Good support but the width seems off I can only wear them for a short while, The length seems fine. I suggest you size up your width, I need a 4E so I am out of luck.

I have purchsed this shoe for many years. My current pair was less than a year old. While playing tennis, the sole broke away from the shoe. My leg was injured. Not able to play for 2 weeks. A tennis partner of mine had two of these break away soles while playing. Is there a quality control issue here? These have always been my go to tennis shoes, but now I hesitate buying another pair.

running on NB 1080s (4E) for years; disappointed that the 4Es for 806s & 1006s are too narrow; almost certain the problem is the leather uppers; mesh upper would be better and allow enough give.

I bought these shoes for pickleball. The women's size 12 was sold out so I bought a mens size 10. Typically Mens shoes are a bit wider but not these. My toes were burning by the time I finished playing and I'm afraid to give them a second chance. Extremely disappointed.

while the back of the shoe is super wide, the toe box is a standard width -- not a 4E, not a 2E not even a W.

Purchased the 806 despite mixed reviews on whether the toe box was wide or not. Unfortunately for me the toe box comes to a point like many other shoes rather than rounded. Maybe I'm the outlier but I've found it very difficult to find a tennis shoe with a more natural rounded toe box. Arch support seems lacking as well.

I've been wearing New balance for years because they off the wider sizes. This shoe was first used on 3/31/21, and I play tennis 2-3 times a week on soft courts. This tear appeared after about 10 weeks (maybe 30 uses), which is not up to the standards of New Balance. I hope this will not be the issue with future New Balance purchases...

The shoes fit well the first three weeks. Since they are leather I expected them to stretch a little bit. They did. Unfortunately, they continued to stretch so much that after 3 weeks they are almost unwearable. I switched to thick Thorlo socks but they stretched even wider. I have never had a nice pair of leather athletic shoes do this. Very dissapointed.

I’ve purchased many NewBalance 8.5 4E shoes and they normally fit well. However, these shoes were may too narrow.... I had to double check that they were really 4E as they felt like “normal” width (so I wondered if Zappos had shipped the right shoes). In addition to the toe box being very narrow, the overall sized seemed about a half size too small. Style wise, these looked good and appeared to be well made (although this is based only on visuals without ever wearing these shoes).

NB should review its stock on this item number to see if the inventory was cut too narrow for a 4 E

Not what I expected. The whole shoe is curved, such that your toes are curled upwards. Not comfortable. No arch support.

Shoe runs small - doesn't fit. That's the problem w/ mail order - same size in another NB shoe fits perfectly.

Nice looking show, but runs really small. Take a look at the 608. Nealy the same and fits well.

These came in a generic brown box and are the most uncomfortable shoes I've bought. They seemed small for the size and had absolutely no cushioning. They are hard as a rock.

Toe box is not the same as previous version. The 10.5 4E toe box narrows. I'm still stuck with my old 801 hoping that New Balance will change back to the original lasts instead of changing factories. There are very few well-constructed (leather) tennis shoes out there

I really do like these shoes, even with their "old man" look, they are super comfortable and stable. I've owned 2 pairs now, and my current pair failed just like the last pair, on the seam at the ball of my right foot. It is strange to have two pairs fail the exact same way. That said, they did last a while (10 months)... I just hate to replace shoes because they come apart. The fact that two failed the same way makes me think it is a design or manufacturing defect...

This pair was slightly tight in the toes, but I feel the next size would have been too big.

I have purchased and been pleased with NB shoes for years. My practice is to find a pair and size I like and then buy a second pair before they stop making that style. My most recent purchase of this style did not work out well. The original size 13 narrow was a great fit and I wore them till the soles were giving out. I switched to the other pair I had in storage....exact same size. They pinched my toes. I gave them a chance to break in but they never did. I am very disappointed that this would happen on my favorite brand of shoe. They have been in storage for over a year so I guess I must eat the loss.

Poor arch support and insole is hard. I ordered 2EE, but shoe is too wide. Not to proper size.
