I use these tennis shoes for basketball because NB no longer makes 4e wide basketball shoes for common people. The shoes are comfortable,supportive and cushiony---

Although these are technically tennis shoes, I play little tennis in them. I mainly use them for walking shoes. I wear a size 16 B and it's hard to find those shoes anywhere. Although New Balance makes various pairs of men's shoes in size 16 B, in my opinion, most of them do not have much style. These 806 shoes have the most style of the type of shoe I'm looking for. The running shoes have style too, but I don't wear those for daily walking due to little lateral support. To be honest, my favorite New Balance shoes are the 1012s. These are no longer being made and I don't see a newer version of them (with associated different model number) being available. Those shoes were a combination of leather and mesh fabric which makes them lighter than the 806s. I believe they were classified as (cross) training shoes. They also came in my desired shoe size. I kept them for about 4 years as I could not find anything else at the time that I was looking for. I wanted a relatively light shoe, good for walking and tennis, with style in my size. The 806s are very close to having it all for me. I just wish there was a version with portions of it being mesh (like the 1012s) to make the shoe a bit lighter and breath better. However, the 806s are the closest I've found to my favorite shoe. The leather construction makes the shoe more stable at the expense of some extra weight. I'm ok with that though. Hopefully we'll get an upgrade of the 1012s in the future. I'd quickly buy a few pairs of those.

This shoe is supposed to be very soft soled and comfortable but it is a very stiff and hard sole shoe. It felt like it was made of a brick it was so stiff and hard on the balls of my feet. May be a great Tennis shoe for some pros but for the average player it was too uncomfortable to wear.

I have bought many pairs of this shoe. Great support, and good quality leather. The 4E shoe feels like a 2E shoe. With a little break in period the leather stretches out and I have enough width. The shoe lacks cushion and has a low arch. It would be nice to have more cushion and a medium arch. I buy insoles to fix this. Will continue to purchase this shoe.

Great stopping and direction changes. I love the stability from the rollbar feature. I think this is my 3rd pair, maybe 4th.

Playing Tennis. The main reason I purchased this shoe I hope the heal will not wear down so fast as my other shoes has.

Bought now the third pair for my son, who plays A LOT OF tennis and loves these. With heavy use they definitely have a limited life span (9-12 months), but worth every dollar!

Unlike my experience with NB tennis shoes in the past, these ran narrow and bit tight overall.

I had to return it because it did not fit, too much room in the front of the shoe

I play tennis daily on a clay court. These shoes have helped my game and my feet.

I started playing Tennis when I was 68 years young. I have been using only NB Tennis shoes since then. I am now 83 years young and still using only NB. I usually purchase a pair at least one time a year. Keep up the good work NB

Would have been used for tennis, had I ordered the correct size. I have worn this shoe since it was the `800 and NB was out of my size I tried to use a EE but really needed a EEEE, NB could not have treated me any better reguarding my return.

These shoes are comfortable, true size and looks fashionable.

I'm old school and love a leather upper. Extremely comfortable, and super supportive. Interestingly, this model is actually lighter than the 1006 mesh upper model. I'm on my 3rd pair and will likely buy them again. The only negative is sole wear...lasting about 8 -10 months. But, I play either tennis or pickleball 3-5 times a week, year-round, so I suppose that is somewhat expected. I've documented the wear, and New Balance has generously provided a discount on my next purchase. Great shoe, great customer service!

Fit well with great comfort. Couldn't have a better tennis shoe.

I use this shoe for cross-training. The stability support is excellent. I have a narrow foot, and have been slowly trying all of the narrow width styles. This one would rank a repeat!!

I wear these shoes when playing Pickleball on indoor courts.

The New Balance 806 is the best tennis shoe; durable, comfortable and provides great support. Is that why it's never on sale?!
