-

So excited to get this boot but arrived with a hole. Probably just a small amount of glue nit put on in manufacturing. .

The shoe looks and feels cheap or like plastic. Not like their past chukkas.

Great shoe but in spite of trying one on in the store for size, the shoe not only back ordered for several months, it was too small. I return led it very disappointed as I waited for months for them. I had read some reviews indicating that they are made in two different factories and that it would depend which factory they were made from :skin-tone-3:.

This review is more about the crepe soles that are used on various shoes and boots. I purchased two pair of boots and two pair of shoes with the crepe sole which feel great on the feet. However just as the leather breaks in (a few weeks) the crepe soles are shot. Then you have the issue that J&M no longer re-soles their products. Good luck trying to find a cobbler to re-sole a crepe sole ( I searched in three different city with no luck (New Orleans, New York, and Murfreesboro/Nashville, Tennessee home of J&M). Also good luck trying to find the proper waxed boot laces for the Forrester Cap Toe boots as J&M does not sell the replacement laces.

I bought a pair of these shoes six months ago and they still hurt my back heel. They are also heavier than others.

The shoes were slightly broken end on the toe but the sole looked good. Several scuff marks throughout on both shoes. Disappointed in Johnston & Murphy. This pair was my fifth pair of these chukkas.

Shoe runs a little narrow and the color changes slightly as they are worn (lightens). Lots of this style of shoe on the market so I would recommend shopping around and trying on other shoes first.

The shoes are well made but don't fit well at the toes or heals. Not ideal. They will be returned.

I love your boots but believe this style may have been a wrong choice for me. I wear a size 11 in all of your products and this style boot is an 11 but feels more like a 11 1/2 or 12.
