First of all, if you are a plus-size woman who is 5 ft. 4 in. or under, I would not recommend these pants. In order for my pants to fit correctly in the crotch and leg area I have to hike the waistband all the way up under my bra! These pants are not made for petite plus size, and yes, we do exist, although we realize we are in a minority when it comes to fashion, apparently. I wish Columbia and Zappos would take us plus petites into consideration. Oh well. However, aside from that, the rest of the pant is beautifully constructed and very comfortable. I just may have to find a way to fix the waistband so that I can wear it on my rather short-waisted self.

After gaining 15lbs, I've had to switch to Womens sizing. But with Columbia, the fit is SO much better than the regular sizing. It's cut more generous in the waist, hips, etc and is very comfortable. I'm 5'3, 16W and the length is perfect. The first time I wore them, my boyfriend even noticed the "new pants". I wish they had pockets but oh well! The regular columbia fit seems "slim" and for curvy girls I'd suggest going up in a size. These are lightweight, light enough for even hot summer days.

I am a size 20 woman who is very active outdoors. I have been looking for a pair of active outdoor pants and it's been a frustrating search which is why I was so happy to find these pants from Columbia. They are comfortable, light-weight, fast drying and perfect for hiking. I also bought the capri's in the same style.
I ordered both 20 and 22 and the 22 fit better, so I'd suggest getting a size bigger than normal. I'm 5'6" and will have to hem them by a couple inches. The only thing I dislike on both the pants and the capri's is that I can really feel the seem on the back of the leg when I walk. It's odd. But, these are by far the best hiking pants I've found so far, so overall I'm pleased.

These pants fit perfectly. I have wide hips/thighs and a relatively narrow waist. Unlike many pants, these do not gap in the back. The material is lightweight but not too clingy, and a little bit stretchy. The waistband is just wonderful and lays flat against my body, doesn't create a weird muffin top or squeeze me when I sit/bend. They also don't make a lot of noise when walking, another plus! Another reviewer mentioned the hidden drawstring -- I didn't know this when I ordered them, but it's a nice little feature you can use/not use. I look forward to many hikes/outdoor activities in these fantastically comfortable pants. Will be buying more from Columbia. Get more styles in more sizes please!

I also think these pants are just great. I'm one of those women with a bigger behind and a smaller waist. These have a drawstring that you don't see which I love. I'm losing weight and so they are a great pair of pants to have.

First of all, these fit a large hip to waist ratio really well. It's hard to find pants that fit the thighs and hips without gaping horribly at the wait. Plenty of room for "junk in the trunk" as well, so they don't slide down your backside when sitting down or bending over.
Now, can we talk about the lack of pockets, Columbia? Where the $&@# and I supposed to put my phone? What about my keys? You gave me one pocket on my THIGH of all places! Why no back pockets? (This would have helped with the VPL as well) Why no front pockets?
The fabric is thin, so plan your undergarments accordingly... which is something you really shouldn't have to worry about with pants you hike, garden, or are otherwise occupied with a task in.

Major complain - started pilling on second day of wearing. Never mind in areas where you would expect some, but at the front too! Hoping to actually get some resolution after sending note to customer care. $50 does not grow on trees and Columbia prides themselves on quality. Disappointed with this purchase....got two pairs!

I love that these pants are roomy through the thighs all of the way down to the ankles. This fit gives me a wide range of movement when I am on the go. I noticed for a while that they disappeared from the website and was afraid that they went away like the previous fit of the Silveridge shirt that gave me the appearance of an hourglass shape. The new Silveridge shirt just makes me look like a box on top. Hopefully, Columbia does not ruin these pants, like the Silveridge shirt, in an effort to improve the product.

These pants are lightweight, so they won't cause you to overheat. They're quick-drying and great sun protection for water sports. The styling is nice enough that I can wear them to the office for casual Friday. They have a nice combo of stretch and structure to fit a variety of body shapes without looking like yoga pants. I do wish they had more/higher pockets (there is one zippered pocket about mid-thigh), but then the styling may not be as nice.

Size 24 - tried these on and didn't want to take them off. I've never had pants fit so perfectly. They'll be perfect for hiking since I run hot all the time. Only wish: POCKETS!

The fit is very comfortable. The stretchy cord inside the waist band lets you really adjust the waist to fit well. And the stretchy cord in the hem lets you turn the pants into capris, and is cute to wear with tennis shoes.

I have worn these several times since purchasing. The material is light weight yet sturdy, allows for great movement, and is breathable. The fit is good. I usually wear an 18 or 20. My body shape is curvy so I was not surprised that the pants fit perfect through thighs and hips and were a little lose at the waist, but with the tie closure at the waist, (note pants zip, button and tie) that is easily remedied. I love the thigh zippered pocket. Part of me longs for hip pockets to be added to this pant BUT not at the cost of the silhouette so I think I can live with just the one pocket.

These are my go-to pants. Either for work or casual, I love these pants. They are comfortable and durable. I do with they had regular pockets, but that is the only downside and it does not prevent me from buying multiple pairs in different colors.

I live on a farm where I need to be comfortable and keep cool and protect my legs from the bugs. These are so stretchable that I can move without any restrictions which is also great for when I'm training the dogs or hiking with them. They wash like a dream too.

Comfy, doesn't bother me on hikes rubbing on my thighs, and the material is breathable and good for Oregon spring weather. I like the pockets. The 24W fits the same as other plus size brands on me (I'm 5'10", and they were long enough too).

These were very comfortable pants for a backpacking trip. They are soft and super stretchy but hold their shape. I normally hate wearing pants with buttons but wanted something more breezy than leggings. These felt very comfortable for hiking and scrambling over rock falls. There are no pockets which is the biggest downside. They have one tiny side zipper "pocket" which isn't good for anything besides maybe 1 kleenex. Still a good pair of hiking pants I am happy to have.
