I like these boots. They fit my athletic calves which is hard to find (16.25"). They are comfortable and they are weather proof, but they look weather proof. They are not as sleek as I was hoping for. But those with athletic calves can't be too picky.

I love these boots! I feel like I have been on a perpetual search for a pair of boots that both look and feel great, and these are it. I have athletic calls but skinny ankles. I first ordered the size 9 (depending on the shoe sometimes I wear an 8.5 and sometimes a 9) and the boots were quite large in the ankles and foot. I was disappointed, but I decided to try the 8.5, and they are great. Still a little wider than I need in the foot, but a pair of heavy socks solves that. I love how the boot hits just below my knee in front (I am 5'6") and that they flare out just slightly at the top. The flare makes them more slimming on the leg. I can zip them easily over skinny jeans, and the elastic in the back is not very noticeable. So happy about these boots!

I tried several boots including the FRYES (which I love) but these guys turned out to be the perfect boot for me. The wide calf PLUS the stretchy corridor behind the boot makes for THE PERFECT FIT (even if I eat salty food and swell up during the day!). This boot is a "NO BRAINER". I highly recommend it! Deb

These boots are super comfortable. The stretch in the back of the boot are perfect for larger calves! This is the second pair I have ordered.

Wow...these boots are amazing. As a runner, my lower calf is bigger than most, but my upper calf does not quite qualify as wide. Because these boots have a stretch panel at the back, they fit perfectly. Really recommend for taller women that have problems finding the right fit!

Best riding boot I have ever owned. I have wider calves but when I usually buy wide calf boots, they are too big. These were perfect because of the stretch fabric down the back of the boot. I also love the fact that they are a dull finish (not shiny). I have gotten a ton of compliments on them already. Great casual boot!

These boots would not zip over my mega calves. So sad because these were great boots. I ordered a half size(8 1/2) larger than I wear in a regular shoe to allow for socks and I think they would have been perfect. The leather was not a glossy leather which is what I wanted. Very well made. Sure wish they would have worked for me.

This isn't a bad review...it's more neutral because it it just didn't work for me . I could tell that the boot is probably pretty comfortable but the foot bed width felt a little narrower than I was expecting when I ordered the size 9 - M(C). It is possible it just seemed that way to me because the tow area was definitely pointier than it looks in the picture and I'm used to wearing shoes and boots with a lot of wiggle room width for the toes. I measured the calf circumference on my boots at home and purchased based on that. Although this one measured the same it was a tighter fit? Overall it seemed to be a decent boot & well constructed. I would say that it is worth the experiment with free returns. Everyone's body is shaped different so you may not have the same experience I did.

I've been on the hunt for wide calf tall boots for years. Literally, years. Like other reviewers, most "wide-calf" boots that I've tried have been too tight at the top and made my legs go to sleep after a few minutes, if I could zip them up at all. Finally, I found these boots from Rockport which fit the bill. As a teacher, I'm on my feet most of the day. These have enough padding and support to keep my feet happy. I'm 5'8" with chunky calves and these come to just under my knee AND they zip up all the way - thanks to the goring in the back. I loved my black pair so much that I just bought another pair in brown. My only negative - I'm not a fan of the Rockport logo that is featured so prominently on the side, but I can live with it for tall boots that are super comfy.

I have never ever in my life been able to find tall boots that zip up over my calves. These boots are a dream come true! I am 5'9 and wear a dress size 12. These boots hit me about two inches below my knee, and look amazing! Not only that, they are made by Adidas and feel like you're wearing a pair of sneakers. Furthermore, they are waterproof. I bought the black and am now purchasing the brown! Do not look any further and these are your boots for the season!

