These Mary Janes have good arch support and have a less bulky profile than similar styles. My only complaint is that the heel is more narrow than the rest of the shoe, which has caused me to ever so slightly roll my ankle a few times. If you have any balance issues, I would not recommend these. They are also a little "River dance-y" looking, but still cute. I do not like the clunky look of so many Mary Janes, so these fit the bill.

Really cute but a little to high on my ankle as the shoe is stiff it hurts. The size is typical European size, runs a little short.

I have very difficult feet (utterly flat, bunions, nerve damage at the base of the toes) and a whole wardrobe of Dankos, and the Opal is the most comfortable pair I've had yet. They fit perfectly, and the strap provides some adjustability. They look a little slimmer, not quite as clunky looking as my other Danskos, and I'm going to wear them with my dresses (my days of wearing heels are done, unfortunately). The toe has a nice tapered look, but it still allows plenty of room for my toes without scrunching them. If they had a little more padding at the ball of the feet, they'd be perfect. I expect I'll get more pairs in other colors, because I really am happy with them.

I absolutely love these shoes. Things I like include low heel, much more feminine looking than other clunky Danskos, and I feel feminine and light on my feet in these shoes. My only wish is that they would come in a variety of other colors like white/off white for summer (as I still need supportive shoes in summer), some kind of brown or taupe or maybe even red.

Love these shoes. Had the black patent and loved them so much I came back to get the red. I only wear very comfortable shoes and found these to be perfect. Good quality and they're wearing very well.

Best Dansko shoe ever! I have worn the Dansko professional clogs for years - this shoe is way cuter, much cuter than the picture, and more comfortable than the clogs! I put them on as soon as they arrived and wore them to work for 10 hours - came home and walked the dog with the shoes on - never wanted to take them off. Cute with slacks and jeans and skirts. Love them!

I'm in my 30s, normal weight, normal feet, lawyer. I prefer dressing professional-comfy. Ready for court appearances or a day writing in the office. These fit the bill. So what that they aren't super sexy? Make them sexy with leg warmers and your confidence. Have you ever seen a man in a suit walking down the street with a wincing young woman in a suit and trendy high heels? And all you can think is, "Gosh, I bet she's wishing her boss had not unexpectedly invited her to that meeting down the street right about now." Don't let your skewed sense of "women's business dress" hold you back! These shoes will get you there and they are professional. Your boss will be thinking of your great ideas, and not your wincing waddle.

The best shoes from Dansko, comfortable and stylish with skirts and sweater dresses. Great with pants too! True to size if you wear trouser socks or tights.

Love these shoes...so comfortable right out of the box! I have proximal tibiafibular leg problem and these shoes have saved my day! I can walk normal in these shoes. I have worn them every day all day since I got them. Can't say enough about the support and comfort...looks, too! Thanks Dansko.

I am a flight attendant and these are the most comfortable shoes I have worn. Worth the money. And great service.

Wore them all day first time out. So comfortable. I'm thrilled. I'm a size 40 with narrow heels, flat arch and wider toe box. Prefer this softer sole and insole and the opportunity to switch to my orthotic if I need to. My arch felt great at the end of the day. I work on carpeting mostly. The fit is great and I adore the black cherry patent. So pretty despite being a Dansko.

Gorgeous shoe but not wide enough. Severe pain in toe box for me. I really wanted it to fit because I LOVE the way it looks!

This shoe runs a little small, according to the sizing chart. I wear a 7.5 or 8 in US sizing, which should have translated to a 38. The 38 was just a little small so I reordered in a 39, which is a little big, but I will keep since better a little large than small and I can wear inserts and arch supports in it. The color is very nice, as it will go with black, beige, or gray pants. The patent makes it a little dressier than a flat leather color. I haven't worn this much yet as it is still summer, but it feels very comfortable. Sleeker than Dansko clogs, could be worn with a casual skirt and dark hose, but probably not with a nice suit or dress.

I've had these for a few months and I love them. They fit perfectly and look great with work clothes or jeans!

The first pair of these I received were defective, the right strap would often pop off. The replacement pair is fine, and I enjoy wearing them all day, every day. I have knee pain, and these have noticeably improved my comfort on stairs.

I bought these for my daughter who was having foot trouble and pressure partly due to wearing footwear that did not have adequate support. I gave her these shoes and that's all she wears to work, running around the hospital putting out fires. Dansko is the best!

This is a shoe I love so much I reordered just to have a 2nd pair. They are dressy, have great support, look great even with casual pants or with a skirt or dress. Highly recommend these shoes.

I love this shoe. It's very comfortable and looks professional enough for me to wear at the office. It's a bit more streamlined than other Dansko styles, so it even works with skirts. The sole is stiffer than the average shoe, but more flexible than Dansko clogs. I find it strikes the right balance of stiffness and flexibility. I was in between sizes but opted for one size up (43) and I'm very glad I did. I can wear these with socks or barefoot, equally comfortably.

I have these in the black cherry patent. Oh my gosh, I love, love them. Saving my money to buy the black patent pair. I have a lot of Dansko shoes and I love them all. These are absolutely beautiful. Plus, ordering them from Zappos is the greatest.

I absolutely love this shoe and have gotten compliments on it every single time I've worn them. They are comfortable from day one! Plenty of room in the toe box and very comfortable insole. I'm a flight attendant & wear these shoes throughout my 14+ hour flights. Love them!

This shoe is comfortable and stylish. I work as a physical therapist and we are lunging, squatting, walking, etc all day. My feet feel fine at the end of a work day and are well supported in this shoe. The first day I wrote them I received 2 compliments! I prefer to wear them with a ballet flat sock liner, so you see the top of my foot but my foot does not get sweaty or blister at all. Love these shoes!

I use almost exclusively Dansko shoes for foot wear. They have been excellent shoes with great orthopedic value. Since I'm on my feet at least 8 hours a day (and up to 16!) it's important to have a shoe that fits well and can be comfortable at the end of the day. The biggest problem with Dansko shoes has been their style or lack thereof. As an educator, I want to be more stylish but pumps and other more fashionable shoes are an impossible when you have to be on the move all day. These shoes have been a godsend. They have great arch support (I tend to get tendonitis immediately when wearing flat shoes) and have an adjustable strap so that it doesn't have to be pushing on the top of your foot which is great. That said, they are fitted well enough that they would stay on even without the strap. For me the true test is that I don't even notice my feet at all since wearing them. It's like I'm walking on air. My feet run narrow in a true 12 and these fit great, not too snug so I think they would work for a medium as well.

I have this shoe in every color. It's perfect for me, a small heel to look dressy yet flat enough that my feet don't hate me when I stand for long periods of time. You can't do any better than the service at Zappos.com...love this place.

Such a great Mary-Jane style, and extremely comfortable. I wish the toes were a smidge wider, but overall it is extremely comfortable, and not too old-ladyish. Looking forward to wearing them with capri pants at work this summer.
