I absolutely love these boots. They felt good from the first time I put them on and are just getting better. I can wear these morning to night, so comfy. My new fave boots!

These are beautiful, well made boots, and I fell in love with them. Unfortunately I had to return them because my usual size 8 was just too big in length and width. The 7½ that I need has not been in stock, so I am disappointed. I would recommend these boots to anybody. They are well worth the price. They look stunning on (I bought the black and brown multi) and work well with my 13½" calfs. The inside zipper makes them easy to get off and on and to get over jeans or leggings. They are an investment, but well worth it. I wish I could get more in other colors! But living in Florisa where we get cold weather rarely, I am sure that these will last for decades and not go out of style!

I have wanted Frye boots since I was eighteen but could never afford them, I still can't but rationalized a bunch and bought them. I got the burnt red and I love them! They are a bit more orange than red but beautiful. I think they run true to size because I'm really a 10.5 and since no such animal exists with Frye I had to order an 11. I have really narrow ankles and I think rather strong calves, but they fit comfortably around my calves. The construction is really nice and the leather is soft. My feet felt really sloppy in them but I knew that the next size down would be too small so I decided to get a heel guard and maybe put in insoles. I did all that and wore them out for the day. That poor decision on my part found me pulling the heel guards out in the ladies room at the Mall trying to stop the blisters. I was devastated to have spent so much money and not have boots I could just comfortably wear! Then I decided to try a pair of socks, yup, good old socks did the trick. I wore them all day yesterday and they were as comfy as an old friend. I love the look and I've gotten a ton of compliments on them. I will probably never be able to convince myself to spend this much money again on a pair of boots, but I'm glad I did. They will be boots I will wear and love forever!

I tried these on this weekend and am now literally drooling for a pair. I wasn't able to find the two tone that I want (Eventually will just order them) but I tried on the Redwood Vintage color; and good grief it was beautiful. I am a 6.5-7 with a 12.5in calf so I was super concerned about calf fit. I am also 5'1.5" so I was also worried about where it would hit near my knee as I wanted them to come up as high as possibly comfortable. The calf fit was perfect...the zipper is awesome...they seemed to look like a perfect fit. I tried on the 6.5 and loved how they felt. I only had them on for 5-10 minutes so I can't comment on long term comfort but I can only imagine with the amazing quality that they are great. I tried on other boots, not a vast quantity but looked at enough to truly feel like buying Frye boots is completely worth the expense. The leather and craftsmanship is unmatched. I am obsessed and I don't even have them yet. Getting the two toned as I can't imagine a more beautiful boot. Now I just need a cute wardrobe to match!

Awesome boots. Great fit, great style, just enough attitude. I'm a boot girl, wearing boots nearly every day in the winter. I wanted a boot that would be comfortable if I was in NYC for the day, or if I was working in Connecticut. These crossover, and are subdued but have just enough style to not be boring old riding boots. They were comfy out of the box. Fit leggings just fine, would probably have a tough time tucking in anything thicker than jeggings or leggings. Streamlined but durable. My first pair of Fryes, and I'm hooked.

These are beautiful boots. The leather is of exceptional quality. They are a little snug in the ankle where the buckle hits and the toe box. I'm sure with continued wear they will be fine.

Wow. Beautiful leather, soft. Beautiful style. It's like fine Italian leather - yes, expensive but if you are looking for quality, this is it. Only complaint is the zipper is just a little stiff. Also, I have pretty small calves for being 6'0" and these just fit with maybe a finger width of space.

Love these boots! Nice color, good quality. I have athletic calves and the opening is comfortable for me.

I must have ordered 10 pairs of boots online and tried on another 10 in stores before I found these gems. Yeah, they were an investment and broke my bank, but the quality was untouched by any of the other boots so I know I'll get my money's worth. The leather is super thick, zipper durable, soles are super sturdy, and I have no doubt that the leather won't separate from the soles like other boots do so easily. I'm not afraid to run through a field or tromp through a city puddle in these (unlike some of the less expensive and lighter weight boots I tried). The fit is a little snug, leather fairly stiff, and the sole is rigid, but after wearing them for a week, they're softening right up and forming to my legs and feet (the first three days were rough, lemme tell you!). I hear that it can take a year for Frye boots to fully break in, and I sure hope it won't be that long, but we're off to a great start! Love these, well worth the money.

This is a beautiful boot. It arrived however without the orginial inside packaging, just some tissue paper inside the box. In addition, the right boot had crease marks across the toe part of the boot making it look like it had been worn. Way to much money to spend for something to arrive in this shape.

