5 stars for everything if made in USA, but all Nashuas come from the DR now. Still good, but pricey for third world import.

Fits like a comfortable slipper after a small break in period. Hard to find a shoe wide enough in a 9.

Very nice shoe.
Still curious how well the rubber sole will hold up, I usually wear full leather soles.

Well, it's the 2nd pair, the quality of the material is great, but the quality control on the sizing is very Much lacking.

The Nashua fit was poor. I wear a B-width and this shoe fit like a C-width.
Overall workmanship was good.

Overall, the shoes are OK. Wish the sole was thicker. When walking shoes feel like there's almost nothing between my feet and the pavement.

I own six pairs. Initially there were problems quickly with the sole separating from the shoe at the toe but that problem has been minimized recently. The heels wear down sooner that one would expect with regular usage. My most recent purchase was direct from the factory rather than the retail outlet and the fit was much smaller than I experienced in the past. When they fit they are quite comfortable and I like the appearance very much.

Very comfortable. Fit is good.
Would have rated higher but the color is a more reddish brown than I typically like...personal thing. I will probably order one of the darker models to complement.
A good shoe, regardless.

I like the look of the shoe, however the heel is wearing way to quick even before the shoe is broken in. This shoe seem to be taking a long time to break in,which to me is odd for one of your shoes.

I have had a pair of the black and brown Nashuas since last year and had been keeping my eye on the factory second shoe bank for months to pick up a tan pair, but with no luck. With summer approaching, I decided get a first run pair. When I ordered them on line, I received a message that they were not in stock, but a pair would be made in several weeks. Well, I received them in less time than was estimated. The leather is smooth, the color is even better than is shown on the web site and the shoes are comfortable. However, this pair is wider than my other pair of Nashuas, even though they are the same listed size. As a result, they don't fit as well.
Also, right after I received them, I saw a tan pair at the factory second shoe bank, for about $70 less than what I had paid.

I believe these would be my 4th pair and unlike the previous sets which fit like a slipper from the get go, these are unusually tight... or firm... or maybe just too small. I've thought perhaps requiring a break-in period but the right foot is starting to question that strategy. My apologies about using the public forum but your emailed questionnaire facilitated the response... what w/ my very busy schedule, who knows when I'll get around to ever bringing it up. Excellent product... this round just isn't spoiling my feet like the last ones.

i love the fact that i wore this shoe all over europe with no complaints.however, after a few months the rubber sole is separating from the toe..actually had to get it repaired by the cobbler since it was impeding my walking.hopefully that will help but i am somewhat disappointed on the quality

comfortable
I'm a dress, casual type for most days. These are perfect. Socks, or no socks.
Pant or shorts. Not much to break in and seem to become more comfy the more I wear them.
Thanks, Good shoes.

I have one small concern. I've only had the shoe about a month, and have only worn it a half dozen times and yet there is a small separation appearing on the toe. It looks like the rubber sole is starting to separate from the leather. It's minor at this point but who knows? I have another pair of the same Nashua shoe (different color style) that is 5 years old and no such problem has ever occurred.

I have 3 pair of the Nashua shoes, all different colors. This pair and the black ones most recently purchased fit slightly shorter than a pair purchased earlier. It may be that the others have just stretched a bit. The only complaint isn't specific to this shoe, it is that I use to rely on Allen Edmonds for their wide selection of narrow (A width) shoes, and the selection seems to have "narrowed" a bit in recent years. I wish these and other casual shoes were offered or could be made in an A width.

I have the same style shoe in a different color that fit perfectly in a 12. However, this time the 12 was too long, so I had to go to the trouble to send them back for an 11 1/2. With both orders, the shoes were temporarily backordered so I have had to wait and wait again.

I was walking on a pavement when I stumbled on my right toe. Due to it's toe sole design (ribs across toe sole) it grabbed the floor. I may have not stepped right but in some ways the sole design is a factor. I had the same experience repeatedly on my first Nashua shoes until the ribs on the toe got broken in, i.e. worn so not very sensitive to grabbing the floor. The outer sole separated from the leather insole about 1" wide at the tip of the toe edge.
Maybe the way I walk is a factor but I do not have this experience with other shoes.
So, I will have to deliberately try to wear (BUFF IT DOWN) these ribs faster to eliminate this issue.
Other wise great comfortable shoes.

I've bought three pairs of these rubber-soled Nashua dress shoes for wear at my office job.... The hard-soled Cody's or Lowry Hill was what I used to wear. I do like the Nashua's a lot, they fit great, look good, and last well.
However, I've had to take two pairs (black with the brown trim) back fairly quickly as the very front sole of both left and right shoe begins to separate...as if there's not sufficient glue at the tip of the shoe. It results in stubbing the toe, which then further contributes to the problem.
I must say that AE has a no-hassle return policy, and they've given me brand new replacements, no questions asked. While I very much appreciate this service, I hope AE fixes this minor problem.

I have a narrow heal so it can be hard to find a shoe that looks good and fits. I find it a tad width but snug enough to fit. It was great right out of the box,

I had high hopes for these AE Nashua, at first glance is a nice looking shoe. Right shoe was wider than the left (even visually). Had a couple of left over threads that QC missed and the insole on both shoes was poorly glued, either on the wrong position or left over glue. In my opinion not acceptable in a $245 shoe. The quality of the leather was very good and rubber sole seemed good enough.

Ordered my usual shoe size (8 1/2 M) and they were too tight. Reordered 9 E, and they were too large.
