I have these in black and came back for gray leather. The color is almost taupe so I opted for the Becky which is a truer gray. Love the footbed and arch support in these shoes and I wear them daily from September to May in New England! I got my original pair 3 years ago and they are still going strong. Excellent quality.

Love these boots. I’ve got a wonky screw in my foot, but can wear these all day. That’s saying something. They work for cursing around the city and I can still kind of get away with them for work. I bought them in black. It’s a pretty true black.

Fabulous!!! I want to order another pair in a different color.

Love, love, love these boots! I would have given them 6 stars. These may be the best fitting boots I have every worn. I do not need my orthotic inserts, the arch cushioning is perfect for my feet. I had thought by feeling with my hand that the insole felt hard, but it does not at all. I wore them all day the first time. The leather and the lining are wonderfully soft. I just hope they hold up. I have never had boots with a zipper, as I've always worn cowboy boots. Another reviewer mentioned the leather of these boots scuff easily. I imagine that is so, as it is wonderfully soft. Polish. People used to polish their shoes all the time. I have already coated these with Kiwi brand mink oil, which is helpful to keep the leather protected in rain.

This is a fantastic boot. I normally wear a 10.5 wide. Since they didn't have that, I went with 11 M. I pulled out their nice padding in the bottom and put in my orthotic. With wool socks, my feet are totally comfortable. My ankles are warm and my toes have room. Thank you Rockport.

So happy with these! The long search for good work boots is over. I ordered my normal size in 8M (narrow), and my foot feels perfectly snug. I can still wear slightly thicker socks for winter, and in warmer months a thinner version will work equally as great. The leather is softer in person than it might appear online, and I love the look that the sole is a dark grey rather than black. The shaft is a little taller than I'd normally like, but since they fit so comfortably, I don't mind at all. Adjusted the laces to fit my foot, and now easy zip on/off! Woohoo!! The tread is nice, and works great on slippery/watery surfaces, and the sole bends with my foot (I found some soles to be too thick and they felt flat footed, which is fatiguing on your feet all day).

So comfy!!! These are soft, flexible and cute. I got black, and they go well with a skirt or jeans. Walking for miles is not a problem. The only wish is if it was waterproof, but I am very happy overall. I am a true size 7 with slightly wide feet, and the 7 Wide worked out perfectly.

This is a classic look lace up boot but with back zip entry too. The suede is very soft and the sole is quite cushioned and seems like it will have good traction. The laces make the fit somewhat adjustable and it fits my narrow ankles well. I ordered the wide width and it's wide enough at the front foot and not too sloppy wide at the heel. I think this will work with skirts as well as jeans. It's not dressy, but more sleek looking than a moto style boot--it's not clunky at all.

Love these boots - wore them all day straight out of the box! They are a tad generous in size but that will work well with thicker socks when it’s cold!

I’m rotating between three pairs of boots because I loved them all! This is one of those three. So comfortable and stylish. I’ve been able to wear them with leggings, jeans, and casual dress pants. I wear a 6.5 and they fit great!

Comfy and cute! These fit my feet like gloves right out of the box. I got black but now I’m tempted to get one more in a different color :-)

Love the comfort. I am an 11 wide which lately has not been fitting, many times still too narrow in the toe box. These, however, are perfect. They are soft and as easy to walk in as my sneakers. They have lots of support under the ball of the foot, which I need. My style tends to be towards more elegant and classy, trendy shoes but I need comfort so this sort of rugged militaristic look will be okay for casual wear with jeans. I love this brand so much that I went back and found all the 11 wides I could and ordered them.

These shoes are great!! I took them on a trip prior to breaking them in and didn't have any problems walking 5-7 miles a day with them right out of the box! They are super comfortable, and on really cold days I've even opted walking around with these instead of my athletic shoes.

I found this boot remarkable, comfortable when it went on and comfortable all day long...so unusual that there was no "breaking in." And the first time I wore it I had to forge through snow and slush and it was perfect. My only objection is the completely superfluous zipper up the back -- which seems undependable to me. The zipper is stiff and cranky and I don't trust it. So, rather than risk the zipper breaking, I take it on and off by lacing and unlacing. Other than the silly zipper which seems a concession to fashion, this is quite a wonderful boot for a very reasonable price.

This is such a comfortable boot. And the back zipper makes it extremely easy to get in and out of. Also a very nice looking boot. I got the stone color and it’s a great neutral color.

Reading the old reviews, I was most worried about the zipper quality. But the zipper is NOT plastic and appears good quality. It is a little tricky to zip up, but that may be more the odd angle than the zipper itself. It doesn’t get stuck and it is a very easy way to get the boots on and off. The quality was great overall. I normally wear a 7.5W and ordered he boots in 8W. Perfect fit, even with thick socks. I was a little concerned on the color, as the toes of the boots looked to be a little worn. But the boots show no other signs of being pre-owned and the leather shows no scuffs. I’m guessing that the color difference was intentional, but it’s really hard to see from the pictures. It’s just a little bit darker. I wish there was a little more support in the shoe, but that’s easy enough to fix!

I have now worn these boots for 2 years regularly. I have both in Stone and Black. With these 2 colors, they match everything I wear. They are the perfect footwear here in the Midwest and I get compliments all the time in our college town. Very comfortable for walking and have never hurt my feet. Accommodates many foot sizes and sock thicknesses due to the laces and zippered back. I sometimes flip my socks over the top an inch for different looks. My go to footwear so happy they are still available!

I have very wide feet and a very high arch, so I typically go with leather boots because they flex comfortably over time. The Wide is actually wide compared to other brands, and fit well even with thick socks. The laces seem a little thin, but makes customizing the fit easy. I love the zipper for easy on/off, and the sole seems durable so far. I will say the insole is pretty hard, so not overly comfy if you’re really walking in them—but I also took them on a chilly hike on day one so my feet would’ve hurt anyway… happy with these so far! Great boots for the price.

Purchased the Rockport Cobb Hill Bethany last year. Finally took them out of the box for a recent trip to Paris, France. What fabulous shoes for walking! We averaged more than 10 miles per day, and my feet did not hurt at all. The back zip is great for both going through airport security and giving your feet some breathing room on the plane without removing the shoes. All in all, a great purchase and would buy again!

Extremely comfortable, like all Rockports, and they look really cute. Only downside is that the only black option is a matte leather. I'm on my feet all day as a teacher and they give great support.

This IS a great boot ...however I sent mine back after finding out that I like the NorthFace Ballard style/fit better on my problem feet. I have ordered several pairs of North Face because I like the true rubber sole, if I do a comparison. Do order these though if you like the photo...they are a cute sturdy boot.

My favorite boots, and I've tried on a lot. Comfortable, stable, and look good, with a higher shaft than most comparable boots. Be aware the wide unfortunately runs a little narrow for Rockport Cobb Hills, but they do stretch some. The white stitching on the black leather is an odd choice, but the Almond and Stone especially are attractive neutrals that are unusual to find in this kind of style. (The fancier colors, unfortunately, don't come in Wide.)

I have had these boots in black for more than two years and was pleased that they are still available so I could order them in stone (which turns out to be a great color). I am normally a 10.5 or 11, but the black ones fit me in a 10M. However, they have always felt just a bit narrow, so I ordered the stone in a 10W and a 10M to see which is better. The 10W was a comfortable width but was a full half inch longer than the 10M, making it far too large. I am now considering a 9.5W to see whether it is a better fit than the 10M. I know these are very comfortable boots with great arch support, as I wore the black ones on a European trip and walked many miles in them. Just keep in mind that the fit is skewed and order down. And if you order a W, try dropping the size even more.
