This coat looks good, but I was expecting more of a black color.

Have been looking for a new in between jacket for years. I have a dress jacket (not warm enough) and my heavy duty jacket (warm but super bulky and not convenient for daily wear). My goals for a jacket were something that was longer, lighter, and comfy/stylish. I'm 5'4", with a fluffy athletic build, and huge hips, I also have a history of ripping the armpits out of jackets because of shoulders being too small. I went with a large which fits great on the upper half! I have great range of motion in the shoulders and extra room in waste, hips are on snug side but I expected that. I can wear a thin sweatshirt under but not thick, which is ok for me. Arm length great, torso length is great still covers my butt ( I have tall torso), tons of pockets, and love the 2way zipper to half unzip while driving. Have already told a ton of people about the jacket.

I love this jacket. I was a little disappointed when the color major looked more like an army green than the taupe I received. I was able to find a pair of boots that match it perfect so I love it. I wore it in 30 degree weather and walking through snow while in Germany. I was kept quite warm. I would recommend this jacket.

I bought this last minute for a business trip to Buffalo NY in January. I have been here for 2 weeks and have been warm the whole time, which is all I wanted (the Omni Heat really works)! I did take the belt off as I didn't want to deal with it, but love it none the less. I have a few more trips to the cold coming up so I will get lots of use :)

I have had many compliments on my coat; it looks awesome. It is tighter than I expected based upon previous winter jackets I have owned. It's light weight, but warmer than bulky coats I have owned. I love the "light cloud" color and bits of leather trim. I would buy it, again, in a heartbeat!

This is a great coat but i need a way thicker sweater or 5 sweaters when the tempertures reach 20 degrees. But besides that its great

This jacket has it all! A hood, length, all the pockets you could ask for! Omniheat never fails to keep me warm and the waterproof exterior keeps you dry!! Love it cute belt as well!

The fur around the hood is detachable. The coat is stain proof, which is great while working with kids.

This is a great winter coat. It's attractive and functional. The only complaints I have are that the faux fur on the hood has some wisps that can get in your line of sight and be sort of annoying. I also don't love the belt. It's fine, but less useful than something you could easily tie. Overall this is a great product for the price.

I agree with the other reviews, fits a little on the small side. I'm 5'5 135 pounds and normally wear size 6 to 8. I ordered a medium which fits but has no extra room for layers. The jacket is warm, blocks the wind and is waterproof. The outer shell also repels dirt. The fur around the hood needs improvement. It looks ratty, really not appropriate for the office. The hood liner would also look classier in off white rather than dreary gray. I also don't understand why the pockets are not positioned on the side. A few improvements and it would be perfect.

The style of this jacket is fantastic! I see how the technology is supposed to work, but I think you have to move a lot in order for it to work well enough to keep you super warm. I live in North Carolina so our frigid days are few and far between.

I REALLY love this coat and I feel somewhat authorized to recommend it as a resident of the Midwest. My ONLY qualm with it (and the reason for the 4 out of 5 stars for overall) is that I did struggle mightily with the plastic double zipper at first, so much so, that it broke on my first go-round with this coat, necessitating a new one. Maybe it was a defective zipper, maybe it was me (entirely possible) but it took me a bit to get the trick of holding both of the pulls together to effectively remove the slide. (I'm no doubt using all of the wrong zipper terms here, hopefully you know what I mean.) Once I got that down - and a new jacket thanks to Zappo's excellent customer care - I find no fault with this coat. I'll really put it to the test when I go home to the U.P. for NYE in a couple weeks but that feels unfair to almost ANY coat out there :) I am confident that with the addition of a layer or two (which this coat has ample room for since it's not bulky) I'll be able to withstand whatever the frozen northern tundra will throw at me. Purchase with confidence!

Got this at a sporting goods store on Black Friday, I am about 5'4 size 10, apple shape. The medium was right in the shoulders but too snug in the midsection. Given the belt, I went up to the Large, which fits pretty well, although a little roomy in the shoulders. I suppose this will be of benefit with a heavy sweater. So far, so good -have worn it a few chilly days in NYC. Hood is a good fit and does not block peripheral view.

Very cute but just a little too utilitarian for me. I tried it in two colors before returning it.

I was anxious when I received my package from Columbia to try this coat. Love the color, not as bright as it looked online, and that it is long enough to cover my tush without being a long coat. Unfortunately it is too tight across the chest and upper arm areas for me. Will be returning and trying a different coat.

Great jacket. Just wished it offered more colors even though the color I ordered is okay.

I just purchased this coat in an XL and it fits great, I like the belt with it also. It makes the coat look nicer. I haven't worn it yet cuz it hasn't been that cold so I don't know how warm it will keep me. But overall glad I bought this.

I am so glad I went with this coat! There were a few I was deciding between and the other reviews I read on here helped me to decide on this one. It is the warmest coat I have ever owned and not bulky at all. Actually right after I got my coat we dipped down to -0 temps and it did awesome!! I have to walk outside for work, so this coat definitely made me happy! I am tall and was concerned about arm length....now based on other reviews I was going to order a medium, but I ordered a large because medium was sold out. So glad I got the large because the arm length is perfect...I have some room in the body but nothing too big. I am 5'11" and 170...usually wear medium/large shirts, have a large bust, and size 10 pants if that helps anyone. The hood on this coat has worked great, the only part of the coat I didn't care for was the belt...it's not ideal for on and off situations. I just took it off and the coat is still super cute and very flattering.

I'm totally in love with this coat. I'm 5'2" and 125 lbs. and the medium is a good fit although a tad long in the arms. Be aware that this is a fitted jacket, so it's not going to work with bulky sweaters and sweatshirts underneath unless you are a really slim gal. My package arrived at my office and I wore it going out to get some lunch. The temp today is hovering around 0F with below zero wind chill. I was perfectly warm. The coat is very well constructed, as one would expect from this company, with lots of pockets...lots of pockets! Lightweight and warm...exactly what I wanted.

I bought this coat for a trip to New York City for Thanksgiving and absolutely loved it. It's relatively lightweight and compact for a winter coat, so I didn't have any problems packing it in my luggage or carrying it in my arms when indoors. Yet, it kept me warm when we were standing outdoors for hours. If I put up the hood and button the coat all the way up, there's no need for me to bring along a hat or scarf to keep warm. I'm petite, so the arms were long for me. However, this enabled me to pull my hands up into the arms when walking around, so I didn't need gloves either. I liked the interior pocket for when I wanted to carry around money and credit cards without worrying about being pickpocketed. Best of all, I found this coat suitably stylish for New York City, and the removable faux fur trim around the hood is cute.

I've worn it only twice but I really like this coat. Very warm. I love the cuffs on the sleeves, and the inside pockets are great. I got a small which is what I wear in the Mighty Lite jacket and it fits well. Just maybe a bit big through the waist but the sleeve length is perfect. Just so you know, I got the brown (mineshaft) but it's more of a brownish gray color. If you're looking for a chocolate brown coat, this isn't it.The only reason I gave the function a 4 is because it's a bit stiff but I think it will soften up with more wear.

I do love the jacket but I'm 5 foot 8 and am very thin. I got the small and the waist is a bit big and the sleeves are a bit tight. If I went to a medium, the waist would be way too big but the sleeves would probably be perfect. Other than that, so many pockets to choose from and it's very warm. In Ohio, winter is just about here and it is definitely going to keep me warm.

Great looking jacket, but it runs very small. Arms and shoulders were tight. Definitely order a size up.
