These were comfortable out of the box - no breaking in. They are a little wide - which is perfect for me - and could use just a bit more padding - but I am just picking. I can, and have, worn them comfortably for several mile walks. Oh, and they are cute!

Took them hiking in Texas State Parks up and down rocks. They are unbelievable, lightweight, fun, cute, supportive, just wonderful. I sized up one half size and it was perfect. I had gotten the Air Mesh version but when I discovered that this one is actually lighter, went for it. I did like them better. The black with pale blue is precious. These are now my walking, hiking shoes and super. Go for it!

I bought these shoes to wear hiking. Recently went hiking in the Smokey Mtns on wet trails and some rain. My feet were comfortable and dry. Performed great!

I have a different pair of Ahnu boots, which I love. They were comfortable right out of the box, but they ran 1/2 size small. I ordered this different style in the same size and it was too large and had a completely different fit. I returned it for 1/2 size smaller and it was too small. Too bad because I love this company and their products.

This is my first pair of this brand of shoes. I took them out of the box wore them around the house without a problem, except the other pair I bought was the same exact pair except a different color. I think these shoes can be worn all day with no issues at all. Thank heaven for great people like Zappos with their return policy. I will keep one pair and send one back. Thank you Zappos!

I love these shoes! I was not familiar with this brand but with all the great reviews, I thought I'd give it a shot. I was looking for a pair of waterproof shoes to wear playing disc golf. The hiking shoes I'd been wearing were just too stiff and got too hot. These look and feel more like sneakers, comfortable and relatively light weight. Love, love, love!

I so appreciate Zappos' lenient return policy! I was able to order several pairs of hiking shoes with no risk and ended up with the perfect pair. I own several pairs of Ahnu and love every one of them. This hiking shoe is no exception and they passed the test on a week long hiking trip in Central Oregon. I normally wear a 7.5. The 8 was just a bit short (I wear thick socks) but the 8.5 was perfect. The shoe is stylish, light-weight and has great cushioning. I give my highest recommendation to the Ahnu Sugarpine!

I love these shoes! They were immediately comfortable and I've used them on some dirty, wet hikes and they held up. AND they still looked great.

I bought these shoes for our trip to Switzerland when I saw the forecast for rain every day. I wanted waterproof shoes that were not heavy and clunky looking. I was hoping for something more fashionable, but waterproof seemed to only be available in sporty styles. These are fairly plain and lightweight, the light blue is cute without being overly athelitic looking. They are wonderfully comfortable, after I exchanged them for a half size larger than my usual size. They are cut a little high and I feel them bumping up against my ankle bone a little, but I can avoid this by adjusting the laces.

These are perfect hiking shoes for the pacific northwest. They are lightweight, very comfortable and keep my feet dry. These shoes are perfect for day trail hiking/running in the rain.

I had previously purchased the Montara and Montara II. Based on the great look, colors, and fit of those shoes/boots I purchased the Sugarpine and was not disappointed. No breaking in needed. Zappos is fantastic.

Didn't know what to expect because I've never purchased this brand before. I love the way they fit; they are so comfortable.. And I love the color, too!

Unbelievable! I never put on a pair of shoes and am able to wear them all day, without any problems. But with these shoes, I wore them all day from the very first day I got them, hiked all over Machu Picchu with them -- through mud, up steep hills, down cliffs...and they were great! I had never tried this brand before, but I will absolutely buy this brand again.

Love the Sugarpine style in gray. Use SOLE inserts, wear all day including walking on multiple surfaces. Great water proofing. Make my feet look small, dainty, good looking. My go to shoes besides Alegria.

Having had a knee replacement, I was looking for a comfortable walking shoe with good arch support. I have this brand in 2 other styles and love them all. They are wearable all day right out of the box . This shoe is very light weight, water resistant and has a nonslip sole. The wine coloring was a big plus for me.Highly recommend! I needed a 1/2 size larger in this style.

These are great shoes. they are snug around the foot, which can be good if you're actually walking trails, etc. I wore them for hours the first day and they felt great. it's also nice to have shoes that don't look like lumpy hiking shoes in muddy colors. I'm very happy with these.

I'd never heard of Ahnu and have major feet problems. WOW lightweight great walking shoe, looks nice, easy to clean. I do use Sole inserts instead of my custom made ones. Will stick with this brand & Algeria's.

Super comfortable shoe! Wore them for a full 12 hours the first day and they just get more comfortable as they get broken in. My second pair of Ahnus and I will definitely keep an eye out for more from this brand. I ordered a half size up from my other pair of Ahnus (Jackie) and the fit is great...the company website even recommends ordering up a half. I often need to buy wide shoes and worried that these would be tight but they are not. One note on the color...I got winetasting and they are not as red as they appear in some pictures...more of a purplish burgundy. Very cute!

Loved this shoe. Looks great and is very supportive. The fit is fine for flat surfaces but a tad too short for downhill hiking. Sadly I am returning. I wear an 11 and there are no larger sizes

Slip Sliding Away! I bought these for a recent trip to Ireland. Thankfully we only had a small bit of rain during our trip...I fear for my body if we had more! These shoe are NOT slip resistant! I was walking down a grassy hill and both feet slipped right out from underneath me and I landed right on my hip. I had noticed earlier that on the pavement they were slippery, but I didn't think much of it. Mind you this is after I walked 5 miles a day in them for for 5 days..so I would have guessed they also were scuffed on the bottom I am SO disappointed! I was hoping these would be my rainy weather shoe, but now I can only wear them in the sunshine. I do suffer from Morton's Neuroma and had zero pain with these shoes, and zero break in time. So in that aspect they were perfect. I wish I could return them as they were an expensive shoe to not provide me with what they promise in the description.

Seems like a very good low top hiking shoe. I sized up half a size and that fit well. Probably would have kept it, but I also ordered the Ahnu Calaveras, and that was more comfortable and a sleeker style.

I had an older version of these I loved, but this pair slips at the heel. I will look at Ahnu other styles since they make a quality product. Thank you Zappos for making shopping so easy.
