This is the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned! I have had a knee surgery and am having to transition away from heels. These are stylish as well as supportive. I debated ordering them because they are so expensive but they are worth every penny! If you are on the fence about them, go for it!

I purchased these shoes mainly because the Black Cherry color goes perfectly with a dress I bought to wear to my son's wedding. They only come in European sizes so I wasn't sure they would fit my narrow foot. The toe box was too big (which I expected) but when I added a ball of foot cushion, it filled it out so that they fit better and are quite comfortable. I like the strap around the ankle which also helps the shoe fit me better. I can wear these shoes all day and they are very comfortable. The color looks great with black slacks or blue jeans. I am happy with these shoes.

This is a fantastic shoe, but even better was Zappos service! The shoes were a Christmas present, but they were the wrong size. Zappos immediately sent me a call tag to return that pair & told me I would receive the right size the very next day...and I did! Even before the wrong size made it back to Zappos, they had sent me a new pair! I am so sorry I do not remember the service rep's name, he was the most knowledgeable, polite, efficient rep I have ever spoken with. The process was a breeze, and I've been telling everyone to try Zappos!

I love this new style Dansko. Same great feel but flats. I liked them so much that I ordered another pair in a different color.

I saw these shoes in a local store and tried them on -- super comfortable! But I have to admit, I dismissed them on looks alone. For reference, they were the black nappa style, which to me, scream orthopedic. When I got home, however, I looked up the Opal on Zappos and fell in love with the black cherry patent. On a whim, I ordered, and what a delightful decision! For some reason, this shoe in the patent really fits my style more. Although the fit is snug (I'm usually a 38 in Dankso and wear the clogs at work all day), these shoes are still comfy. No pinching or unusual tenderness. I'd say, give these shoes a try. They have excellent arch support for a flat shoe, which is hard to find, and the cherry black patent looks surprisingly great with many colors. They also look sweetly quirky with skinny jeans.

This pair of casual shoes is ven lovelier in person than on the website. They fit true to size, were very lightweight, and felt secure on my feet. I have feet of regular width, but imagine this would work also for those with somewhat wider feet. I plan to wear these with jeans, day dresses, and skirts. In fact, the bronze color gives them an unexpected polish above regular clogs and mary janes. Gotten on sale though--not sure why they're so expensive.

These shoes are super cute. I get compliments on them all of the time. They are true to size and take a few wearings to begin to feel comfortable. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that they have absolutely no traction. I slipped and fell on ice while wearing them! Lesson learned!

These are so cute. Deep, deep red. They are pretty comfortable and supportive. I have them in the dark red, and in the "glitter" black leather. They fit "proper" in my regular size, but, since I wanted them for travel, and my feet are wide, and can swell, I got them a size larger. Love them both.

I love these shoes. My foot doc loves these shoes! I'm having foot issues, and I wanted something that didn't look like Granny shoes, but had to give me support of Grannies shoes. Thankfully they worked! So we'll that I just ordered a 2nd pair as my feet are 12's, and hard to find. Break in was a little longer than my clogs, but not an issue. The leather is top quality, and beautiful. I've had several compliments. Zappos is incredible! They know how to do it! Thank you!

I wore Dansko shoes years ago and they always felt too loose - they were comfortable, but I was constantly worried that I would twist my ankle. I am glad that I gave Dansko another try - the Opals fit my feet like a glove and are very comfortable (I have real issues with pain in my heels, but that practically disappears with these shoes). They are also extremely cute. I primarily wear them with slacks to work, but they would look adorable with a dress or skirt, too. I hope Dankso makes these shoes for a long time!

These are one of the most comfortable Danskos I have owned. The shoes are very lightweight. Wore them right out the box without any need for breaking in. I am on my feet most of the day so comfort is very important. I wear a 7 1/2 to 8 normally and size 38 was perfect. They look great with skirts and pants! I may need to purchase the red pair as well!

I wear a size 12 in most shoes and was always upset that Danskos didn't fit me. THEN, they started making the 12.5/13 and voila! These shoes are terrific. They didn't have to be worn in and are BEYOND comfortable. I wish that Dansko offered their original mary janes in the 12.5/13 - but, these work too!

I live in NYC and needed a smart looking shoe to walk to and from trains and office. This a stylish Mary Jane with a good sole. I have received many random compliments on train platform from other working ladies especially on the patent black cherry (finally a dressy non black shoe). The only issue with the shoe is the back rise is stiff and rubbed on my heel for a couple of weeks until it softened.

The search is over! I have been looking for a shoe I could wear to work but could handle the walking my bus commute to work downtown requires. Unfortunately, most shoes that are comfortable all day make you look like you're a grandma. These are comfy and oh so cute. I'm so excited! My feet will be happy but I'll still look stylish and hip at work. The deep cherry red "ruby slippers" as another review called them are a dream come true. Goes great with all your winter blacks and grays with a little splash of panache. And I ordered them yesterday afternoon and Zappos had them here at 10 a.m. this morning. Amazing!

Excellent shoes! I was skeptical about Dansko for whatever reason but I'm so glad I gave these a shot. Light and exceptionally comfortable, these have become my everyday shoes. I am considering getting them in a second color.

I had given up on Danskos after they moved their manufacturing. I guess they changed their lasts because new pairs of my old standbys didn't fit anymore. But after reading so many great reviews of the Opal, I decided to give them a shot and they are wonderful. If you have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel, try these. I have literally ordered and returned 13 pairs of mary janes before finding these. Comfortable, stylish and great with dresses, skirts, or pants.

Love these shoes. They look great with skirt and tights, or with legging or pants. Best of all, they are comfortable for all day wear. Dansko did not disappoint me at all with theses shoes.

Oh my goodness and these shoes far exceeded my expectations. They are absolutely adorable and comfortable! I have received so many compliments on these shoes. Plus I love the Dansko brand - I'll be back to purchase more for sure!

I have just recently started wearing Dansko shoes, and they are absolutely the best fit and comfort I have ever had. The Opal style is lighter and a little less like a true clog, but it has the same feel on the sole, is light and flexible, and has great support. I definitely recommend the Black Cherry patent, what girl doesn't need a least one pair of Ruby Slippers? Zappos is the only place I will shop for shoes from now on, customer service is world-class!

These Dansko shoes are not hard like the regular Dansko shoes. They are VERY comfortable with NO break in time at all! I must say they do run 1/2 a size short. I wear a 8 all the time and I had to get an 8.5-9 and they fir great. Love, love, love them!

I bought the shoes for my daughter. It was hard to find her size, so I ordered five pair and sent them all back and then finally got these. It was so easy and fun. Now we can just order the shoes when we need them. The returns were easy and the company is fantastic. I will order from this company again.

Comfortable shoes. Ordered them in black and black cherry to see which I liked better. Liked them both. Black Cherry very cute, except I am personally not a big fan of patent leather, wish they weren't so shiny. Also wanted to wear them with socks, and doesn't look right with the Black Cherry color. They would look super cute without socks.

Very nice. Feels pretty good, I like the shape of it, the way it looks on, very much, highly recommend, incl. true to size. I take a 7 1/2 (European size 38), ordered it in 38, fits great.

I am very happy with this shoes. I was worried they would look too "old" for me, but they are stylish and comfortable. I usually deal with squished toes in shoes, but that's not the case with these. They are comfortable and I have no complaints!

I absolutely love these shoes! They are cute, look good with just about any outfit (jeans, skirts, slacks), are durable and comfortable. These were my go to shoes for a recent vacation in Europe when the other shoes that I brought gave me blisters. They are my new favorite pair of shoes.
