Did great for rainy weather in Scotland/Ireland! Easy to wear leggings underneath for added warmth. These were larger than expected, but easy to tie up with the drawstring. Just wish it had more zippered pockets so I could store stuff on a hike, like my phone.

I really love these pants. They are very lightweight for travel, and because of the material they are made with are somewhat water resistant, but even when they get wet, they dry quite quickly. The stretch makes them very comfortable. They are my go to pant for travel. They do wrinkle a bit if you don't fold or roll properly but the wrinkles come out pretty easy once you wear them. Even when it's hot out, these pants breath and are way more comfortable than jeans. My only complaint is I notice that they pill a bit where anything may rub. Namely in the hip area from either a shirt or my purse and of course a bit in the inner thigh. I wash in cold and hang to dry. I have a pear shape with larger bottom than waist so the drawstring at the waist helps to cinch that in. The little zipper pocket doesn't hold much, keys weigh the pant down, too small for my cell. good for a few bucks & a dl.

I generally wear size 18 in other brands, an more comfortable in a 20 in Columbia, and tried going up a size from that to be able to layer, but these pants are far more stretchy than I expected them to be and just weren't what I needed specifically. I'm considering getting a smaller size, though, because they were quite nice and the cut (had I not sized up) would be very flattering. They'd be great for any activity where you need to lift your knees high. The drawstring was perfect, too, as my figure is hourglass and I always need to use them.

Love the feel of the fabric and the stretch allows great flexibility for outdoor activity. Runs a little small...I ordered 2 sizes up from my jeans size, and they fit well through the hips but a little large through the waist. These pants have a drawstring so they can be made to fit my waist better. In general, I'm very happy with these pants!

Loved the pants! I bought a plus size they only came in an average length, wishing I had a choice of short length. I will have to hem them myself. Looking forward to traveling with a easy pare of pants to wash and dry.

These pants were awesome in the fit and feel. They were a tad big in the waist and the crotch, but wearable. They were very flattering and felt like they would be the perfect pant for my job. However I am required to wear a belt to work and these did not have belt loops so I sadly had to send them back.

I lived in the capri version during the summer. I like the long pant version, but the ankle is too wide. I would also like pockets in the normal place instead of or in addition to the one on the leg.

I purchased this pant and another style for a month long vacation coming up. After trying them on I ordered a third pair. These are really comfortable and light. My pack test went well as these three take up less space than one of my regular pants in luggage. We are going with a single carry on and small backpack each. These fit the bill and will dry quickly when doing laundry in hotel.

very comfortable, quick dry pants. They do run small (I'm typically a 16, but got an 18 because it would be better for movement)

Almost perfection! These are the most comfortable and flattering (read slimming) hiking/outdoor pants I have ever worn. Compared to the Saturday Trail pants, these make me look like I've lost 10-15 lbs while the latter make me look like I've gained that much. My only complaint with these pants is that there are no pockets except a small zippered pocket mid thigh on the left. It is rather small; I can just fit my iphone 6S but it bulges awkwardly as the pocket runs across the front of the leg when the phone is in it, rather than lay alongside the outer thigh. Hoping new iterations of this pant will result in the addition of deep side pockets that open just below the waist band and are not slash pockets as things always slip out of that design. These are lightweight pants that have a nice stretch, flattering straight leg cut that helps to slim heavy thighs. Will be excellent for travelling, hiking and I could even use them for work (outpatient rehab setting). Have not tested for water resistance but will update review when I do.
I'd also recommend:
None as it seems other manufacturers of hiking/outdoor clothing seem to ignore the plus sized woman.

Great fitting pants in a very comfortable material. However, there is a tie at the waist which is cumbersome. If you are traveling, having to tie at the waist band first, then zip your pants doesn't work for me. In addition no pockets was also problematic. If these two issues were addressed, these would be fabulous pants.

