I have used the reliable NB 806 for tennis over many years.
I need the 4E width so was unable to purchase this particular shoe in-store.
The 9 1/2 4E was a tad too big so I ordered the 9 4E on-line right from the store.
I use an gel-insole I buy separately for tennis because of sore feet.
I was informed about the delivery process on-line and the shoes arrived on time at my front door.
Somehow the 9 4E was about half a size too large. I inserted the insoles and tried out the shoe anyway.
It was a stable shoe with good support and a solid feel on the indoor surface.
I used the shoes a couple times to see if I could wear them for tennis but unfortunately they just didn't feel right.
I now have an excellent pair of just slightly too big every day runners and emergency tennis shoes in a pinch.
My bad. Always try 'em on first. I went back to my old shoes.

Only bought these cause it has the rollbar in them. Since the styles changed. It's hard to find them now. They keep the sneaker's steadier.
Hopefully, they put them back into more sneakers. Like they used to have

I have had several pairs of this shoe, the wide model is appreciated. Generally the shoe wears very well, but the tread wears much earlier than the shoe upper. Good value shoe with stability.

On my 3rd pair of 806. Best boating/ fishing shoe I have owned. The "tennis treads" are almost equivalent to my ANSI no-slip work shoes.
One complaint is the inner sole is a wee bit thin. I replace the inner sole with 10 Seconds Insoles for comfort when on the water .

I really wanted women's 806 shoes for tennisbut I wear an 8 1/2 2E and New Balance is not making them at this time! So I went to men's 74E and they fit fine, but I'd really, really like them to restart the 2E's in the 806. New Balance is one of the very few companies that make the wider widths. This is a terrific shoe for those using lateral movement, since it has a stabilizer in it.

I've been wearing this model, and its close predecessors, for 25 years or more. These shoes are HEAVY, but are comforatble and a great fit for my wide feet, with excellent beginning support. However, I have noticed that the build quality of these shoes has declined over the past several years. Sometimes the shoe fit is just a bit odd, though wearable, and the support structure starts to wear down in a month. More importantly, the bottom rubberized layer consistently peels off at the heel after perhaps six weeks of pickleball games, something that NEVER used to happen. I have inquired with customer service but have never received more than an anodyne response. These shoes have served me well, but I'd try another brand if I could find one with a wide fit (the K Swiss wides are not really satisfactory substitutes).

Show felt supportive and moved well, a bit heavy, but not uncomfortable so. Returned to try a half size larger, & will wait to see how they do.

I play pickleball 3 hrs a day, 6 or 7 days a week, outside on a hard surface. These shoes are, by far, the most comfortable shoes that I have worn for pickleball. I would give them a 5 star rating but I only get about 4-5 months wear out of a pair.

I really like the tennis shoes but New Balance needs some variety. In tennis shoes, I had one choice of style and only white. Good shoe, but I wish you had some selections to choose from.

Been wearing NB tennis shoes for a long time...very good shoes. However, these seemed a little large/wider on me than expected.

Love these shoes for tennis, but hard to believe you pay this much and have to immediately replace the insoles!

Size, fit and finish were excellent. A little more arch support would be nice but current support is OK.

I use these as regular, everyday shoes. I have flat, narrow feet. Support, comfort and durability are all great.

I have not had a court shoe for a few years, but I'm now picking up pickle-ball. I have to admit that my choices are very limited because I have narrow feet, so New Balance, and only very few of those, are the only ones available. This is a well-built and good-fitting shoe. I have only just started using them, so I may revise this review after a while, but for now I'm quite satisfied,

I wear a 10.5 Wide or EE in Brooks, Asics, Skechers...and other brands and I pretty consistently fit well in the shoes. These were definitely much longer then my typical shoe. I had at least a half inch between my big toe and the end of the shoe. The video description also says the heel area is cushiony (paraphrasing) but I didn't feel any real cushion when my heel struck down. These are probably suitable for tennis, but I was hoping to use them for cardio (Insanity/Plyometric) workouts where I was doing a lot of lateral jumping. Since I'm returning them for being too big I'm not really sure how they would feel after jumping a lot.

Great shoe. Very comfortable for the gym. Good support during weight training. I wear a narrow and these were perfect.
