I find these shoes very comfortable, cushiony, and fits my orthotic well. For this reason I am keeping. But the colors are terrible. I bought the lime green pair and changed to the grey laces that come with it. It makes it a bit better for wearing with work pants. For those of us who wear sneakers for jobs with standing and walking these are too bold. Aasics, please design some for work and not workout clothes. I never find black sneakers are as comfortable as white and a more conservative trim.

I purchased these as a replacement for my walking shoes, which were Brooks. I currently have Asics 19 for running, but with an insert. These are as good as the 19's, but could use an insert as well for long-term wear.

Good support, but seems smaller than other Asics shoes I have bought.

If you have Plantar Fasciitis, these shoes will feel great on your feet. But be sure to take out the insoles and add Super Feet insoles to complete the package.

I have been wearing ASICS Kayano for several years. They are always comfortable and hold up well. However, the colors offered on the 20 are a little funky - wish they offered more neutral colors.

This is the second pair of Asics that I've owned. I did a lot of research for running shoes with a good arch support. I even tried a few out at a running store. I thought this shoe would have a good arch support but it doesn't have as much as I needed it to. So I actually had to buy inserts for these. If you have runner's knee or have a high arch, this shoe by itself won't be enough support. But with that said, after I bought the inserts and put it in these bad boys, this shoe has been perfect for running. I would order these again once my current pair wears out. And these run a half size small. I'm normally a size 5 but got a 5.5 and it fits well.

After trying Brooks Glycerin, I found this Asics shoe has much better arch support (prevented my feet from turning inward while running). It is also better than the Brooks Addiction, in that it's not so stiff & doesn't make running harder than it has to be. Though it has slightly less cushioning where your foot goes, it has tons in the bottom of the shoe, which is better for an overweight runner like me. For walking, it's even better, keeping your foot perfectly straight. The wide toe box ensures my big toe or little toe doesn't get squished or rub against the outside. The mesh toe box also allows for my foot to breathe while running. The area of the shoe under the heel comes with gel, so I don't have heel pain or plantar fasciitis afterwards. I've also had no shin splits either since using these! Overall, I love it!

I really like them but didn't give me enough arch support as I thought they would. I usually don't get enough so that is pretty standard. Also, after about 7 miles of straight running the pads of my feet straight to hurt so need additional padding in the front. Overall though, I really like them.

I am a huge Asics fan. I've probably had 10 pairs of Asics previous to these. I'm sorry to say that this style is not to the 'comfortable' standards that I've enjoyed with all previous pairs. (Huge Zappos fan as well).

I am an avid walker both on the track and on the treadmill. These shoes seem more snug than my last pair of Kayanos. I probably needed a wide but I kept these anyway and just tie them more loosely. I wish Asics or Zappos would let the consumer know when the shoe is more narrow than the previous made model. I would think each model's form would remain the same, but unfortunately that is not how Asics does their manufacturing. A Kayano should be a Kayano. A Nimbus should be a Nimbus. Sure would make good business sense to me. And the consumer's buying decision much easier. Just saying!

So far the support has really helped my knee pain. Always used the cheaper gels and not good enough. Break them in before long runs.

Though these are great running shoes, I've noticed they have a number of short-cuts in the final fabrication. There's a weird gap at the top of the shoe tongue (near the toe box), that lets me see my sock. I don't currently run in the rain, but that seems like a big issue if you expect your shoes to keep your feet drier than wearing no shoes at all. There are also some other edges along the lacing that are fraying, and I've only had these shoes for a couple of weeks.

Shoe is attractive but very hot. It must be the synthetic materials used. I am more familiar with New Balance because they have narrow sizes and this is first Asics worn. Would not get again because of the uncomfortable hotness. Thought it would breathe through the fabric but doesn't. Challenging to keep tied and to keep the tongue in position. I do like the look though.

