I have been buying 10 4E New Balance tennis shoes for many years. This pair of 10 4E's were much too narrow. Don't buy them if you have wide feet.

Just way too narrow in the toe area. Nice value for the shoe, just way too snug.

Narrower toe box than expected. Fit length wise, but too tight even in 4E had to go up to next half size longer, which isn't the best in a court shoe!

Unfortunately these shoes are no longer true to size and I've had to switch to ASICS. The shoes run about a size too small.

A successor to the wonderful model 804, unfortunately they seemed to have changed the sizing--my 10.5 for the 804 is now a half-size too small in the 806. Too bad, style and comfort are high--but fit has changed.

As always Zappos service is great. I've had several pairs of New Balance court shoes including an earlier version of this one. The shoe runs about 1/2 size small which is a problem after an hour on the court. I'm returning them.

I must have had 20 pairs of these tennis shoes, or their predecessors. After years of buying size 12's, I had to move to a 12 1/2.

This tennis shoe is well fitting, light wight with sufficient arch support. On the negative side, the outer soul is made of materials too soft and will ware thin with average tennis play in just 3 months.

I bought these for my husband and son. My son wears size 16 and there aren't too many choices in that size so I'm thankful NB has these. I only gave 3 stars because the sole of my husband's pair was completely worn down within 2 months. The soles on my son's shoes still looked good at that point (I had bought both around the same time), so I'd probably give 3.5 stars if I could. I believe that my husband got a defective pair, and Zappos did replace them when I complained. While husband plays tennis more frequently than my son, he wasn't playing often enough to warrant them wearing out that quickly. I'd say he was playing twice a week, occasionally 3 times in one week. He plays hard, but not that hard! I see that one other reviewer had a similar problem so there could be a quality control issue at NB for this particular shoe. I'd had NB tennis shoes for myself in the past and had not had such an extreme wear issue previously. I should also mention that my husband has plantar fasciitis and finds that his old running shoes wind up being more comfortable for tennis than these shoes -- to be fair, though, any tennis playing aggravates his feet. My son finds these shoes comfortable and has no complaints in that area.

The uppers were no doubt leather as advertised. But I could detect no leather-like suppleness that I was looking for and required to get a good fit.

Love these shoes, though the key problem, do not get em went enough the bottom rubber souls cannot really get puddle wet. It causes the glue to give up and you end up having to glue to back with after-market shoe glues that work quite poorly.
I would avoid these shoes in the future due to this problem in the future.

Good support but the width seems off I can only wear them for a short while, The length seems fine. I suggest you size up your width, I need a 4E so I am out of luck.

I have purchsed this shoe for many years. My current pair was less than a year old. While playing tennis, the sole broke away from the shoe. My leg was injured. Not able to play for 2 weeks. A tennis partner of mine had two of these break away soles while playing. Is there a quality control issue here? These have always been my go to tennis shoes, but now I hesitate buying another pair.

running on NB 1080s (4E) for years; disappointed that the 4Es for 806s & 1006s are too narrow; almost certain the problem is the leather uppers; mesh upper would be better and allow enough give.

I bought these shoes for pickleball. The women's size 12 was sold out so I bought a mens size 10. Typically Mens shoes are a bit wider but not these. My toes were burning by the time I finished playing and I'm afraid to give them a second chance. Extremely disappointed.

while the back of the shoe is super wide, the toe box is a standard width -- not a 4E, not a 2E not even a W.

Purchased the 806 despite mixed reviews on whether the toe box was wide or not. Unfortunately for me the toe box comes to a point like many other shoes rather than rounded. Maybe I'm the outlier but I've found it very difficult to find a tennis shoe with a more natural rounded toe box. Arch support seems lacking as well.

I've been wearing New balance for years because they off the wider sizes. This shoe was first used on 3/31/21, and I play tennis 2-3 times a week on soft courts. This tear appeared after about 10 weeks (maybe 30 uses), which is not up to the standards of New Balance. I hope this will not be the issue with future New Balance purchases...

The shoes fit well the first three weeks. Since they are leather I expected them to stretch a little bit. They did. Unfortunately, they continued to stretch so much that after 3 weeks they are almost unwearable. I switched to thick Thorlo socks but they stretched even wider. I have never had a nice pair of leather athletic shoes do this. Very dissapointed.

I’ve purchased many NewBalance 8.5 4E shoes and they normally fit well. However, these shoes were may too narrow.... I had to double check that they were really 4E as they felt like “normal” width (so I wondered if Zappos had shipped the right shoes). In addition to the toe box being very narrow, the overall sized seemed about a half size too small.
Style wise, these looked good and appeared to be well made (although this is based only on visuals without ever wearing these shoes).

NB should review its stock on this item number to see if the inventory was cut too narrow for a 4 E
