I really thought these would work but now after trying for two weeks, I can't tolerate the rubbing on my big toe. These shoes are very stiff and unforgiving and a little tight across the ball of the foot. They also tilt oddly inward toward the front. Sure wish I had heeded other reviews!

I absolutely love the fit and comfort of the Opal Glitter shoes that I received so quickly. However, I am regretfully returning them because they are not "Opal Glitter Leather" as noted, but rather "Opal Glitter Material." I cannot justify spending so much on shoes that can rip. I will purchase them in leather.

Bought expecting terrific arch support. Compared to Dansko sandals I own, the arch support doesn't compare. Notice the curve of the shoe in the toe box area. Takes up valuable space and makes shoes tight if I use my orthotics.

I need a pair of shoes for work that fit my orthotics and high arches. These were the closest I could come to the Dansko Mary Janes I had before that I wore to death. They are comfortable and they look nice but the Velcro is terrible. I routinely have the Velcro come undone when I am walking or getting into the car. It is the only con I have, but it is a major one - who wants to have shoes that start coming off when you are walking? This could be just a problem pair, I have not tried to get them fixed or replaced.

I ended up returning these. They seem like nice shoes, but didn't work for my crazy duck feet (very flat, very wide, narrow heel). For me, they were too tight across the widest part of my foot but gappy at the heel.

I love the style and comfort of the Opal, but the Velcro strap has to go or be greatly improved! I continuously slip out of the shoe while walking due to the Velcro coming apart! I live in Chicago...snow and ice have made this shoe a walking hazard. Dansko should fix this problem ASAP!

Cute, cute, cute. Love the color - a nice rich red/brown. It would go with black, brown or navy. But it doesn't fit! Too tight in the toe - feels short and narrow at the toe box. Great cushioning in the footbed tho. It does not have the usual toe room I am looking for from Dansko. Plus, this material will not hold up. I tried them on once, and noticed a crack in the material (real leather?) where the strap meets the shoe. They do not look like leather and this crack makes me wonder. Still - if they fit you they are cute and will go with anything. For me - they are going back.

I have worn Danskos for 20 years and I love them. But this pair is going back. The shoe is very narrow. And since the toe box is short on height (unusual for Dansko) it presses down on my big toe. Even if they stretch, that issue will never go away.

Beautiful shoe, but not right for me. I overpronate and have flat feet, so I must wear custom orthotics, and these shoes were too tight right from the start. I even tried them without the orthotics, and it was just a strange fit that was too tight all the way around. Too narrow, too tight, not right, and already returned. Never have been a big Dansko fan, as I prefer the roominess of Alegria, but these are very pretty and I really wanted to become a fan.

DO NOT GO WITH DANSKO these shoes are not what they are cracked up to be, they are absolutely NOT the best nursing shoes out there, and I am a nurse! I should know! I gave these shoes plenty of time to "break-in" and get used too, no go, I do not have any injuries or any weird thing wrong with my feet, I have perfectly normal feet, these shoes are painful. DO NOT GO WITH DANSKO. I went back to running shoes, try Shoe Advisor | Runner's World & Running Times or How to Choose Running Shoes | Road Runner Sports then get your tennis shoes / running shoes, forget all of the "the best nursing shoe" claims, dansko and all of the others similar to Dansko are painful and cause injury.

This is the end of Danskos for me. I kept trying several different styles, wanting the comfort that folks talk about with Danskos, but believe these reviews. The 43 does not fit US size 12½-13. I am a true 12 in everything else that I have worn, and the size 43 was way too small. My toes were completely crunched. Why do they say 12½-13? That is a mystery. And I do not think they go any larger.

Ever since Dansko severed their ties with the mother company, Sanita, a few years back, they have been scrambling to find their, or maybe I should say "emulate", what they had. So far it has been disappointing, so I have been buying Sanita's and they are amazing. After all, they are the real "Dansko" Look it up and see for yourselves.

If I am going to pay this much for a pair of shoes, they should have a better fastening system than Velcro and have some cushioning and support to it. The shoes are beautiful, but not anything better than you can find at Payless as far as comfort and support goes. This is ridiculous. I am sending them back.

I really wanted to love these. Unfortunately the strap would not stay buckled and flopped around. So back they went.
