I wore these for the first time today and I really liked them. I have never wore this type of fabric before and I have to say I'm am hooked very comfortable. Although it was cool outside the pants did not feel thin and drafty. I was afraid they might feel sweaty but they stayed cool and breathable. Most of the time 16W fit baggy in the crotch but these do not. I am thick waisted and thick in the thighs and I found these to fit well. So well I'm looking to buy a second pair. I did notice the inseam rubs a little bit but it does not irritate my skin. Perhaps it will soften after a wash or two.

Finally, a perfect pair of pants! I love the fit (medium rise without going to high into the belly button). The fabric is soft and repels water well as advertised. Great for boating or just running errands. I plan on getting more.

Did not expect these to be my go-to dress pants. These are wonderful. Wash great.

I wore these to a college football game over the weekend. For four straight hours, I sat in the non-stop rain and these pants repelled every last drop. Based on the description, I expected to get a little wet, but not a drop went through. I am so impressed! These definitely run small, but I ordered up. They're stretchy and roomy enough in the legs to fit a pair of leggings underneath for a layer of warmth.

I normally hate buying pants because they rarely fit well. I took a chance and these pants fit great. Can't wait to use them for traveling as they are fitted and nice looking. As the others have said extra pockets would make them perfect and functional.

We are currently in the third day of non-stop rains on the east coast. I wore these for an outdoor field lab where it would be humid (so I didn't want true rain gear) and jeans would be a wet mess. These were amazing. I didn't get hot, they were flattering, and best of all, really truly repelled water! I have used them to hike and bike it, but this is the first true water test. I am a size 18 and unlike other Columbia gear, I find these true to size (others can be a little tight in the rear and hips for me). They hug your curves, but are not tight. I am 5'6" and while I would prefer these to be a little shorter, they don't drag and are a comfortable length. My only complaint (and this is my constant complaint with Columbia gear) is that I would like at least 2 more functional pockets. One thigh pocket is simply not enough.

Love these pants, easy ware, very light weight, no wrinkling. Have 2 pair and will be buying more!! The tread on the front seam on the thigh area is a little tattered after several washes & wear.

I adore the fit and fabric of these pants. Some reviewers ask for more pockets -- NOT me. The slim and trim fit would not be possible with protruding pockets. When a plus size (I'm 18W) adding bulk to my hip area is not appreciated. I love it when my tops "float" comfortably over the waist and butt. This fabric is fantastic for washing in the sink and drying easily when traveling. I have every color in long pants and capri. I have found travel worthy tops in multi colors that match several to make traveling very light possible. I have to shorten them a lot ( I'm 5'5). They are very long, but I don't want the elastic leg look when using them for travel. Once shortened with a straight hem they look "non touristy" and can even be dressed up for evening in a pinch. I highly recommend these very comfortable and travel worthy pants and the capris (which you don't have to shorten!). PLEASE keep pocket free.

These pants are great for outdoors! They are a light weight and water resistant material. I use mine for work every single day which includes hiking and zip lining in the rainforest in Alaska.

I bought these to wear at agility, the fit is great and the fabric has great stretch, I have them in several colours. Will definitely buy more.

I've been looking for a light-weight quick drying pant for my birdwatching travel expeditions. I think this one is going to be perfect. The fabric is light weight, but not so tight that it shows everything that I am so conscious about in my legs (if it applies to you, you'll understand!) and generous enough to allow another layer underneath for colder locations on the same trip without being too baggy. I'm ordering a second pair now!

I could wear these everyday and they go with everything. Like them so much I have purchased another color.

I recently purchased a pair of these pants and loved the look, the feel and comfort so much, I immediately ordered another pair. I ordered my usual pant size (18W) and they fit perfectly. So nice to not have to do any tailoring. I will be wearing these on a 2 week road trip where lots of hiking and possible horseback riding will occur. I need the UV protection since I have LUPUS and it will be great to not have to worry about this aspect when I am outdoors.

Ought these for a safari...lightweight and great fit.....went back for a second pair

Dear Columbia, I would buy 100 more pair of these pants if you made them in navy blue too. Please make them in blue!!

Bought the black pair and liked it so much I went back and purchased the grey ones. Would be perfect if they had one normal pocket around the waist instead of the zipped pocket on the leg.

I have purchased five pairs of these pants. They fit great and the light weight is perfect for active days--whether on the trail or just around town. The drawstring waist provides the added benefit of keeping the pants snug if you lose weight. I have short legs so wish they were a little shorter, but otherwise, no complaints!

I have several pairs of these wonderful pants! They are an integral part of my work wardrobe but can easily be worn on the weekend for a variety of activities. My only wish would be for a Navy pair and then my collection would be complete. Did I mention that they wash and dry very quickly so are great for travelling.

I already own 2 pair of the capris in this style and adore them. They are SO comfortable that I wear them day after day while my other capris languish in the drawer. We are going to Panama this winter and I needed long pants for our days of hiking but I don't tolerate heat well. These will be perfect for that trip. They fit me beautifully (I am 5'8 and the length is perfect). I like the drawstring---it is optional, but I need to cinch up the waist a bit. The drawstring is elastic in nature so it doesn't bind. I prefer to have the more rigid waistband of the pants a little loose and use the drawstring to adjust it tighter so I am not constricted when I am hiking, bending over, etc. I ordered 2 pair of these pants. Thank you, Columbia, for remembering the plus-size woman who adores nature!!!
