This is the first pair of Mizuno's I've had and I'm in love. After spending much time on the Mizuno website, this is one that was recommended. I just finished my first half marathon in them and am very pleased. I'm ordering the lavender pair next. I wear a size up in running shoes.

I love this shoe. My foot measures a 7.5 and I wear a 8.5 in this shoe. I have two pairs of the Wave rider 16. I love the shoes and Zappos is my favorite place to shop for shoes. Zappos has an excellent group of people working for them. Good job Zappos!!!

I liked the color combination of these shoes and the comfortable way they fit. They are running shoes but I plan to use them more as walking shoes. There is fabric only on the top of the foot area. The rest is that of the usual athletic shoes.

Love these shoes, so comfortable and look great too. Bought the wide because I have wide feet and it fits perfectly.

These are the best fitting athletic shoes I have had. And the tolerances in the fit seem to be quite precise. I tried 8 M when there were no 7-1/2 W in stock; but they didn't work at all, where for many shoes that will "work" for me.

Gorgeous, comfortable, breathable, lightweight. I'm not a professional runner but I can tell I couldn't be happier running on those. Light enough for working out too - boot camp, TRX, etc classes - and hiking, of course. It felt true to width and size but keep in mind what kind of socks you usually wear. I use those thin "invisible" socks but if you wear thick ones, consider getting half a number larger, maybe. good thing it's so easy to make exchanges at Zappos. :)

The tennis shoe is light yet with good support - ideal for walking long days as a tourist. I'm not one to wear tennis shoes that often, but these are stylish enough to feel a little dressier. They do not keep sand out if walking on a beach -- the price to pay for a lighter and cooler (temperature-wise) tennis shoe. The sizes are European half sizes translated to US whole sizes - not specified when ordering. I tried both 6.5 and 7, kept the 6.5, and it turned out to be fine.

I love these shoes! I received them right before leaving for Europe and wore them almost every day on the trip, they are excellent walking shoes. I have a high arch and they provided excellent support. The colors are fun too! Great purchase.

Like my previous Wave Riders, the 16 is super comfortable and I'm able to use orthotics, so I'm happy with my purchase. I'm not quite used to the color yet (aqua & hot pink with black laces) and get some looks when I stop in the grocery store after the gym. The gym is not a problem; it's full of shoes ranging from purple to bright lime with a few in orange and coral as well. Much more fun than the old whites.

Great running shoes. The turquoise/pink is really bright and fun in person. Just be sure to wear black socks with them. And as usual with all running shoes, order 1/2 size up.

These Mizuno Wave Riders are fabulous. When I wear them, I feel like I could stand for thirteen hours straight, with no breaks, and talk about women's rights! I love them and wear them all the time. These shoes are an inspiration.

I bought these shoes on a whim to support Wendy Davis' epic stand for women's rights. And then I found I love them - so comfortable and supportive. I walk a lot and they are perfect.

Also LOVE my Berkenstock sandals. Who knew they would come back in style? Fun colors updates these classic "hippy shoes!"

Since I have started running I have been in Mizuno Wave Riders. The shoe gives good support and is also comfortable with inserts (if needed). Each new pair that comes out looks better than the rest. The quality of this shoe just keeps getting better. The wave is designed to reduce and redirect impact away from your foot and keeps your foot centered. It makes the shoe helpful for everyone's different way of running. Even though you are supposed to replace your running shoes every few seasons, I find that I really don't have to because they don't really wear down. Mizunos are definitely better than any pair of Nike shoe.

These are the best running shoes ever. They are lightweight, breathable and easy to break in. There is a little toe room to move around I think this is a benefit because my toes tend to get bruised on longer runs. I have read (on Zappos and other sites) the reviews on these shoes, and not one had a bad thing to say. If you are interested in taking your running to the next level, these are your shoes!

This is my second pair of Mizuno Wave Rider 16 as I wanted a back up pair. I have found that purchasing the Athletic shoe insert by Dr. Scholls helps improve the fit. My arch needed more support. Love the shoe!

