As a tall plus size woman in her mid 30's who walks a lot (minimum 5-7 miles per day) in New York and Boston. I have started to develop some shoe and foot and back problems from walking in the wrong shoes once or twice (or 100+ times too often...) So I have finally decided it is high time to do a massive overhaul of my shoe wardrobe - throw away anything that is worn out, hurts my feet, or in the wrong size and start over. This is where Zappos and Cobb Hill come in. I had never heard of this brand before, but when I started looking for shoes in a 9½W based on customer reviews Cobb Hill kept coming up. So I ordered pretty much the entire line (with the full intention to return most of them...) These boots are far and away the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn. As we are currently buried in about 4 feet of snow with more on the way, I have not had a chance to take them outside yet, but what I can say is that I have kept them on inside my all hard wood apartment to keep testing them out for several hours at a time every day over the past week and I literally forget they are on my feet. They are so supportive and comfortable and warm. Though I always steer away from heels for city walking after too many emergency stops at the nearest Payless (yuck) to grab anything that could get me back to the train station, these boots have proven to be more supportive and comfortable than flats. I kept coming back to the Alexandra after trying on the Samantha (slightly too narrow in the toe box for me :( .), the Sienna (slightly too high of a heel for me), and I am still waiting for the Shannon. But the fact that these are the boots that I keep gravitating towards and comparing everything else to is proof enough that these are them. As a skier, there is a saying: "Date your skis, Marry your boots"... I think I am ready to propose. :) .

Love these boots. Have 2 pair. Comfortable from day one. Go from snowy commute to work day with ease. No need to change. I have wide feet and high arches and many times the shoebox fits better than the shoe! Not with these. Will continue to shop this brand.

These boots are quite stylish and were exactly what I wanted style-wise. However, despite being a wide width they were too tight over my high instep, so I sent them back. The angled heel is cute but there just wasn't isn't enough of a heel there for me to balance on. I was teetering just walking across the room. If you routinely wear stilettos this may not bother you, but I need a heel that supports my balance.

After finding nothing comfortable for my feet at numerous stores I decided to check out Zappos. This boot absolutely fit the bill. I have a wide foot with a high arch. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis and have a bunion. They were comfortable from day 1.

These shoes made me happy as soon as I opened the box and saw how cute they are and slipped them on and felt how comfortable they are - they are that rare combination of cuteness and comfort that I had a really hard time finding. AND they are dressy, so perfect for the recent, winter interviews I've been having. I have narrow feet and the 9N fits really well, just a little wide in the heel and ankle but they are still SUPER comfortable as soon as you put them on. The heel does not feel tall or unstable, and I am very sensitive to this as I prefer flats, but the heel gives it that dressier touch which is why I chose these shoes to wear to interviews (in the cold with outdoor walking) but they combine very nicely with dressy slacks and skirts and dresses. I've put them to the test and walked a lot in them, on wet, icy, snowy street and they are warm and stable and as cooshy and comfortable as slippers. I find I am choosing to wear these over my other boots now because these are the best for when you actually have to walk or be on your feet a lot.

One of the first dress boots I have ever worn right out of the box without comfort issues! The heel cupped well so no slippage with either tights or socks. Of course my one foot is wider but the leather was forgiving and only took a few hours to relax. The style is good. However one other reviewer stated looked like socks scrunched in a dress shoe. I would agree but I bought black so not as prominent. One other reviewer stated the heel was small and felt like teetering on the boots. I disagree. However I would like more height. Yet they look good with dresses. Summary is so far all worth the cost and very happy!

I love these boots! I'm difficult to fit being a size 11N. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. No break-in period, they felt great from the first day. They look so cute with skinny jeans and I've had numerous compliments on them.

LOVE these booties. Super cute and versatile -- can be paired with jeans, pants, dresses, etc. -- and SO comfortable. Didn't break them in before taking them overseas on a trip -- first time I wore them I walked miles on cobblestone sidewalks, and I had ZERO pain afterward. The hype is real -- these are astonishingly comfortable heeled booties. I'm an 8.5 (9 in sneakers) with narrower feet, moderate arches, and slim ankles. I got these in 8.5M and they're perfect. No slippage, my ankles aren't swimming in the shaft, and I can comfortably wear tights or thicker socks. Love, love, love these!

I love these boots! They are the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn. I am usually a 9W but in boots I seem to need 9½W. I got the 9½W and am very happy. I have a high instep and the arch placement is pretty good. I wore them all day without any problem and they seem pretty good on icy patches. I have worn them with thin socks and wool socks and did not really notice a difference.My toes were fine even with the wool socks, so I would say that the toe area is roomy. I might have been able to wear a 9W, but I did not try one. My other comfortable boots are David Tates, but these Cobb Hills are even more comfortable, with better cushion and arch support. The color blends well and looks good with jeans. They probably need leather protection, but I have not done that yet. It is so hard to find comfortable boots that look nice. These are well worth the money! I am tired of saving money and having sore, aching feet.