This boot is really sharp. I ordered my usual size 10 M, and the foot part of the boot fit very well and was comfortable. I had to return, though, as the wide-calf was too wide for me. There was a gap of an inch or more at the outside top of the boot and it didn't look good (I could stick my hand down inside the boot.) I read so many reviews for this boot trying to discern whether I should buy the regular size or the wide-calf. I decided on the wide-calf after reading a review from a woman who had the same calf measurements as mine (one leg is 16" and the other is 15 1/2"). She said the wide-calf fit her perfectly. On me, they gaped so badly at the top that they reminded me of big pirate boots, but when I put my hand in the back of the boot behind my calf the extra space was taken up and the boot looked really good. So, I just ordered the regular shaft boot in the Brownie Brown (beautiful, rich color), and hope it fits better. For anyone who might be interested, the very top of the boot shaft on the 10 M measures 17 1/2" around and is 18" tall from the bottom of the instep to the top of the boot. It hit just below my knee and angles down slightly lower in the back. Love the boots.

I have had these boots for a year, they are comfortable, fit well, and I get a lot of compliments. The panel in the back is starting to wear and I discovered a hole near the sole today. I have worn them a lot however I was hoping they would last a little longer, I am a little disappointed. Overall these are great boots.

These are beautiful boots and I did not want to return them. I am 5'3" and the shaft is just an inch or so too tall for me. It hits too high on my leg and is uncomfortable. I am so sad, as the quality of the boot is excellent, and they fit great.

I just received this boot yesterday so I cannot comment on durability or comfort wearing for long periods of time but I will say that they are beautiful boots. They come exactly as pictured. Color was great (nice dark brown). I am not always too confident when ordering shoes without trying them on first but these were a perfect fit! Very true to size. I would definitely recommend this boot to anyone interested.

I have been looking for an attractive boot that is somewhat dressy with good support, and I had high hopes for these. They felt true to size and fairly comfortable, but they look more like work boots or rugged snow boots. The shaft fit my muscular calf, but the shaft didn't seem to taper at all and so the ankles were baggy and sloppy. Overall, I was disappointed and sent them back.

I was very disappointed in these boots. They looked and felt like rubber boots, not leather. Considering the manufacturer and the price, I expected better quality.

I was looking for a comfy black boot, after a long shopping trip in Chicago showed that my current "comfies" were imposters! It's not easy for me to find a good fit in boots - since I have long legs and wide calves and wear size 10.5. These not only fit, they are comfortable after a long day on my feet, and are really cute too. They have a bit of a rain boot look - but with all the sloshing around in ice and snow we do in Wisconsin, that works. A bit more money than I typically spend for a boot, but well worth it.

LOVE these boots. I've had the brown ones about 3 wks. I wore them 12 hrs. the first day, NO problem. Every bit as nice as they look, great quality, crazy comfortable. I bought them in black this week. Great to get them on sale!

It took 4 different sizes to find the perfect fit. Love these boots. Warm they aren't uggs but to go from a to b they are great. Im an 7.5 but I fond 8's to be more comfortable. I took an 8. Love em

I just think these are the very best, SO CUTE. So high quality and comfortable.

I was so excited about these boots, especially since they're waterproof and the weather here is brutal. Sadly, while I could get them zipped over my calves, it took some serious effort. They were comfortable when zipped and I could have made that work, but they were too tall for me as well. 5'4" with 17 inch calves.

I should start by saying that I have ordered hundreds of pairs of "wide calf" boots and this is only the second pair that I've been able to zip up. Plus, I can fit my skinny jeans in them! They also aren't baggy around the ankle, which I hate. Secondly, I'm 5'10" and these boots come almost to my knee - also a rare find. Thirdly, they are very comfortable and waterproof (as evidenced by trumping thru NYC slush this weekend) and the sole has decent traction for crappy weather (see slush above). Highly recommend these!

These boots are perfect. They are dressy yet comfortable. The perfect combination. I did buy the wide calf boots though and I have thin legs. The regular width was so tight it was cutting off my circulation.

Best investment in a boot that fits, both my foot, and my calf! Comfortable, functional, and, attractive per spouse.