Mizuno does it again! I have narrow feet with high arches and Mizuno seems to fit the bill. With the newest Wave Rider, they have softened up the sole a bit, which does make a difference. Overall, still the same excellent quality and fit, with just a bit more smoothness in the ride. These are for running, but I use them for everyday errands and when my feet need real cushioning. The heel counter is just right; not too snug, but definitely narrower than most of the brands out there. Great update to any already outstanding product. By the way, I tried the Mizuno Wave Creations a few times and they are WAY harder in the heel area. Just an F.Y.I. The Creations are also the "loudest" shoes I have ever owned. Sounds like you are walking on tin cans. Oh, and most Mizunos run 1/2 size small. I normally wear a 6 1/2 or 7 in regular shoes, have to wear a 7 1/2 in their brand.

These shoes are awesome. They're really great for someone with a relatively neutral foot (although I wear them with an insert for a little extra support, which I recommend for those with pronation issues). They easily shaved 30 seconds off my average mile time, and I feel really fast when I run in them. I don't know yet if I would use them for really long runs, but they're good for everyday training.

These are my absolute favorite running shoes. I am just breaking in my second pair (purple!) and wore my first pair (pink) to the ground in training and running my first half marathon this summer. I have tried many other brands and styles of running shoes, and these are so supportive and cushioned, my feet feel like they're getting a hug each time I wear them. I cannot speak highly enough about the Wave Rider. I had the 15, loved them, and upgraded to the 16 last winter. Best decision ever! Love the color combination, and always love seeing people out running in Mizunos.

Love these Mizuno's! I cannot believe it took me so long to find a shoe that actually fits and feels good. This is the best brand of athletic shoe! I want to get another pair. I was glad I read the reviews and ordered a half size up. I usually wear a 7.5 and ordered the 8. They fit perfect...like they were made just for me. And the color combination is to die for! What great designers! Don't hesitate to get these for sure. And thank you Zappos for the awesome service! I am a happy person right now!

My follow-up on an earlier review. I have had these shoes for approximately 2 weeks and logged about 30 miles. Hands down the most comfortable shoe I have ever own. Perhaps not as stable as ASICS and Brooks, due to the narrower platform, but for the neutral foot, this is THE shoe! Not one complaint. I actually look forward to my runs.

I learned about these through Senator Wendy Davis and her famous filibuster in Texas. I suffer from severe peripheral neuropathy and usually have to wear clogs and even then have a nightmare of a time finding shoes that don't feel like a vice grip, as well as support me on my feet throughout the day. When I heard she wore these for 13 hours, never sitting or leaning, I thought I MUST give them a try. I am happy to report they are AMAZING!!! They're all I want to wear. Wish I could wear them to work! They don't hurt, they squeeze way less than any other "real" lace-up shoes, they provide support and balance and help me walk easier without falling. Such a relief to wear them. While I love the color, it's more of a salmon or coral color. They are NOT red by any stretch of the imagination. I can't afford more than one at this price, but I wish I could get a more neutral color that I could wear to work, like black.

Not only am I a track athlete, but I am a huge volleyball player, so naturally when it came to choosing shoes, I leaned more toward the Mizuno brands. I went online to the Mizuno website, took a survey, and the website recommended that I get these shoes. Just to be sure, I went to a running store, where they analyze you when you run, and they too recommended these shoes. I have horrible arches, and bad Achilles tendon pain. Within a few days of wearing these shoes, my Achilles' did not hurt as much, and my arch started to improve. I have nothing bad to say about these shoes. They are by far my favorite training shoes that I have ever purchased, not to mention the cool colors. I strongly recommend buying these shoes. I have gone through two pairs, and am currently on my third.

I had been needing a new pair of shoes for my 40-60 minute daily walks and when I saw the shoes Wendy Davis stood in for over 11 hours, I just had to have them! The color rouge red with lime green trim really appeals to me, although I would call it a watermelon red. I normally wear a 7N in a New Balance or a 7M in a Nike and ordered a 7N in the Mizuno. They run just slightly narrower then the others I normally wear but I find them nice and snug in the heel and very supportive. If you don't like your shoes snug, I would suggest going up a half size or go from N to M. It is so nice to have freedom of CHOICE in what fits our individual situations and needs! These shoes are fantastic for standing your ground!