I was excited to see another option for a long pant besides the boot cut pant. And the reviews were quite positive, saying you can dress the pant up if you want. Having gotten the pant, there are a few things I wish I would have known before I bought them. One is there is a zipper on the thigh of one of the legs. I don't remember seeing anything about that in the description. I got these mainly for being able to wear in the evening on cruises or while traveling, to pair with a nice blouse and jewelry for a dressier look. The zipper on the leg is not so great for me because it takes away from the dressier look. Also, the bottom hem of the pant has an elastic band in it. I was really surprised to see that! What the heck is that for? I certainly don't remember reading anything about that in the description. The fit is good, and I am glad to be rid of that annoying velcro back pocket on the boot cut pant which never stayed velcroed nicedly together. They will be okay but I wish the hem was normal and the zipper pocket was gone. I am going to look again at the description of the pant to see if there is any mention of those two things.

I literally live in a pair of these year round. They are comfortable, stretchy enough to be comfortable when sitting or bending over, and have taken the place of my jeans, linen or cotton slacks that had to be ironed. Perfect for running errands, too. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, is the material, over time tends to attract lint due to the surface becoming a tiny bit fuzzy, but they are still serviceable. I just ordered three more pair to replace the 5 pair I been wearing almost non-stop since ordering them over a year ago.

These pants are great. I bought a pair in black, then had to have a pair in grey also. I wear a 22W in most pants and slacks, but I've found Columbia always runs a little smaller in Women's sizes. I'm 5'7", and these pants are the perfect length to wear with running shoes.

First off, I love this pant. I wish it came in tan or a lighter color than black and charcoal. I am in Southern Utah and this is perfect for hiking out here for the Fall. I think these would be too hot for summer hiking out here even though they are lightweight (note they look like they are made of sturdier fabric in the picture). Also, these made great pants for climbing, longer to suit cooler temps, but light enough to not feel too cumbersome when climbing.

I am a size 18-22 depending on the brand. I went with the 22 bc I have had some pants purchsed here run small. They were pretty big but super comfy. I will probably order a size smaller because I love the way they feel.

I like these lightweight pants. They run a bit smaller than other Columbia pants or shorts but they are nice.

Great light material - great for travel. I have trouble finding pants that fit right for 3x - with the style and the drawstring, these pants fit great and have a slim attractive look. Pants run very long. I would like to see another pocket too.

I love these pants and wish they came in more colors - I'd order more! Super comfy for around town or travel. I only have two complaints. They need more pockets (there's only one) and they're too long. I'm 5'4" and even with hiking boots I had to roll these up a good couple of inches. There is a drawstring "cinch" on each leg though and that helps secure them. True to size. I didn't have the problem of them stretching out as other reviewers did. I recently wore these in Bali and they were great. Easy to wash in a sink and air-dried overnight. Like I said, nearly perfect!

Pros: flattering shape, high-quality technical fabric, no bulky cargo pockets, good for layering (as base or outer layer), very comfortable Cons: stretch out after a few hours, inseam too short for anyone abI've 5'6, fabric tends to pill with washing (even using gentle cycle and air-drying) Bottom line: I haven't found another retailer that sells decent-looking hiking/backpacking pants in plus sizes, so I'm sticking with these despite the short inseam. This is my third pair.

These pants fit beautifully and look very stylish when compared to my other "adventure" pants. My only complaint is that they were o long. I am 5'6" and had to cut off about 3"s. I don't know why the extended size cannot be made in 28 or 29 length.

I bought these in both an 18 and 20. I kept both because they fit well. I love the drawstring at the bottom of the leg, sometimes I use it and other times I don't. One thing I noticed is they are not as straight of a leg as I wanted. Loose from the knee down. Very stretchy fabric and as one person said, they feel like you are wearing nothing. The fabric is thin but I wear long underwear while hiking so they work perfectly. I use the drawstring waist to cinch them tighter. they have a nice snap and zipper. They are a mid rise waist which is absolutely perfect for me since I hate long waisted pants but they are by no means at all low rise.

I could do without the center front seam but these pants are so comfortable that i will get so much use out of them. They also look nice for all kinds of occassions so I can dress them up or wear casual ; they are nice for travel because they are light weight and easy to hand wash out.

I bought the Just Right II pants about 6 months ago, and wear them sailing all the time. So I thought I'd try a pair of these, so I had a backup pair. These are actually slightly more stylish, and the fabric is a bit more stretchy -- so they are more comfortable. But because they are thin, and stretchy, the windbreaking/water-resisting capability seems to be slightly less good than the Just RIght II. Glad I got them though, and will likely use them all the time when I sailing in non-foul weather conditions.
