Soles on this shoe make it easier to stumble on carpeted surfaces, but offer more stability on smooth surfaces. This comment is the reason for a good and not excellent overall satisfaction rating. Younger individuals may not experience the carpeted issue.

The black and brown pair are perfect fits. Will be using a shoe stretcher on the brown and tan pair and hopefully correct the tightness.

I ordered a 10D as with other AE products. This shoe is way too narrow for the size.

One of my favorite shoes. Wear them with dress slacks, chinos, and jeans. Look good with all.

Good. Could be improved by allowing for trial wear before buy.

The shoe does size a bit small, I had to go up half a size. Once I had the right size and slipped them on they were comfortable and look so good. I did have a problem with one tassel coming off when I took the protective cover off.

Quality of the shoe is not an issue. I just did not like the "heaviness" of the shoe.

Product is of great build quality, However runs a little large and wide.

This is the second pair I've owned. This is a casual shoe made for comfort. Less formal than some other loafer designs. Fit is good and has the fine A E leather.

I have returned the shoes twice for credit because they do not fit

Right fit perfectly but left shoe was way too tight. The left shoe had to be a "b" width instead of an "e"

Hope you continue to make this style as I have been wearing them for many years.

This is a comfortable and handsome loafer -- I am wearing them as I write. The only thing I would warn buyers about is that they look darker on the website than they do in person. Other than that, they are a great choice and another excellent Allen Edmonds shoe.

From my perspective I have seen a decrease in the quality of shoes that I have purchased.

I liked the style and quality, so I ordered. I have 10 pair AE shoes - all 9.5 E. These ran narrow and returned for next width, 3E, which were way too wide so couldn't keep.

2nd pair of this model. I may get a third for vacation home.

Very nice shoes. They are a great value. My size is 10.5D. I tried 10.5E as well as 11D before settling on 10.5D. The shoes are tight all around. I was told they are snug but will stretch. I wear them occasionally. Am still waiting for them to adjust to my feet.

Great style Great fit And great experience shopping at Allen Edwards for the first time. I will return.

For an E width shoe, it seems a bit narrow across the ball of the foot

The website photo shows this product to be dark brown top, with medium brown bottom. In actuality, the bottom is more tan than brown. I originally purchased this product twice in 2016 and returned both times due to color variance. When product was discounted in 2017, I purchased product again with the intent to just polish the bottom with a darker brown polish. This is good product for price.

Good product. Comfortable and neat looking. Needs additional arch support.

I bought these shoes in size 12B. The fit is perfect. My big complaint is that they are not as dark a brown as I expected when I ordered on-line. Had I known the true color, I would have ordered the Black w/ brown trim instead. I notice another commenter said the same thing. I tried wearing them once and the color just isn't right. I guess I am stuck with them now, but I wanted to let other potential purchasers know of this color problem and suggest that you see the shoes in person at a store.

Color of the shoe is not as nice as was shown on line. Fit is very tight and I am having them stretched some before I wear them. I have noticed that other brands of shoes I have purchased in the last 3-4 year are somewhat tight for a few months.

This is a great shoe. I even use the oldest pair as yard shoes. There is only one thing that if improved would make these shoes perfect. A sole that is as comfortable as the current one, but that lasted longer than they currently do. The sole is very soft and great if you walk a lot on hard surfaces, but wears out in about a year if you wear them every day.
