These are very thin, and only have one small pocket for keys and/or your phone. I got them to wear over other pants when it is raining, to give me some protection from getting soaked. For that, they are good - the ankles have a cord through them, so you can stretch them over boots or roll them up to your knees, if needed. They are also extra protection when it is windy. Some of the other reviews were accurate, though. They are very long to wear otherwise, and not pleasant to wear against bare skin. Too plastic-like for that.

I love the fit and comfort of these pants, but they got bad pilling after just a few washes. Fabric is not good.

I adore Columbia clothes because they last and I can get them in plus sizes, but for some reason, the pants come with no or no functional pockets. This pair when worn has what becomes a diagonal zipper pocket cross the left thigh that was too small for a phone or a state park map. I could only fit my folding knife and a matchbook in the pocket. The drawstring under the zipper fly only got in the way, had no real function. Material weight was excellent for summer, and I did not sunburn through it, despite its light color (a risk for super-light folks like myself). With pockets, and after I cut out the drawstring, this would be my favorite pair of pants -- I'd even wear them to work. Without pockets, they're best for keeping my legs from being sunburned in a kayak/canoe. (Note image: Pocket so small, unripe plum will not fit inside pocket)

After reading many reviews, I decided to order a size larger. When they arrived, they were not just big, but way too big. I think I may need a size smaller than I actually wear. Overall I liked the pants, except they lack pockets. I am taking a 2 week hiking trip to Alaska and realize these pants don't have enough pockets for my needs. Will not be reordering them due to that. If pockets were not a concern, I would buy these again.

The thing about Columbia pants is that the sizing can be drastically different from item to item. I bought these in two sizes larger than other Columbia pants that are slightly large, and they're too small. I'm sure they're great pants, but they're being returned due to the sizing issue.

I'm tall (5' 11") and found these pants on the short side, particularly in the rise. I bought them for a hiking trip and haven't worn them yet but they are similar to other hiking pants I've bought so I assume they will work. Not sure how comfortable they will be, but my trip is tomorrow so not sending them back! If you are tall, these may not be long enough. But, they are better than the boot cut which have the wider leg bottom...and flap around your ankles like you're trying to fly.

I'm tall (6'), and it's hard to find a plus size pant with enough length for my long legs. I was very happy with the length of these, and the fit. Unfortunately, the construction was such that the middle seam down the front of the leg rubbed quite heavily on my knee (the stitching on the inside front of the leg is quite substantial), so I had to return them. Fix the stitching issue and I will buy these pants in a heartbeat!

I have to send these back; they were a tad too small around the thighs (material was pulling) and the material is so thin I can't imagine wearing them without the fear that they might rip. Not worth the $60+.

When buying Columbia pants I always add a size which was adequate for this purchase; regular length was good for 5'8.5" tall. These are weird pants. I would say more like knit warm-up pants. Alas I wanted a pair to wear to work and these definitely aren't appropriate. I kept them for winter lounging. Still looking for nice pants with pockets for work.

I did not like these pants. They make a swishy sounds when I walk. I will return them ASAP