I agree with all those who rave about the comfort of these boots! I bought a pair last year and came back for another pair in a different color. I am on my feet all day as a teacher, and really look forward to putting these on in the morning, knowing that my feet will be comfortable all day long. I often feel like I am between and 8 1/2 and 9 in shoes, but the 8 1/2 in this boot fits perfectly. I am used to wearing flats, but the small heel on this boot does not diminish its comfort. I didn't experience any "tottering." This cute boot pairs equally well with professional pants and jeans. I'm so glad I found these!

I got these for my mother. They are very stylish and she loves them a lot. The leather is soft and the top opening is perfect for her (she has a wide ankle/shin). They do well in the snow and she wore them for a whole day in the cold without any problems.

Man I really wanted these to work! But on what planet would the 9W that I ordered actually fit a 9W? Too short and narrow. Going back.

These boots are so comfortable and look fantastic. I wore them walking all over the city for New Year’s Eve, and my feet were happy! Perfect for going out!

These are so comfortable. I wear a 10N and sometimes it's difficult to find boots that fit and are comfortable. These check both boxes.

I love these shoes. They are comfortable right out of the box. I love that they have a low heel and rubber sole and are easy to walk in. I also love being able to find stylish shoes in a wide width. The heel and ankle portion of the shoes are a tiny bit wide on me but I do not mind because that leaves room to tuck my jeans or leggings in. I like these so much I think I might get them in red too.

Since I have other Rockports in size 10 AND I did the little sizing bit (my size in other brands for a similar shoe), I was confident the size 10 I ordered would be as awesome as the other shoes from this company I already own. Nope. I really think the size was mis-marked. It fit like a 9 and seemed narrow as well, although that could be simply from being too small. Going back. I'd happily try an 11 if they had it in stock...really love the look and generally love this brand. The picture shows a comparison of a size 10 of another Rockport Cobb Hill shoe, matched heel to heel, with length compared at the toe.

I love these boots. This is the third pair I’ve purchased. The first pair I bought was a khaki color. I loved them, so I bought a black pair about a year and a half ago. I wear the black boots at least three times a week. Thought I’d better get a second pair of black while they still make them. I am going to be incredibly sad when these all wear out if I am not able to replace them. This is the best style, best fit, most complimented pair of boots I’ve ever owned. I can’t say enough.

These boots look good and feel comfortable. The heel and the slimness of the boot lends a more dressy look. Great with skirts, leggings, jeans or slacks. I have high arches and usually wear inserts for arch support but I don’t think it will be necessary with these. There is plenty of cushion in the insole. I typically wear a very low block heel for stability or no heel. The little heel on this boot is cute and minimal. It seems stable enough for me. I probably wouldn’t wear these to walk my dog or grocery shop, but should be great for date night or church.

These fit perfectly. The heel is slightly loose but I have an extra narrow heel. I can stand in these for hours in a day without discomfort. The arc support is great too. I have a narrow foot so when I find a shoe that fits that I like how it looks and can wear all day for work, I'm very happy!

I love these boots! Super comfortable for my wide feet. They are stylish and look adorable with everything. I can and have walked for miles and chased after small children in these and it feels like I'm walking on clouds. The blue/teal is a very teal green color -- much more green than I expected. That was my only complaint. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat! Worth every penny.

I purchased this boot immediately prior to vacationing in NYC. I wore this boot on sightseeing, touring museums, and dining out. It did not need any breaking in! It was amazing. I have big wide feet and the 11 W fit me perfectly. It is almost impossible for me to find a comfortable shoe or boot and I get along with limited shoe ware for this reason. The black is stylish and has a comfortable softness that makes you feel good the first time you put them on and the feeling lasts the whole day. Highly recommended. If only the other colors came in my size! I would buy every color.

Thanks you Zappos for continuing to carry cute and comfortable footwear in narrow widths. These booties fit perfectly and felt heavenly from minute one of putting them on. I have been wearing them, or I should say one of them, all day for the past three days, as my right foot is in an orthopedic "boot" while a broken toe joint heals. The bootie has just the right matching heel height and has to be worn from morning until bedtime, a lot to ask of a new shoe. This one has been a joy. Just a note: the color looks closer to hunter green than teal/blue.

This boot, like my last Cobb Hill purchase is a beautiful soft leather. I originally ordered a 11M, but returned it for a 11N which fit perfectly. My feet are long and thin, however, this is the first narrow I have bought in many years. It fit perfectly. I love the heel height. I tend to having plantar fasciitis and the heel act as perfect arches.
