I had high hopes for this regular width, but it was still too wide. I typically get New Balance shoes in EE width, but even these D widths had too much room.

These shoes are heavier than I'm used to wearing, but the stability they provide is excellent. I typically wear a 10 EE in New Balance shoes, but it feels like there's just a bit too much slop on the inside. I'm exchanging them for a regular width to see if those fit better.

MUCH narrower than 4E, Left shoe seemed larger than right. Wore them about 5-6 times and don't like.
Seems NB can't make a consistent pair of sneakers anymore! Every pair a different size & width other than marked.
Very frustrating.

I finally decided on these NBs vs. the 700 or 600 series. However, I tried on each of the three series in both 11.5 and 12. I wear a 10.5/11 shoe and always take at least an 11 in my golf shoes. I use to play a lot of tennis but have not in a while and needed a new court shoe as I plan to get into pickleball. I liked the feel of the 600 series but they were a bit too light and I was not sure of the overall and lateral support. Ultimately, I felt that these 800s were a bit more sturdy and I liked that they were leather vs. a synthetic material (both the 600s and the 700s were synthetic). However, I wound up getting them in a size 12 to accommodate a store bought orthotic. NB has always had a more generous width and toe box than say Nike (typically narrow) so their D width works fine for me and my flat feet.

Although these are technically tennis shoes, I play little tennis in them. I mainly use them for walking shoes. I wear a size 16 B and it's hard to find those shoes anywhere. Although New Balance makes various pairs of men's shoes in size 16 B, in my opinion, most of them do not have much style. These 806 shoes have the most style of the type of shoe I'm looking for. The running shoes have style too, but I don't wear those for daily walking due to little lateral support. To be honest, my favorite New Balance shoes are the 1012s. These are no longer being made and I don't see a newer version of them (with associated different model number) being available. Those shoes were a combination of leather and mesh fabric which makes them lighter than the 806s. I believe they were classified as (cross) training shoes. They also came in my desired shoe size. I kept them for about 4 years as I could not find anything else at the time that I was looking for. I wanted a relatively light shoe, good for walking and tennis, with style in my size. The 806s are very close to having it all for me. I just wish there was a version with portions of it being mesh (like the 1012s) to make the shoe a bit lighter and breath better. However, the 806s are the closest I've found to my favorite shoe. The leather construction makes the shoe more stable at the expense of some extra weight. I'm ok with that though. Hopefully we'll get an upgrade of the 1012s in the future. I'd quickly buy a few pairs of those.

I have a wide foot for which it is difficult to find a shoe. New Balance has it, and a highly competent shoe at that!

Seems to be narrow for a "D"-sized shoe. Will be returning. Gave 3 stars on comfort as they did not fit.

I have a narrow foot (B width) and NB is the only brand I've found that makes a quality tennis shoe in narrow widths. They are reasonably light, durable, and comfortable.

I can only wear New Balance / Dunham shoes due to my wide foot (4E) The problem that I have is that New Balance changes the lasts (the molds that they use to make shoes) the one that fits me best is the MX-001 Standard last. See this link for great information on this http://www.wherefeetloveus.com/about-new-balance-shoes.aspx
With that said, the 800 series had been my go to shoe due to its superior support. But, a few years ago I tried the 786 and it was very comfortable for the Tennis I play on hard courts. The 786V2 has gotten narrower and so has the 800 series (now 806). My suggestion is to buy from Zappos and try them on. Zappos has been great with their return policy, and they are extremely quick and efficient on their Chat if you need support. The 806 is a solid shoe, with firm support and though they are a bit heavy, they don't feel clunky on the court. If you are looking for cushioning, go with the 786.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance and Dunham for wide feed (like mine)

Although this is the only shoe that fits me, New Balance never puts them on sale. Makes me angry.

I like these shoes. I have wide feet and they fit like a glove. They are firmer than I'm used too but then again, I normally wear running shoes which have more cushion. Once I broke them in they felt pretty comfortable. I work 12 shifts and now when I get home my feet don't hurt like they once did. Another thing I like about these shoe is that they are not flashy. Not bright colors, not shiny silver. Just nice simple styling. Good job New Balance!

Seems like a well constructed shoe but had to return it because it was too narrow. I ordered both a 9 and 9.5 in a 4E width because I have duck feet. Unfortunately, they both felt more like an E width.

Like the shoes a lot so far for comfort, fit and support - I have a long history of trouble finding tennis shoes that meet those requirements. But haven't worn them long enough yet to comment on durability.

Ordered these for my husband, who normally wears a size 14B. The MC806W runs short -- and we have noticed this problem more frequently with the newer New Balance styles -- so I exchanged them for a 15B. The 15B fits him well. As always, the Zappos exchange process was easy and fast.

These are my husband's new favorite tennis shoes. He has always favored New Balance since he has large (size 15), wide feet. These shoes are by far the most comfortable for him and last the longest. He still tends to "blow out the sides" after a season of use.

New Balance Tennis shoes. Very comfortable and enjoyable to wear. As cushioning as my running shoes. Played tennis only once but was quite impressed with the comfort. I also wore them on a basketball court and found the gripping power not as impressive. So for traction I have to say mediocre but everything else thumbs up.
