I bought these because I've been a huge fan of the boot cut variety, and thought this would be a slimmer profile. The drawstring is on the inside of the waistband, which is a definite improvement. THe pants look and feel and fit GREAT. But they don't have pockets. No back pocket. No front pockets. Just a slightly awkwardly placed pocket on my left thigh above the knee, so no place to put a phone, keys or lip balm (the three things I always keep in my pockets!) Otherwise, I love them. I just wish they had pockets.

I bought these for a hiking trip and couldn't believe how comfortable they are so I ended up buying another pair. I am hard to fit with wide hips and smaller waist so love the drawstring in addition to button for an better fit. I was worried they would be too tight in my legs but they stretch just enough to give some slack. These pants are so incredibly comfortable to hike in. They move and stretch with you. If hiking in cold temperatures I had enough room for a base layer if needed since they are rather thin but kept me warm enough in 50 degree weather. These are a great lounge pant too. Love them and highly recommend!

Just the right amount of stretch. Loved them so much I ordered a second pair. Superior to the zip off leg pants that rubbed my thighs when I walked.

Love these comfortable yet sleek pants. There is a stretchy give for hiking and other active pursuits, but the pants don't bag or sag out. I wear them with nicer tops for work, and can even layer tights under them for outdoor use. All around winners!

I bought these pants and the Anytime Outdoor Boot Cut pant for a summer trip to England. I loved both but these were a phenomenal fit -- I couldn't believe that they were small enough at waist but still fit me at hip and thighs (a miracle!) I felt like I always looked "put together" and I was able to dress these up on the few times that we were at a "nice" restaurant. They also washed and dried quickly and easily -- a huge help since we were traveling light.

I bought 2 pair of these pants for a 10 day cruise to the Panama Canal. They were cool & comfortable on excursions, plus nice enough to wear on the ship. Generous fit with plenty of room in the waist, seat and thighs. The thin, soft fabric keeps them from looking bulky. Added bonus: the waist and ankle ties allow for a custom fit without any worries about hemming. Travelers can hand wash these pants and hang to dry overnight.

Bought these pants for my trip to Iceland. These pants fit true to size and still fit nicely even when wearing my wool layer underneath (which was necessary during my trip to Iceland in March). They were extremely comfortable for hikes to glaciers and waterfalls and riding in the car for hours. I highly recommend these pants.

These pants are very comfy! The stretchy fabric gives me full range of motion, and doesn't put stress on my legs or knees when climbing. Pants are lightweight, and I'm sure they will stay cool in the summer.

I just ordered these pants to take on a trip this summer. I love the material and fit. I have very thick calves and these have a generous cut in the leg. I am planning on ordering the two remaining colors. I

Great everyday pant for walking, hiking, running errands. Travels well - comfortable to wear on the plane, easy to pack, wash by hand and dries quickly. Spent 30 days hiking England, Wales and Ireland. Took 3 pair, didn't need to pack another pair of pants.

These pants are my favorite of several different brands. Please don't xhange the cut any time soon. I have long legs and hips and I feel comfortable in these pants.. Not vacuum sealed or left wondering why my pants are tight in the thigh and loose in the calf like with other brands. They stretch when I wear them for a while but not too much. Just enough to look like comfortable, well -fitting, straight leg pants.

I love these pants. Have them in both colors and in both lengths. If I could make them perfect, they would have regular pockets and belt loops.

Beautifully made, smooth, tightly sewn, straight seams, and very light weight for travel. I'm returning ad ordering the next size up because they run short in the crotch, at least in the plus size 18 that I ordered. I wish there were more pockets, but on the whole, these are very good pants.

I just ordered a second pair of these pants. Very light weight fabric has a slight amount of stretch. They have enough seaming to hold their shape and not become baggy. I have used them for travel, working out and as pajama bottoms. Thank you Columbia for providing plus size active wear.

I purchased these pants to wear on the Trailblaze Challenge hike for Make-A-Wish. We did the big hike (28.3 miles) this past weekend and it poured rain the entire day. These pants were fabulous. They resisted the rain and kept me dry for most of the day. I was very impressed! They were also extremely comfortable even in the harsh conditions we endured. I will definitively be purchasing additional pairs and would highly recommend them.

True to size, comfortably loose without looking sloppy. They retain their shape well. Material is lightweight but not too thin. Great for travel!

I just got the pants in yesterday and I am already in love with them! They fit a little loose, but that makes them more comfy. They are super light weight and breezy. I got them for a trip to the Amazon river in Brazil, but decided to go ahead and break them in. I'll see how they hold up after the trip, but I anticipate buying at least a few more pairs of these.

Awesome pants. I am a size 20 but still very active, hiking regularly. I have searched high and low for real hiking pants and am very happy to have found these. They are light, airy, and comfortable. I definitely recommend them.

These are very comfortable and very flattering; the material while light weight seems durable. They fit true to size. The only odd thing was the lack of pockets, but there is a pocket on the leg that will hold my phone so... Please continue to make these wonderful pants!! Nice to find a pair of pants that fit a plus size active gal!!

Extremely lightweight and comfortable pants perfect for camping and hiking adventures. Allows freedom of movement while keeping a nice fit. I need another pair for the office days as well!

I have been looking a very long time for plus size pants for hiking, and I love these. I have given up on REI, and will look for columbia from now on. These pants are pretty thin, which I like because I am usually on the warm side. However, the quality is good and unless you're hiking in really rough terrain where they'll take a serious beating they will be fine. The pants are super flexible, so I have no concerns about tearing during activities. They are so comfortable and they are FLATTERING. FINALLY.

These pants run quite large. Tried numerous pairs of size 16 Columbia pants at various stores with no luck bought (could not get them over hips and behind as i am quite curvy there. I bought 16W and 18W and both were quite large had to buy regular size 16.

These pants do it all! They look great and are oh so comfortable. From driving across the country, to hiking the Grand Canyon to wearing them on an Alaskan cruise. They have been with me through it all. Even just hanging out on the weekends. These are my go to pants. I am 5'9 and wear a plus size. It's hard to find good fitting pants. They are plenty long, and after 2 years, have not shrunk. Would highly recommend them.

I love love love these pants. They're lightweight, so not too hot (even the black), super stretchy and comfortable (not binding, even at the waist), and very practical. I was looking for something comfy like a yoga pant, but not binding like jeans can be, that I could wear out to dinner, shopping during the day, etc. We have warm weather here, so I needed something in a breathable fabric. They do run big and pretty long. The length is a bonus for me, as I have a very hard time finding pants long enough, often resorting to capris (I'm 5'10"). My only complaint is that they don't have hip pockets; there's only one zippered thigh pocket, and it's not even big enough for my phone. Would definitely recommend in spite of this.

These pants are very comfortable. I will purchase more in the future.
