I wish Zappos would show the European sizing next to the American sizing. I wear a size 39 or an 8.5 medium. The European sizing is always much more accurate for me. So when I received these and saw that they were a 39.5, I had a feeling I'd be returning them. Unless you wear a very thick sock with these, your heel may slip, and that's a deal breaker for me. They are beautiful and felt very comfy. I'm trying a size 8, which I never wear.

I am so very rarely pleased by an apparel purchase, but I think to myself daily how happy I am that I sprung for these boots. They are very easy to get in and out of due to the back zipper, and it has a flap of fabric to protect your heel/ankle from the zipper. They are fairly stylish and a good compromise between a winter boot and an office/fashion boot. The arch support is great. They might run 1/4 -1/2 size large, but I wear them with thin socks. If you wear thicker socks, they will probably be true to size. I'm really happy I purchased these boots!

Comfortable boot! Excellent arch support and great for walking. Felt like I could walk in them for hours without getting tired.

Love these boots, they look great with jeans. Very comfortable, and the zipper in back makes these easy to put on and take off. There is a slight issue with the color around the toe fading, but that's the only negative to these shoes.

I love these boots! I ordered a half size larger than my normal size to accommodate thick winter socks. They felt true to size, so I had plenty of room. My toes didn’t feel crowded at all. The wine size also felt like a true wide shoe. They were comfortable right out of the box and the arch support is amazing.

These are so comfortable and I and still am recovering from 2 fractured metatarsals. I have a hard time with shoes and boots. 10's can be too small, 11 can be too big and I have narrow heel and shallow foot. These are so perfect, that I ordered a pair as a gift and I am seriously considering another pair!!

Most comfortable boots right out of the box. Style is awesome. Looks great with leggings and skinny jeans. Also looks good with boot toppers. Great boot for running errands and attending outdoor events. My new favorite go to boot!

I’m always self-conscious that boots make my feet look huge. After ordering three other pairs of boots and returning them for that same reason, I came across these. They don’t make your feet look big, but rather look very low profile and compact. Not bulky at all! The level of comfort is unprecedented - they are soft on the inside and the sole is flexible. Don’t require any breaking in! I was concerned that the rear zipper would be felt and would cause blisters but am pleasantly surprised that it didn’t. I love how easy it makes putting the boots on and taking them off. I haven’t tried them in rain or wet weather yet but if they leak, I’ll use some waterproofing sprays because all the other waterproof boots are so bulky and clunky. In 40F/4C weather they feel warm outside but don’t get your feet sweaty when you get indoors. Love them!!!

I love these boots. They are comfortable right out of the box, very stylish, and easy to get on and off. The lining is warm and the heel height is just right. They look great with jeans. I have the grey boots with red zipper in the back, and just love, love, love them.

Exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable shoes are critical for me - because of some foot and knee issues. Many shoes classified as "comfort" are still not good enough for me. Thank you to Zappos for easy ordering and returns, as it took me three tries before I found these. These boots (I bought black) were comfortable immediately. They do not put any bad pressure on my toes, and they are cushioned enough to keep my knee happy. I found them to be true to size ... because I am a size 10.5 and that doesn't exist, I got an 11. Roomy but I like to wear thick wool socks and so the fit is fine. Nice and roomy in the toe area. I laced them tight for support. Nice to have the zipper to make them easy on/off. Beyond comfort - these boots LOOK great! I might buy another color!

I have had these boots in gray for two years and love them, but I wear them so much that I thought I should get another pair so they will last longer. The red is very nice, not too bright, but still makes a statement, but I decided red just didn't go with enough of my clothes. I wish they had the teal in my size!

I love these boots. They’re cute and love that you can remove the liner to insert orthotics. I also never had boots that zipped up on the back of the heel and I find it’s much easier than boots with the inner side zipper.

i have very wide flintstone type feet. used to wear 8.5 but started ordering 9, then wides to compensate. however these were truly wide enough that an 8.5 with the wide is good, which is surprising since I haven’t bought a pair of 8.5 shoes in about 8 years. GREAT feature is the back zipper AND full lace front - so you can lace to fit, and then easy on easy off with the zipper on the back. super comfortable could walk all day in city or take a hike in the woods. im returning the 9 and keeping 8.5 wides. excellent!

Loved the color of the green leather. The leather is soft and moves freely. I just can’t get on board with the combat boot height. So back they went.

Best boots I've bought in a long time - super comfy and stylish

Loved this boot! It was not dressy enough for what I needed, and at this price point, I couldn't keep just because it was cute. But it was very cute and comfortable!

This shoe is amazing! I was worried that the medium width would be a little tight since I'm in between medium/wide. I was wrong! Snug enough to not strangle your toes, but enough space for them to rest comfortably next to one another. I work as a barista, and these beat doc Martens any day! they kept my feet/toes happy all day and the arch support is the best thing ever! Don't hesitate, buy these babies! Oooh, what's even better than a comfy shoe? No break in period!

Hands down, the best pair of boots that I've ever worn. I'm writing this review almost four years after purchasing them in a brick and mortar store. I have worn them on sidewalks, dog walking, farm work ....you name it. I have put so many miles on these boots, and the only complaint in almost 4 years of wear is that the zipper broke. When I took them in to be repaired, even the cobbler said "wow, what great boots!" I have an old foot injury as well as bunions, and really have a difficult time getting comfortable shoes. I can't say enough good things about these boots. I am back after 4 years just to buy one more pair because I'm so afraid that they're not going to be available when (and if) they ever wear out.

I was tired of my cheap "fashion boots" falling apart after only a couple months, so I've been trying to upgrade to a nice pair of boots that will actually last. Unfortunately, I have problem feet. Size 11 Wides are already hard to find. Add a reoccurring metatarsal stress fracture, on-and-off foot swelling, repeatedly sprained ankles, and the occupational need to stand/walk all day long to the mix and I'm lucky if I find something I can lace my foot into, let alone comfortably walk in on a daily basis.I tried Timberlands, but the extremely narrow foot beds of the "Wide" width boots made my feet go numb and pinky toes feel like they were perpetually hanging over the edge of a cliff. The Doc Martens I ordered we're so painful across my upper foot I couldn't even stand up! I returned every pair of shoes/boots I've ordered over the last few months. I grew accustomed to constant foot discomfort. I was giving up hope. I'm so glad I tried Rockport Cobb Hill Collection based on someone's recommendation.These boots just arrived today and were comfortable straight out of the box!!! The toe box is actually wide enough for my foot and provides enough room to wiggle my toes! My pinky toes are trying to normalize to NOT being pinched into ill-fitting boots or dangling over the edge of the foot bed. I don't have to wear my boot laces so loose the side of the tongue peaks out. The interior fabric feels like pure luxury. And the heel is a solid piece that doesn't look like it will peel off after a week. I. Am. Thrilled. Thank you, thank you, a hundred times THANK YOU, Rockport shoes! I could cry from sheer happiness.