Elegant and beautiful boot - exactly what I wanted (I shopped for over a year for the perfect riding boot). I have large calves (a little bit over 15") so I have trouble finding the right fit. I tried the extended version of this boot but it just didn't fit right. I was pleased to find that I was able to zip up the regular fit and I can walk around in the boot with no discomfort/pain. The color of this boot (Redwood) is rich and a nice change from the standard black. Love it!

Beautiful, high quality leather, nice support, comfortable from day 1, true to size. I love these boots and started wearing them almost every day. The calf area is roomy and they fit over jeans even with my slightly athletic calves. There is no padding around the sides of the heel area and I have somewhat narrow heels so I slip around and get blisters if I don't wear thick socks.

I have now tried 6-7 styles from Frye in a tall black boot, and this one won! Beautiful leather. Perfect Frye fit! Excellent quality.

I bought these for my wife for Christmas so she could work the yoga pants and boots look. I really do not pay much attention but I quickly became a fan of the look. She absolutely loves the boots, they fit well and she says they are comfortable.

Beautiful shoe, very well constructed, high quality leather. Unfortunately, they seem to have changed how they construct the footbed on the Melissa boots. These were excruciating for me to wear. My feet hurt within 5 minutes of walking in them. The only thing I can compare it too is the feeling of wearing cheap high heels for several hours. The soles of my feet hurt. Maybe they will work better for other people though. I was sad to return them, because they were absolutely gorgeous.

These boots are beautiful. I got them in the Dark Brown Vintage, and they are such a rich brown. Unlike my other Frye boots, these actually fit true to size (the others are large). They are very comfortable now, but took some breaking in. I had a few blisters on my heel (carry some Bandaids!), but after a week of wearing, they were perfect! Also, I have skinny calves, and these are wide for me, but because of the asymmetrical top, they still look super cute!

Really nice boots, comfortable and the look I wanted. I have had lots of compliments each time I wear them. I was afraid they would be too tall, as I have short legs after reading the other reviews...but they fit perfectly. Love them! I have narrow feet so I put a liner in the bottom and it took up the extra width.

I absolutely love these boots! They look good with any outfit whether I want to dress them up or down. A little stiff and hard to break in, but be patient and know that soon your feet will be happy! I am 5'9" and love the height of the boot. Definitely recommend.

I just received these beautiful boots. I was resisting spending the extra money for a Frye boot, but I am so glad I did. I have very thin calves and usually send boots back because my legs swim in them. The circumference is a bit smaller on these and the shaft is nice and long. I love them and know that they will be my go to boot for many years.

I hesitated to order this brand because I always think of Frye as something worn by teenagers. I finally tried them and they are definitely adult friendly in style and comfort. I ordered this style in regular and extended calf sizes. The regular is snug but will work on my 14.5 inch calves with skinny jeans. Most brands are very tight. The extended size are very roomy which appears to be the look I see on many people. They would have worked except the lining of the boot is light and shows at the gap. I am keeping a pair of the regular and returning the extended. This is my first try with Frye so hopefully they will last as suggested by others. They are pricey but appear to be good quality leather an construction.

These are simply the best boots ever. They are works of art. The side zip allows leg crossing without tearing your stockings (back zip causes this type of problem). The leather is thick and heavy and has just the right amount of shine. You can wear dresses and skirts all year long because your lower leg and foot are so well protected. Wear them under or over jeans or slacks. They open up your wardrobe because they keep you warm, the low heel allows you to go and do anything, but the boots are so elegant that you do not notice that you are in flat shoes. On a cold night, throw on a sheath or a tank dress and these boots and you are good to go. Tights, socks, or bare feet, you will love to be in these boots.

The best boot and very comfortable. I can see this is a wise investment and I will get my money's worth out of it.

I absolutely LOVE these boots. They are a classic - and very comfortable. I could consider them to be a medium calf width. Perfect with tights and a dress or skirt, yet roomy enough to go over skinny jeans. And Frye's are built to last! This is my second pair.

I love the style of this boot and the color. It is definitely high quality leather and craftsmanship. I think it is worth the price because these boots if treated properly and not worn in snow, ice or rain will last at least a decade maybe more and in a world where everything we buy seems to break or rip after 10-20 uses or a few months that is really saying something! I am usually a size 7-8 but the 8.5 fit me so the boot runs small. It is tight at first you need to wear it in a bit. Make sure to find a high quality leather protector spray to use to keep your Frye's in their best condition. Best boot I have ever bought: hands down. I'm smitten and have already had a bunch of compliments. These are both western and riding boots and don't make you look like a cowboy. I had ordered a bunch of similar Frye's but this style fit the best and was the most chic in my opinion.
