These are the boots that you simply splurge on bc you can't top them. They're gorgeous, break in easily and the look is absolutely classic. I absolutely recommend them!

This boot really stretches in the calf. They were a bit snug when they arrived but now fit very well. First boots I've found that fit without a zipper.

I bought these boots at the beginning of the winter, and they've held up really well. I oiled them to resist the rain -- mine are black so it didn't affect the color -- and I think that's was a good move.

Expensive but, I had to have them! and i'm glad I did...i get so many complements.

I mean honestly a review is not even needed - I think everybody knows that these boots are awesome! They are super comfortable and I would wear them every day if I could - makes me ready for fall again!

I bought these boots a couple months ago and I haven't regretted it yet! Best quality and so comfy!! These boots literally go with any outfit and are well worth the investment!

I bought these shoes in black almost exactly a year ago and have worn them almost every day since. They are beautiful on, make every outfit look elegant (including my yoga leggings somehow), and are very comfortable even after 12 hours on my feet. To my disappointment, the lining in the inside of the heel ripped about 2 weeks ago so I called customer service. They were luckily still covered under warranty (it'd been 51wks), they promptly sent me a shipping label to send my old ones back, and gave me store credit once they determined the lining couldn't be replaced. At first I was angry that the lining ripped on such expensive shoes and was going to get an unlined pair as the replacement. I was also disappointed they couldn't be fixed because they were so perfectly worn in. But considering how good the customer service was, and how great of a boot it was even for 51 weeks, I decided to get the exact same pair. Reflecting, some things I did may have led to the tear. 1) I'm between an 8.5 and a 9. The original pair was an 8.5 and I would often have to yank the boot off at the end of the day due to my feet swelling (especially in the summer). 2) My heel would often get stuck if I wasn't wearing a tall sock (they'd roll under my foot) to the point where I would need help getting the boot off due to the skin on leather friction. I know caused the lining to stretch. So for the new pair I ordered a 9 and have vowed to myself to only wear tall socks with them. As a side thought, I would describe myself as a person who "has sticks for legs" as some of the other reviewers have called us, and the wide doesn't seem that wide to me as a heads up for anyone who may have more athletic calves (I'm 5'10" 130lbs for reference). The original pair was purchased in a wide because that was all that was in stock. There is definitely extra room in the calf, but so much room that I didn't want the wide this go-around. I hope this review is helpful for anyone on the fence about this boot or about The Frye Company in general . I haven't received my new pair yet, and I'll certainly amend my five star review if a tear happens again despite the new precautions.

I have wanted these boots for years and I'm happy to say my purchase lived up to my expectations! They are gorgeous. I'm glad I decided to go with extended calf. I measured my calfs the best I could and they were 15-15&1/2 approximately. These are perfect! I can wear them over leggings and jeans and they are not too tight (but not too big either). The length runs pretty true to size in my opinion but if you are in between sizes, I would go to the larger 1/2 size. These boots are so high quality and just beautiful. I'm so happy I finally splurged to get them!

I searched and searched for the perfect brown boot and finally found it! Love them. Great color, super comfortable. Have received lots of compliments.

Fit great, look great! The leather is nice and soft. I have a muscular calf and find it hard to fit tall boots, but the wide calf were perfect. They didn't gap at the top and look great.

Fit like a glove. Second pair. Never going back. I'll be wearing these when I'm 85.