I've been buying the Gel-Kayano's for years now. My last 2 pairs were #16s. The #20 feels larger than the #16s and not quite as supportive. I'm disappointed they "improved" it. I'm going to try other shoes next time I need a pair. I use these for everything except dancing and heavy hiking.

The Gel-Kayano 20 is a good looking shoe. It is very comfortable and has nice cushion and support. I think the colors compliment each other and the darker colors don't show dirt. Please make sure you order a 1/2 size up since the shoe run short. Also order 1-2 widths down since the shoe is extra slim. I normally wear a size 7 AA in athletic shoes and the 7 1/2 B fit well. down.

I need a narrow show with decent side-to-side support for kick-boxing and other group fitness activities. This shoe is the best I have found. I would recommend it.

A very hard shoe. I buy Asics for their cushion and comfortable fit. These shoes had no cushion, Not what I expected from a pair of Asics at this price.

These shoes are well cushioned but they don't provide the stability of other shoes on the market. For the price, I think they are not a good buy. I am pleased to see more muted colors instead of the neon colors featured by so many other manufacturers.

Sending back, going with Mizuno instead. The 2nd smallest toe on my right foot was bothered by the seam in this style. The colors are vibrant and the quality of the shoe is solid, it's just not for me this time.

I ordered same shoe 11 medium in purple and toe box was more rounded. It fit my foot better. I then ordered it in black and was disappointed in the inconsistency. This pair is being returned. Zappos service is great.

I was first introduced to Kayano 18s. Those were the best athletic shoes - I still wear them often. The 18s fit like a glove out of the box. The 20s, however, have felt much more stiff and firm. I have worn the 20s several times and they still feel very rigid. Would love to exchange them for a new pair of 18s! I always prefer Asics to other brands for arch support and overall comfort. I agree that some more toned down color options would be appreciated.

I have been wearing Kayano's for a long time. I ordered the 19 and didn't like them so I ordered the 20's. I thought I liked them but I've had a lot more hip pain and I walk about 20-30 miles per week. I've had them for a couple months now and they hurt my arches so bad. I had them on a trip to Europe and had terrible aching feet after a day of walking around the city. Definitely disappointed after spending a lot of money.

I am so bummed with Asics. Why are they making the toes/forefront more and more narrow, even in the wide size? I would have loved this shoe & it would have been very comfortable had it not been too narrow in the front. Rest of the shoe was fine. I ordered a wide and at first glance I thoughI must have mistakenly been sent a narrow (not that Zappos makes mistakes like that!). But they were the correct size. I wore them around the house for a couple hours and my big toes were getting increasingly scrunched and they were also too tight across the forefront at the widest part of my foot. I wanted so much for them to work, especially since everything else was great. I still have two pairs of old Asics, same size & width, and I put these up to them. Sure enough, length was the same as was heel and instep, but the front was much much narrow. I've reordered in a size up, though I doubt that will work since the problem is not the length (and they don't offer an extra wide). I've also ordered a couple other styles to try though I see there are several reviews out there asking why Asics is doing this, so I don't have high hopes. Can't they at least keep a couple styles with the wider toebox? So frustrating... I was so happy to find Asics after New Balance changed their fits and they no longer worked for me, and now they're doing the same changing what used to be great.

Very disappointed. I've been wearing Kayano's for many years, but not anymore. These are narrower and shorter than before. I even got a wide and a full size up and the way it is cut makes it so my big toe hits no matter what. My pinky toe also hits the side. Had to return them. Also, the colors are obnoxious. The black is fine but not available in wide so it wasn't an option. Why not have subtle colors for those of us who don't want to look like neon vomit?

I bought my first pair of Asics, the Gel-Kayano 19 for serious walking about 6 months ago and loved them. They were totally comfortable from the minute I put them on. No breaking in period at all. Tried the Kayano 20 since they don't make the 19 anymore and they just didn't work. Not wide or really long enough. I'm disappointed that they changed the style from the 19 to the 20 and I'm not sure why they would mess with a good thing. Unfortunately I am going to return them.
