Love these! I'm 5'7 140 lbs and the extended calf was great. I originally ordered a 10 but returned for a 9.5. I might've been able to go to a 9, but my feet get bigger with each pregnancy. I can easily wear leggings or jeans with them.

I have been searching for a long time for a pair of brown riding boots that fit me and I finally found them! They are beautiful and of very good quality. I am short (5'1") and these come just below my knee...not too high. I also have thicker calves so I ordered the extended calf which provided just enough extra room to fit with skinny jeans. They look great! Very happy and look forward to wearing them many years to come.

These boots are worth the price. I was hesitant to spend the money at first, but when the boots arrived I knew I had made the right choice. The color (I purchased black) and leather quality are like no other boots. I purchased the extended calf and they fit perfect. They were difficult to slip on the first couple times I wore them, but now my foot slides right in the boot with no problem. Worth the money, especially when they are over $100 off.

Love these boots!! Casual and stylish. I got the extended calf and they were a bit tight at first but stretched out after a wearing a few times. Highly recommed. Great Quality.

These are beautiful, well made boots. I purchased them in black and they look just like the picture with a nice matte leather. In my search to find a boot for a wide calf, I read all the reviews trying to see how others sizing compared with mine. I will list my measurements with the hope that it may help some of you trying to decide if this boot will fit you. Age 59- therefore my calves are a bit flabby, however I am a walker. Height 5'4- The boot sits 2inches below my knee which is perfect. My widest calf measures 14 7/8. FYI, my left calf is only 14 1/2 so make sure you measure both calves. I am able to pull these boots over a pair of skinny jeans. It was not a struggle, but there is no extra room. Size 9-My foot is barely a 9 so these were true to size. Plenty of room in the toe. I have a medium width foot with a very slight bunion and it is fine. I have a high arch and I had no problem pulling them on. I had a bit of a slip in the ankles with nylon footies. My husband has custom boots and was told that an ankle slip is normal until your foot & boot conform. I wore them with a lighter weight cotton knee high and they were comfortable with no slip. They would be too tight with a heavy sock. These are a riding boot so you are not going to find comfortable arch support or cushion. They do wrinkle a bit at the ankle but it doesn't rub or affect comfort. I have only worn these for one full rainy Seattle day. They were comfortable, my feet did not hurt by the end of the day and after walking through multiple puddles my feet stayed dry and the leather looks great.

This is my second review for these boots, and it's still 5 stars! My first pair was the polished cognac and my new pair is the slate color. The slate color is gorgeous and I like that they're more matte compared to my cognac pair. They do require some break in, which I expected, but they're not painful or anything out of the box. They're just a bit stiff and the heel slips for a couple of wears. So glad Frye makes these in a wide calf. Hopefully they'll start making more styles in the extended calf.

I have the Cognac Antiqued/Polished. Not my first color choice, but I couldn't pass up the price. They are gorgeous! I have very muscular calves and being only 5ft tall, it's hard to find boots to fit right around my 15.5 inch calves when I need a size 5 or 5.5 shoe. I was skeptical these were going to fit, but they do! They're pretty comfortable from day one, but they break in over just a few wears and form to your foot and heel. I love them so much that I've already ordered the Slate color and will probably be adding more colors to my collection if I don't bankrupt myself first!

My second favorite frye boot! Cute for dresses and jeans alike. Wider in calf than the melissa button w zip back. Slightly narrow almond toe. Has a slight western feel but not over the top western style like some frye boots.

I'm absolutely in love with these boots. The leather feels and smells amazing, the style is extremely classic and they are great boots for fall. I am normally an 8.5 and had to get a size 9 in these because it was too hard to get them over my large calf even with the extended calf.

I absolutely love these boots. One, Frye boots are always awesome. Worth the price every time. Two, these look amazing. Three, the fit is good. And not to be missed...the leather smells amazing. I wanted the Melissa zip but wouldn't work with my calves.

I got these boots for my daughter. She tried them in the regular calf but they were too tight. The extended calf fit her well. Her calf measured 15½". These are beautiful boots and the leather is soft.

For years I could not find boots, and this year I found two. I would agree that these are not true wide calf boots, but they are just fine on my athletic calves, though I do not think that I will be getting jeans in there very easily. I love the shape of the shaft, which means they do not gap away at the top so much. Like most Fryes, these felt fabulous for five minutes, terrible for several hours, and now are starting to feel like my boots. The bordeaux is a beautiful, very deep color. These run big; I had to go down a half size from my usual Frye fit.

These boots are awesome. Feels like high quality leather. I wish they had a zipper other than that wouldn't change a thing.
