Finally a pair of Hunter boots that fit! The Hunter Original were very snug on my leg with jeans. The Huntress looked like a good option until I tried them on. While they do have a wider calf, they felt very big around the ankle I ordered the kids because I am only 5'2". They fit great, but I just didn't care for the reflectors on the back. Decided to give these one last try. I gave them 4 stars, because I wish they were about an inch or two shorter. They come right under my knee, but I have no problem walking in them.

I love the look of these boots! I'm 4'11" with athletic calves (15"). I usually wear a 5-1/2 or 6 so I ordered the 5; the fit on my calves were fine but the fit on my ankles were just not right as it "folded in." Also, the height of the boot doesn't work for me. When I walk, the top of the boot would hit the back of my knees.

Love this boot. However purchased two yrs ago rarely wore them. I have decided to wear a lot this fall/winter back and forth to work on rainy days and the strap broke at the buckle on one boot have no idea how to repair I'm angry 150 for hunter boots rarely used and they broke? I still have my LL Bean boots from college and I am 59! The boot needs to last at least 5 yrs of hard use they are outdoor yard work boots!

I ordered these boots after reading other reviews on the original boot. My calves are on the larger side, so I figured the adjustable boot would be the best fit for me. But after trying them on, I realized these boots are made only for people who are taller than 5'5". I am 5'4" and the height of these boots was halfway up my knees. There is no way I could wear these. I ended up getting the Huntress boot, and I am much happier with the way those fit! Other than the obvious sizing problem, these boots are adorable and the green color goes with so many things! If you're taller than me and have a wider calf, I would suggest getting these! But if you are on the shorter side, go with the Huntress boot!

This style works for those who have 14 in. or bigger calves. So it didn't work for me, too loose around my leg even with the adjustable strap. Had to order the Original Tour, and that worked for me perfectly!

I read a lot of the reviews and the general opinion seemed to be that Hunter boots run large so I ordered my normal shoe size. Mind, I ordered my dress shoe size (8) not my running shoe size (9 - 9.5) so maybe that is something to consider. Anyway, the boots ended up being far too short in the foot area. Width was fine and the calf size was perfect. Perhaps the next size up would have been good, but the boots did an odd creasing/folding thing around the front of my ankle that I couldn't live with so I didn't bother to try the next size. FYI, I tried the non-adjustable original style at the same time and they were also too small lengthwise and too tight around the calf.

These are great looking boots if you can afford to pay this much for simple rubber boots. The adjustable is definitely the way to go if you want them to flop around less at the knee when wearing skirts. I have muscular calfs and the original look too wide on me unless I stuff jeans inside them. These boots are definitely not supportive, so I had to size up in order to add an insole and thick socks (to make them feel less clammy inside). I am a size 9-9½, normal width, and the size 9 would not even accommodate a half-insert and thin socks. And in the winter, the sole is too thin and really requires a full insole. For this price, I would like to see a sturdier sole.

Maybe I got a fluke pair. But I'm 5'4" and these boots were way too tall. They hit me at my kneecap so anytime I would walk they hit my knee. When I sat down with them on they made a dent in my thigh! Returned them.

I didn't even have to try on the second boot to know they were ill-fitting and dreadfully uncomfortable. I see women wearing these all over my city, and I am not sure how they are walking around in them. Hard as a rock on the inside, and the ankle was baggy. Sadly, these are going back. I hope I can find a different pair that works.

I was very excited to find Hunter boots that actually fit my athletic calves. I purchased these in May 2013, but didn't get a chance to wear them until February 2014 because it was too cold here in Chicago for plain wellies. Lo and behold, when I wore them in a rain shower today, my feet were completely wet! The seams leak. I'm shocked that such an expensive boot would leak so much, even though I'm only wearing them in shallow city puddles. I'm very disappointed and wish I'd invested my money in a different boot. How weird that Hunter wellies have such great reviews. I feel like I got a defective pair and because of that my opinion of the brand has been tarnished.

The back buckle was glued down so I couldn't get the strap through so I had to pry it off. Later in the day (during the 1st and only time I wore them) the whole buckle then ripped off so now the strap just hangs off and flaps. Never worn again. Terrible quality.
