These are going back, I am not really happy with the style. The height of the shaft is great... but there is a large elastic gore in the back to accommodate the calves which is not to my style desires... just not happy with the style.

Beautiful boot, for a tall(er) lady. I wear a ladies' size 10 medium width. I ordered a 10 1/2 because I noticed the toe box looked a little narrow. They fit very well, except for the fact that the shaft wasn't going to accommodate my calf. I also thought the boot was a little too tall for me (I am 5'4"). I have a 17" calf, and I could barely zip the boot without jeans or a knee high sock on. These beautiful boots had to go back.

I'm 5'10", 185 lbs, with a 17" diameter calf, and I have high arches. I also use a standing desk at work and am on my feet for nearly the entire work day. Today is day two of wearing these boots, and so far, I am very satisfied with them so far because: - I was able to zip the boots up over skinny jeans and thick socks; it's snug, but not uncomfortably so. Plus, you'll want them a little snug as leather may stretch slightly with age. - The top of the boots hit about 2-2.5" below my knee (yes, I measured). - The elastic goring matches the color of the leather perfectly, so it is doesn't draw attention to itself. - I was on my feet all day yesterday (lots of walking and standing alike) and I had no blisters/soreness by the end of the day, nor this morning; I accredit that to the nice shape of the foot/sole (no pinched toes or heal), the arch support, and the shock-absorbing heal. - As a seamstress, I was pleased to see a lot of double stitching - think two lines of stitches close together running parallel to one another. You see a lot of double stitching running down the sides of jeans, for example. Double stitching is used to reinforce and strengthen an area where two pieces of fabric meet, and it's normally the first corner manufactures cut when making lower quality garments/apparel (as it uses twice the amount of time, and thread, to sew). - The leather arrived in good shape, i.e. not a lot of dings or scratches. - The zipper seams pretty sturdy, though the leather tag on the end that you grasp to zip them is a little thin so it may need to be replaced with something else down the road. That, however, is a very cheap/quick fix.

Tried several different boots - the calves were too narrow on these and my toes felt squished together side to side. Wasn't super fond of the texture of the leather or the big medallion logo on these either. Glad returns are so easy.

I have a very wide calf and although these fit that really well, the actually width of the shoe where my foot sits was much to narrow and normally I can get away with a normal or wide width shoe depending on the maker because my feet aren't very wide. I was quite surprised then that after ordering the wide width in these they weren't even close to fitting. Length of the shoe was a bit longer but pretty true to size.

Received quickly as normal for Zappos. The boots seemed like they would be tight but they went on fine and zipped over jeans with no problem. I am about a 17.5 calf. I feel that I will wear these a lot this season.

So far, these are comfy boots! I'm a 17.5" calf, and they are snug. With skinny jeans tucked in, they seem to stretch a little to accommodate. My wider foot (which is getting wider with age) is a touch snug across the knuckles, but with a thin rayon/cotton sock, it doesn't seem to be rubbing. The sole makes a tapping noise on hard floor. The toe bend part is a little stiff, but again, not too uncomfortable. I tried 7 pairs of boots, and these are definitely the winner!

Love these boots! I added my own arch supports. I usually have problems with boots hurting my bunion, but these don't hurt. The boots are very comfortable and fit my 16 inch calf just fine. I can also wear them with my skinny jeans due to the elastic in the back of the boot shaft. This is a quality boot with nice stitching and a solid feel to them. I will be purchasing in the brown also.

After much research, I finally decided to go with these boots and I couldn't be happier! They are so cute and stylish, yet waterproof and sturdy. The rich brown color is to die for! The wide calf style is perfect for my 15.5" calves with skinny jeans and boot socks. They're fitted but not too tight thanks to the gore in the back. I went up a half size from what I'd normally wear and I'm glad I did because they fit snugly around the heel area. They are quite tall in the front (I'm 5'6) and they come to just below my knee, but they're lower in the back which makes them easier to move in. I'm so happy to have found such a cute waterproof boot which will be great for wearing through the rainy Alaska winter!

I love these boots. The 'wide calf' isn't very wide though. I'm going to try wearing them around to see if they loosen up a bit. I ordered 10 different brands and styles and these were by far my favorite pair!

I have the fattest calves on the planet -- step class, dancing, running -- it's insane! And I can never find a tall boot that works. Until now. These boots are awesome. They're so awesome that I ordered a second pair after I received my black ones. Brown on their way to me!

These are good for the girl who just needs an extra inch or two in the calf area but not the ankle or width in the foot. They deliver the effortless look of slim and sleek we love. Plus they are comfortable and waterproof.

These were very nice but I could barely zip these over my 18" calf. They were advertised correctly, I had just hoped that they would fit anyway. Since they'd never work with jeans I returned them.

I love these boots, but they run big. I would order 1 size smaller. They are not water proof. They need to be sprayed, but I love them.

The boot looks great but it didn't give me the arch support that I needed. I typically buy Dansko and Naot shoes because of the arch support.

Bought the item after reading reviews. The size stated on the description listed a 17 circumference. It was not 17.

These boots fit perfectly and they look really great. I find myself grabbing them to wear often. I like the sleek look. I have had several compliments so far and I don't think you will be disappointed in them.

Love this boot! I was in search of a wide width wide calf boot in black leather and it's very difficult to find. I am 5'2", have wide feet and 16.5" calves and these are perfect! I wore them every single day for 2.5 weeks in Europe and they were so comfy & kept my toes dry! I wore them with leggings, jeans and tights; very versatile boot. If you've had a difficult time finding a great boot like I did, buy these! You will not be disappointed! Hope this helps!

By far these are the most comfortable boots that I have ever owned. I am a flight attendant and I wear them constantly, for work, and also casually. I am a little bummed that the shaft has stretched a little, so they almost are taking on a slouchy look.

Absolutely love this boot. I have a hard to fit foot, these are so comfortable, put them on right out of the box and wore all day with no problem. For me this was the perfect boot, the wide calf, waterproof, comfort etc.

These are hands down my favorite boots ever. They are soft leather and super comfortable. I've got about 10 pair (eek!) of boots but I wear these practically every day. Just enough support for my high arches, and they're nice and tall too. Just enough style to be really versatile. I got an 8.5 and there's lots of room for thick wool socks, so they might run a little big. They keep me nice and dry on long dog walks in rainy Seattle.

I have pretty wide calves and could never find boots that fit. If they did fit around my calves, they were too big in the shoe width..etc. Lots of large calf boots look... Awkward. Without being dramatic, boots are a sort of classic fashion "right of passage" for women. And I could not experience that rite. Until now. These boots took me all over Europe, miles of walking, stairs and a knee injury. Perfection. They look dressy but not too fancy. Cute with dresses, pants, leggings. One stranger freaked out about how pretty my Gucci boots were! (I laughed and said thanks...didn't want to burst her bubble!) I am buying them in the brown too.

The best boot ever! Good fit with tucked in jeans and very classy looking. Seems to give the illusion of height and slenderness to the legs.

I LOVE these boots. First off, they are just beautiful, they are a classy, expensive looking pair. I also love that I could get them in the 10.5 size. Very few manufacturers offer this size and they are great! Good, great, Wonderful purchase!
