These shoes offer the support needed on the tennis court and they are comfortable and good looking. Also, are forgiving of my bunions! I normally wear a 61/2 bought these in a 7.

These are the best tennis shoes I have ever worn. I have problem feet and wear orthotics and they fit comfortably in the shoe. I order a half size larger to fit with tennis socks & a wide width. Perfect fit. My physiatrist recommended New Balance exclusively.

It is so difficult to find shoes to fit my narrow heel. These are great. I wear full orthotics so don't feel that I can pass judgement on the arch support. But it is so nice to a selection of shoes that fits my foot needs.

My go to shoe for tennis. Was recommended to me by a foot doc that made my orthotics. I wear a size 7 shoe but get 1/2 size bigger for tennis. The inserts need a full size bigger.

I tried two pairs of this model of tennis shoes and both developed premature HOLES in the sole near my dominant toe...the rest of the shoes look totally new. Zappos customer service was great about letting me replace the first one with the second one, and refunding the second one after a deep hole appeared in the same spot after only two months of normal tennis use. New Balance has always prided itself on its sturdy soles, but unfortunately this model seems to have some kind of softer rubber composition. I'm disappointed because the shoes look good and are comfortable, but this breakage just isn't acceptable. I'll try a different New Balance model and hope for the best. I've always worn New Balance (decades) so you can believe me when I tell you this shoe is not wearing like all of the many others I've bought (too bad they discontinued the 804, which lasted forever).

These felt great right out of the box, and worked well with my custom orthotic. Zero break in period. However, I've worn through them faster than any other tennis shoe I've owned in the last 30 years. The last time I wore through the toe of a shoe so fast I was on court 40+ hours/week teaching junior tennis daytimes & hitting with friends at night.

I wanted purple athletic shoes but was disappointed with these because the purple was already peeling off when they were delivered. It looks like the purple was painted over the grey. I imagine that after wearing them a few times, all of the purple would be worn off. This is unacceptable considering the price.

I play tennis twice a week and need a wide shoe. These offer good stability and structure and a thicker foot bed for my slightly older feet. They have the largest toe box of any shoe I have ever had, there is almost too much room in the toe box. No pinch points, however, so I am good with the extra room. Very little arch support, which I miss from earlier NB models. I've added arch support.

I have been wearing NB tennis shoes for years now and I love them, but these have not lived up to the usual standard offered by NB. Did they change the bottoms? These shoes have worn down - to a hole in the bottom of one of them - while the shoes themselves look brand new.

I have ordered and worn these shoes for years. The size, fit, and comfort are great. There is no breaking in period. I wear orthodics which work great in these shoes. I am a tennis player, so these are my tennis, tennis shoes. I do not recommend them for walking. There are other tennis shoes that are better for walking.

Shoe shopping is always a difficult task for me. As a child, I had to wear unfashionable tie oxfords while the rest of my classmates wore fashionable loafers. The heels of the shoes would always slide up and down. Sometimes I would walk right out of the shoe unless the shoe was securely tied to my foot. Until about 15 years ago, I was able to buy narrow width AA shoes from better shoe stores. Then I was told nobody wore narrow shoes anymore, so the stores stopped carrying them. Just to make buying shoes interesting, not only is my foot narrow, the right foot also pronates due to an overly flexible or collapsed arch. This creates more fit problems for the right foot. This shoe was far too short in the toes. The rest of the shoe seemed okay, but it did not fit, so I am sending it back. The is the shortest New Balance shoe I have ever tried on. It had poor arch support.

I have always used New Balance for all of my sneaker needs. I have very wide feet and my tennis shoes are fabulous. Unfortunately, New Balance has changed the sizing of its "wide" and the wide is now too narrow for me. I have tried wide in several of the styles and their sizing is consistent. No wides fit me. Bummer.

Excellent tennis shoes. They fit beautifully, and have great cushioning. They are also the only high quality tennis shoe brand that I know of now that offers different widths for tennis shoes.

The shoes were very comfortable from the first. I play basketball and can't find a good fit in a regular basketball shoe because I have narrow feet. These have the same type of tread and have been excellent for this purpose.

I play tennis 3-5 times per week and NB makes the sneaker that fits my foot best. Roomy toe box (doesn't squeeze sensitive bunions) and well supported heel. I am a loyal fan!

This is a great sturdy tennis shoe, especially for someone with foot issues. The purple lining is attractive on the shoe. The sizes run small, so try a 1/2 size bigger.

Great shoe. I've tried many court shoes and New Balance are the only ones I can put on right out of the box, play tennis for 2 hours and not think once about my feet. Probably wouldn't be great for people with really narrow feet.

Very comfy, yet supportive, tennis shoe. The only problem I initially had with these is that the back of my ankles got blisters from the top of the shoe rubbing. I do think that part comes up higher than other athletic shoes. But after a few wears they were great!

I never used to wear NB, but Nikes this year didn't seem to fit properly and so decided to try these.
I had to take a 71/2 inlieu of a 7. They feel like they support my foot all around with no slipping. I ended up buying two(2) pair so I would have one in reserve.
I do feel that most of the shoe manufacturers have changed their sizing. So it is always a hit or miss. One has to keeping trying on the sneakers until one feels good, then walk in them in the house to make sure they stay feeling good. And this shoe did.

I ordered many different shoes to try for tennis and these in an 11 narrow worked the best. I tried a number of other New Balance in narrow and some K Swiss that run narrow, but these were easily the winner. All of my sandals are a 9.5 Narrow and occasionally I will wear a 10 in some shoes. However, in these and in my running shoes I go with an 11 narrow. I tried them out for a few hours of tennis and had no breaking in period. I am very happy with this tennis shoe. I put Superfeet inserts into these shoes and they fit fine.

I have a wide foot and the wide in this was plenty wide enough so this is a good shoe if you have a genuinely wide foot. If your foot is only slightly wide, the wide might be too wide. I have worn them for tennis several times and they are great. No break-in period needed. They also feel light on even though they are supportive and leather or faux leather (not sure which). I wear a 9.5 shoe but often go up a half size in sneakers so I ordered both a 9.5W and 10W. In the 9.5 my toes were very close to the top so I kept the 10s and returned the 9.5 (thank you Zappos). I am glad I went with the larger size because my toes don't jam into the top of the shoe while playing tennis. I also ordered the WC804 New Balance. The 804 comes up higher on the ankle than the 806 and since this bothers by ankles I returned the 804 (thank you again Zappos). Great shoe. Like it much better than my Babolat which never fit that great.
