These shoes seemed very comfortable & could be worn with jeans or dress slacks - IF they were actually navy. They're more of a dark cornflower blue. Might be great if you're looking for a "light" navy, but for a true navy, keep looking.

This is the second pair of flats I have tried. I wore them for a week. They have the best arch support in a flat shoe you can find. I loved them from the moment I put them on. Very stylish and comfortable at first. But I had to return. This shoe was hurting my toes too much. The only brand that won me over were hush puppies.

These are cute, basic ballet flats and since they're Born, I know they would last forever. Unfortunately, the arch support was not as great as I had hoped for. In the photos, they appear to have much greater support than most flats but my feet didn't feel it. Also, the right heel kept slipping, causing the shoe to rub and irritate. Overall, they're decent flats that provide a little more support than most but for $85, they're just not that great.

Felt really good right out of the box and were fine for an office job where there's a decent amount of sitting. However, after wearing them a couple of times, I took them on a trip to San Francisco where I spent a good part of a day walking around and these felt like mini torture machines. I'd discovered previously that there's a weird seam in the back that rubs right along the achilles, so I put cushioned pads in - still developed and burst blisters. And the toe box leather just hasn't stretched out through use, so even though it didn't blister big/little toes, they were so compressed by the end of the day I felt like I was wearing pointe shoes. Lovely style and I'll still wear them for shorter and less active periods, but would not recommend if you're likely to be walking a lot.

I'm always hunting for a flat I can walk in all day. (Vince Camuto's are still my best find.) I had high hopes for the Julianne but had to return them. They are very well made but had a few flaws. Another reviewer expressed concern about the softness of the leather, and I would agree that they probably wouldn't be difficult to scuff, though the materials are beautiful out of the box. I ordered the dark brown full grain in a size 6. I am petite, with long toes and flat feet. Size 6 flats pretty much always fit me in length and width, but the pointier ones squeeze my toes in a painful way. The toe bed in these fit perfectly: not too snug, minimal wiggle room, no excess "cleavage". I realize that "flats" usually have flat soles, but I thought these would be better padded. There's minimal padding in the sole, and what they're calling arch support is a little lump of a pad that didn't seem to reach high enough to support my low arches. When breaking in new flats, I usually wear a bandage on the back of my heal to avoid blisters from that little ridge. As you can see in the pictures, they added a soft strip of suede (?) to the heal which eliminates that gripping ridge. No need for the bandage, but the heal kept slipping off my foot! I could've dealt with the other issues, as they are common in even the best shoes, but if I want my shoes to flop I'll wear sandals, and that's why they went back. Customer service was great, as usual.

I think these shoes are very pretty, and delicate, looking. They are very stylish and would look good with a variety of clothes. However, I am middle aged and need more supportive, comfortable shoes. These feel like I'm walking barefoot so I'll be replacing them with a pair of flats with a removable sole so I can use my orthotics (I didn't realize that was a choice when I ordered these). These would have been a great shoe for a younger me with better feet.

I ordered a half size up, due to all of the reviews. The size was a bit large, I should have stayed with my actual size. Comfort wise, these felt AMAZING. Looks wise....not so amazing. They were very unflattering.

These shoes were very uncomfortable in the heel and gave me blisters despite wearing them in gradually.

Be wary of the color! The shoe color online looks very purplish, but when they arrived, they looked very brown, not even remotely berry, purple, eggplant, burgandy or even maroon.

Really cute but not comfortable. Very high in the back, they rub my ankles raw. The elastic is also very rough and very tight.

I loved this shoe in another color I got, but the grey pair they sent me was clearly worn before - the right shoe was all stretched out and the toe was scuffed.

I wear a size 11, and this shoe reminded me of the wicked stepsisters on Cinderella when I put it on. My wide foot clashed with the narrow style of the shoe.

Try as I may, these are not comfortable for any long period of time. I've come to the conclusion it's the elastic around the perimeter. Becomes tighter the longer you wear them (feet swelling) and doesn't give with more wearings.

At first I like these shoes, but after I wore them for a day my feet were killing me. My toes were the most sore. I thought my normal size 8 was a perfect fit, and I felt that a bigger size might slip up and down. Not sure now if I should've gone up a 1/2 size. Regret keeping them.

While I liked these little flats, I ended up going with a low heel style. They were good shoes but nothing super fantastic. They were supportive which was nice with my high arches.

Tried this on in a store in 8.5, it felt short so ordered a 9. While long enough, the leather smashed down on the top of my big toes - was not comfortable and I'm not willing to wear them hoping they will soften to fit my foot. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9 - sometimes in narrow. The width of the shoe was fine for me - cute shoe but had to return.

This is my second pair in about three years of this shoe. Loved first pair so much I actually wore a hole in it! So comfortable, and a great neutral color (gray). I ordered a replacement pair in navy, in the same size (9.5), and they were too small. So I went up a size to 10, and went back to gray. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED! Even at a half-size bigger, the shoes are rubbing the back of my heels raw. I feel the quality of the sole isn't as good either; I am not happy with the lighter color. Born used to be my go-to brand of shoes, I'm not sure if that's the case any longer.

I was swayed by others reviews that the leather would stretch some and the shoe would become comfortable. I'll say that flats are my nemesis. I have slightly wide feet and high arches. I kept these shoes at work for a week and wore during the day to try to break in. I worked the leather, trying to stretch. I was confident that the other reviewers with wider feet hadn't led me astray. They did. If I could stretch out the top portion of the shoe, I'm still left with a heel piece that comes up too high and rubs. Overall, a loser for me. Cute shoe though. I'm sad I didn't send it back.

Nice, attractive shoe. I need shoes with a wide toe box and narrow heel. The regular width fit well in both regards. Unfortunately they don't have enough heel padding or arch support for a lot of walking and the navy color is not navy; it's lighter than that so I'm returning.

These are completely comfy, and a great color when they first arrive. However as soon as they get wet or barely worn, the color starts wearing off. I've only had them for the summer and the toes of the shoes look awful. They're not just scuffed, it's like the color has just disappeared. Very comfy shoe, maybe a different color would last longer?

Runs small and doesn't have any arch support.

the back of this shoe gave me immediate blisters (it has a very high back). I will need to wear bandages for weeks and hope this helps....otherwise expensive mistake.

First of all, let me say it's a really pretty shoe and I was sad I had to return it. I always have problems buying shoes - either the back of foot gets rubbed or my little toe. These shoes do both... The shoe feels really stiff when you put it on and I wasn't able to wear for longer than 5 minutes...

I REALLY wanted these shoes - so much so that I purchased a pair in black and a pair in tan. I loved the look - a basic, goes with anything style. Excited to wear them out, I slipped them on and felt they fit nicely - snug enough that they wouldn't slip off my heel, yet not so snug that they hurt anywhere. Unfortunately, after wearing them for only about an hour, the top edge of the heel created blisters, and the leather on the inside of the shoe rubbed my pinky toes. Since they've been worn outside the home I am stuck with them, so will have to find a way to wear them without destroying my feet. I absolutely LOVE the color of the tan pair, but they are sitting in my closet while I decide whether or not to endure suffering, or return them.
