I have been buying these hoes for years for tennis. I have wide feet and it is tough to find shoes that fit me. But make sure you double tie The shoelaces. Last year they came on done while I was playing tennis and I fell and broke my finger. But I highly recommend these shoes. They have great support.

My right foot is just a fraction longer than my left. When the right shoe fit, I was very excited as I have a very hard to fit foot. But the left shoe was too short. Grrrr.

Ordered the wide because the regular width was too tight. But these are too big - heel slips out & toe box is huge!

Great shoes, but not for clay tennis courts!

The 2E width was narrower than the D width! What a disappointment. My orthotics require a wider size for one foot. May have to go to another brand after years with NB.

I play once a week in an inside court and after using these shoes for only three months, the whole front side of the shoes' seems completely tore apart. The stitching was very poor because at the end of that time span, I had two huge holes in my shoes. I don't recommend getting these shoes, or any other NB shoes with stitching's in the front, if you are a regular tennis player.

Wanted to love these. Once had them on felt like left right were swapped. Couldn't walk normally through my kitchen. Very strange mold of foot and definitely not my foot. Shame

Normally I wear an 8N. I always order my tennis shoes a 1/2 size larger. Order these shoes in 8.5N. That size was too short. Ordered them again in 9N. Length was OK but width in toe box was too larbe

Think this shoe will be great; however with my orthotic insert I need to go up half a size. So happy Zappos carries a narrow shoe specifically for tennis as they are hard to find! Thank you, Zappos!

Like Julia B I am a long time fan of the 806. I have lost count of the number of pairs I have purchased. Last Fall I ordered a pair (same size as always) and they were too small...!?
I sent them back and received another pair that fit perfectly. When those started to wear I ordered another and now when I need them for the upcoming USTA playoffs, I discover this new pair is too small (short in length) AGAIN!
I am guessing New Balance is using a new manufacturer who is inconsistent or does not have good quality control?
NB PLEASE PLEASE fix whatever is creating these inconsistencies in your sizing. My feet hurt from trying to play with these defects.

I LOVE this shoe & it is the only one I wear to play tennis. When I wear down the tread I immediately put things in motion to buy a new pair. I do not bother looking at any other shoe as the fit and support from this one is superb and the leather ensures my feet don't stink even when my playing does.

After trying multiple other tennis shoes and suffering foot and hip pain, I decided to try these even though I was not crazy about their style. They have made a world of difference! Instantly, my foot pain is gone while I play and they are super comfy. I only wish they were more breathable and came in more colors.

I actually loved the shoe, fantastic support. However, after wearing them for only 4 weeks, the soles are already worn out, which is crazy. I do play lots of tennis, but am usually able to keep them for about 3 months. I contacted Zappos about this, and they wouldn't help me, they said I had to go through New Balance directly, which was quite disappointing. I guess I will be buying directly from NB moving forward, if they can't provide me support after purchase.

I do have a wide foot and find that only shoes made by New Balance fit my foot. I have purchased several pairs of New Balance shoes for tennis over the past few years. The fit seems to be accurate for my foot. It would be nice to have a little more arch support as it seems a little less than moderate. There is plenty of toe room and these shoes did not require any "break-in" period for me.
I'd also recommend:
Not aware of any other company that carries wide for women's shoes.

New Balance used to be my go-to court shoe for pickleball, but they have changed their sizing and no longer have a wide toe box. Too bad!

This is hands down the narrowest athletic shoe I've found. Feeling good about the support I'm getting now, since my foot isn't sliding from side-to-side even though laces are tied as snugly as possible. A bit stiff, but is working out nicely - since I've never had a shoe fit like this, my feet are getting accustomed to shoes that stay in place. Wish it came in more color options.

I have worn this shoe for past two years. In the last year, they have resized this shoe. The 6 was way too large. The 5.5 is way too tight. I just don't understand how such an awesome shoe could be changed for the worse. Very disappointed.

Runs short like most New Balance shoes these days. I wear a 12N in Saucony, but 12's are too short in New Balance. Too bad as this seems like a well-made shoe.

I'm happy with these shoes, I have bunions and have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable with my orthotics and these shoes work well. I did have trouble with the heels slipping, but it's fine, and may be more due to the orthotics than the shoes themselves.

Got this because doc recommended roll bar. Not thrilled with style, sort of grannyish. However, support is there. I use for walking and intermediate hiking. My foot doesn't seem to roll and is stable within the shoe. I have the beginnings of bunions which do cause me pain. I sometimes order a 7 1/2 to get more room, but usually do fine with a regular size 7. I could hardly get my foot into the 7 because it was way too narrow. This is a stiff shoe. Since the 7 seemed so small, I ordered a whole size up and a wide, but it was too large. I finally settled on a 7 1/2 wide. It is roomy but not so that it falls off. There is room for an orthotic. I would recommend this shoe if you are looking for a stabilizing sneaker. Thank goodness for Zappos fast shipping and free returns/exchanges - LOVE this company!

These shoes have been the best addition to my tennis game. I play twice per week and have worn them for the last year. I am ready to get a new pair of the same shoes to replace them with. I play on hard courts and clay and find them particularly well suited to the hard court surface.

They may look a little more clunky than I like but I have been wearing this model for years and it is perfect for support and my wide feet. Used as my go to tennis shoe.

I purchased the Narrow and had to return them. The length felt true to size but the depth of the toe box was too deep
