On my 3rd pair of 806. Best boating/ fishing shoe I have owned. The "tennis treads" are almost equivalent to my ANSI no-slip work shoes.
One complaint is the inner sole is a wee bit thin. I replace the inner sole with 10 Seconds Insoles for comfort when on the water .

I really wanted women's 806 shoes for tennisbut I wear an 8 1/2 2E and New Balance is not making them at this time! So I went to men's 74E and they fit fine, but I'd really, really like them to restart the 2E's in the 806. New Balance is one of the very few companies that make the wider widths. This is a terrific shoe for those using lateral movement, since it has a stabilizer in it.

I've been wearing this model, and its close predecessors, for 25 years or more. These shoes are HEAVY, but are comforatble and a great fit for my wide feet, with excellent beginning support. However, I have noticed that the build quality of these shoes has declined over the past several years. Sometimes the shoe fit is just a bit odd, though wearable, and the support structure starts to wear down in a month. More importantly, the bottom rubberized layer consistently peels off at the heel after perhaps six weeks of pickleball games, something that NEVER used to happen. I have inquired with customer service but have never received more than an anodyne response. These shoes have served me well, but I'd try another brand if I could find one with a wide fit (the K Swiss wides are not really satisfactory substitutes).

Show felt supportive and moved well, a bit heavy, but not uncomfortable so. Returned to try a half size larger, & will wait to see how they do.

I play pickleball 3 hrs a day, 6 or 7 days a week, outside on a hard surface. These shoes are, by far, the most comfortable shoes that I have worn for pickleball. I would give them a 5 star rating but I only get about 4-5 months wear out of a pair.

I really like the tennis shoes but New Balance needs some variety. In tennis shoes, I had one choice of style and only white. Good shoe, but I wish you had some selections to choose from.

Been wearing NB tennis shoes for a long time...very good shoes. However, these seemed a little large/wider on me than expected.

Love these shoes for tennis, but hard to believe you pay this much and have to immediately replace the insoles!

Size, fit and finish were excellent. A little more arch support would be nice but current support is OK.

I use these as regular, everyday shoes. I have flat, narrow feet. Support, comfort and durability are all great.

I have not had a court shoe for a few years, but I'm now picking up pickle-ball. I have to admit that my choices are very limited because I have narrow feet, so New Balance, and only very few of those, are the only ones available. This is a well-built and good-fitting shoe. I have only just started using them, so I may revise this review after a while, but for now I'm quite satisfied,

I wear a 10.5 Wide or EE in Brooks, Asics, Skechers...and other brands and I pretty consistently fit well in the shoes. These were definitely much longer then my typical shoe. I had at least a half inch between my big toe and the end of the shoe. The video description also says the heel area is cushiony (paraphrasing) but I didn't feel any real cushion when my heel struck down. These are probably suitable for tennis, but I was hoping to use them for cardio (Insanity/Plyometric) workouts where I was doing a lot of lateral jumping. Since I'm returning them for being too big I'm not really sure how they would feel after jumping a lot.

Great shoe. Very comfortable for the gym. Good support during weight training. I wear a narrow and these were perfect.

I had high hopes for this regular width, but it was still too wide. I typically get New Balance shoes in EE width, but even these D widths had too much room.

These shoes are heavier than I'm used to wearing, but the stability they provide is excellent. I typically wear a 10 EE in New Balance shoes, but it feels like there's just a bit too much slop on the inside. I'm exchanging them for a regular width to see if those fit better.

MUCH narrower than 4E, Left shoe seemed larger than right. Wore them about 5-6 times and don't like.
Seems NB can't make a consistent pair of sneakers anymore! Every pair a different size & width other than marked.
Very frustrating.

I finally decided on these NBs vs. the 700 or 600 series. However, I tried on each of the three series in both 11.5 and 12. I wear a 10.5/11 shoe and always take at least an 11 in my golf shoes. I use to play a lot of tennis but have not in a while and needed a new court shoe as I plan to get into pickleball. I liked the feel of the 600 series but they were a bit too light and I was not sure of the overall and lateral support. Ultimately, I felt that these 800s were a bit more sturdy and I liked that they were leather vs. a synthetic material (both the 600s and the 700s were synthetic). However, I wound up getting them in a size 12 to accommodate a store bought orthotic. NB has always had a more generous width and toe box than say Nike (typically narrow) so their D width works fine for me and my flat feet.

Although these are technically tennis shoes, I play little tennis in them. I mainly use them for walking shoes. I wear a size 16 B and it's hard to find those shoes anywhere. Although New Balance makes various pairs of men's shoes in size 16 B, in my opinion, most of them do not have much style. These 806 shoes have the most style of the type of shoe I'm looking for. The running shoes have style too, but I don't wear those for daily walking due to little lateral support. To be honest, my favorite New Balance shoes are the 1012s. These are no longer being made and I don't see a newer version of them (with associated different model number) being available. Those shoes were a combination of leather and mesh fabric which makes them lighter than the 806s. I believe they were classified as (cross) training shoes. They also came in my desired shoe size. I kept them for about 4 years as I could not find anything else at the time that I was looking for. I wanted a relatively light shoe, good for walking and tennis, with style in my size. The 806s are very close to having it all for me. I just wish there was a version with portions of it being mesh (like the 1012s) to make the shoe a bit lighter and breath better. However, the 806s are the closest I've found to my favorite shoe. The leather construction makes the shoe more stable at the expense of some extra weight. I'm ok with that though. Hopefully we'll get an upgrade of the 1012s in the future. I'd quickly buy a few pairs of those.
