I'm in love! These boots are absolutely gorgeous! The color is nearly exact from what is shown in the pictures, but even more beautiful in person! I own another pair of Jane 14L's (brown oiled suede), and had to get another pair when I saw the color (redwood). Just a great boot, beautiful leather. Very comfortable. Can be worn all day without hurting your feet. No need to break these boots in - they're ready to wear! I'm tall and have larger calves (probably 15 1/2" to 16") so I really love the Jane - they fit absolutely perfect. These redwood extended are even a tad bit more roomier in the calf (which is great) then my other pair of Jane's which are bit more snug. If you have larger calves, these boots are for you! Worth every penny!

I've never left a review anywhere but just had to on these! Love this boot! Seriously looked at all the Frye boots forever on Zappos. I first ordered the Frye Trapunto, loved the look but just didn't fit right, maybe too flat for me. My calves are 14 1/2 and they did fit, but not great and they were a little slouchy in the front and that bothers me. So sent them back and continued to look and found these amazing boots that have the same detail on the top as the Trapunto boot. They have just enough heel and are nice and roomy in the calf area, but not overly. Just enough space to tuck in skinny jeans or wear with shorts or skirts. They do not slouch, they are nice and tall, and the dark brown is such a beautiful color. They are rugged and girlie looking at the same time. Love them! They arrived yesterday and I can't wait to wear them today!

I tried the extended calf Jane Stitch 14L in brown. For reference, I wear a 10 in most shoes, but a 9 or 9.5 in Merrells for some reason. My calves are 17 inches. I tried the 10 in this boot, but it was too big -- I think a 9 would be better. The calves did fit, however! Not a ton of room, but some. I don't know if they would fit in a 9, but I'll try. I also tried a Jane style in an ankle boot, and the 9 fit better, so I'm hoping a 9 in these would work, even if I have to get the calf stretched.

Brilliant. This boot goes with everything. Great heel height, great toe shape, incredible patina.

The fit is perfect. I ordered an 8 and they were true to size. They look great over and under my jeans. My friend who had a pair also just wore them under a long silk dress and they looked fantastic. The color goes great with everything. I highly recommend them. Worth every penny.

These boots are beautiful and I was sad to return them. The circumference was big enough for my calves, but I could not get my foot past the ankle part. From looking at the quality of the boots, I could tell that these would last a lifetime and are worth the price! If only I could put my foot in!

I have been looking for this boot all my life to say I love this boot. This boot seems well made and is the most comfortable boot I have ever put on my feet. The heel is perfect - not so high as to make them difficult to walk in and yet high enough to give a great look.

These are my new favorite boots! They are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. I did notice some color wear as others mentioned, but a round of saddle soap and mink oil fixed that. I highly recommend getting a tin of mink oil to treat them when you get them. It will waterproof them and keep them from fading out. Another detractor that people in snowy climates should know about: they don't have much traction on the bottom, so you'll have to scuff the soles. With proper care, though, I'm hoping to keep these boots for a long, long time.

These boots are beautiful. I was worried they would be too tall since I am only 5'2''. The shaft fits well. They are tight to the calves but still very easy to have jeans tucked in. The only problem I have is my heel lifts a bit. I ordered another pair hoping for a better fit in the heel but they are exactly the same. I’m still trying to decide whether to keep them. I might try the strappy style.

I was looking for a cute, but comfortable, tall boot, but I was worried that getting Frye's would result in pain. I was wrong! These boots are super cute (I get so many compliments) and they're comfortable! I have the Veronica slouches, which are cute, but really uncomfortable. The Jane's are so comfortable. I'm on my feet for 7 hours a day and these boots support me through every minute of it. I have wide calves, wide feet, and high arches. These fit perfectly and true to size. Love them!

These boots go with everything. Ordered a 7 1/2 medium and they fit very well, I have room for thicker sock than I had expected, which is great. Love the beat up look and color. Works great with leggings, jeans or skirts!

Best boots ever! These are my 2nd pair of Frye boots and they are amazing! They have just enough heel to be sexy but are extremely comfortable. They look great with skinny jeans and dresses/skirts. The only downfall is that they are hard to get on, my other Frye's were also so I wasn't surprised. But once they are on, they are smokin'.

I love these boots. They are incredibly comfortable. Although the ankle is a bit roomy, the calves fit wonderfully over my chunky little legs. I have worn these every day since I got them (full disclosure- this was last week) and my feet have rarely felt better.

I LOVE these boots! They fit true to size and are extremely comfortable. They go well with skinny jeans, dresses, and skirts. I have athletic calves and these boots are perfect for me. I can even comfortably tuck in my skinny jeans without my calves feeling squished. Gorgeous boots and well worth the price! The stitching is beautiful! Buy them, you won't regret it! Worth the investment and I'm sure you'll have them for a long, long time!

The boots are perfect! much darker than I expected, but I like them better this way. I had bought the suede brown style, but the ankles feel because the leather was thin. Zappos was kind enough to exchange them for me, wonderful customer service.

Darn! I really wanted to not like these boots because of the cost, but it was love at first try-on. I have some other Frye boots that all feel larger than they are sized, but these fit true to size. I am a runner and have the calves to show for it, and these boots fit very nicely without being too loose. I have the Taupe color, which is a lovely, rich, spicy brown. I wore these with skinny jeans on a downtown shopping trip the first day I got them. Not only were they comfortable right out of the box for lots and lots of walking, but I got so many compliments on them! These are my favorite Fryes by far.

I have always heard great things about Frye products and these boots live up to all the tales! Besides the fact that they are extremely comfortable and feel like they are molded to your foot, they can go with jeans, skirts, dresses - just about anything. These will be a long time staple in my shoe wardrobe.

Love these boots. I typically wear a size 7 or 7 1/2 and ended up with the larger of the two. They are so comfortable and cute. You will not be sorry.

Beautiful boots! And they are comfortable for the most part. They don't pinch or rub and don't need hardly if any breaking in time. But I didn't find them all that comfortable when walking or standing for more then a few minutes. This may be due to the fact there isn't a lot of padding in the ball of the foot. I purchased them in the plum/reddish color that doesn't seem to be offered anymore. Oh, and they run a little big. I would say order 1/2 smaller or true to size just depends. I normally wear 9 in most of my Frye boots. This is the only one out of four that is 8 1/2. Don't take my comfort level too close to heart. Everyone's feet are different and I have found that often I am one of the only one that seems to have discomfort with shoes and boots a lot of people find comfortable.

Words really cannot describe how much I love these boots, and want to wear them every day, in spite of the dozen-plus pair of boots that I own. They are perfectly comfortable, and I can walk in them all day on concrete with no problem - I have even worn them to concerts where I'm standing all night, and my feet still feel awesome! They go with everything, fit perfectly over skinny jeans, and can still look amazing with a skirt and tights and with a blazer - can be suitable for work! I am a boot and shoe fanatic, and literally this is the best boot purchase I may have ever had.

These are the best boots! I absolutely love them, and would wear them to bed if I was sure my husband wouldn't object! They are of the highest quality, and look fantastic with jeans or tights and a short skirt. Color and style are beautiful. They are very comfy - walked around the city for 2 or 3 hours in them with no problem. If you are looking for a nice pair of boots, you've found them!

Love these boots! I've recently become a Frye Fan and there's no going back. These boots are super comfy, flattering, sexy and just plain cool. I've gotten so many compliments from men and women. They are timeless!
