Theses ASICS are amazing! Super light...great cushion on heel...even better with Superfeet.

The shoes are recommended by my podiatrist as part of my recovery from a ruptured Achilles. They are good shoes and comfortable but I can jog somewhat more easily in my slightly worn nb753. I use them with over the counter orthotics which changes the dynamic somewhat. I would recommend them although they are on the high price end.

These shoes look and feel great. I typically bought NB in the past but didn't like the styles they had out so I decided to try these because of all the great reviews. They were a little bit wider than I expected but nothing major. These feel great while running indoors or out and have lived up to the reviews.

I am a big guy (6'2", 235) and I run marathons every other weekend. I go through these shoes about every 3-4 months, which is about 300 miles per pair. As long as I replace them that often, they help me prevent overuse injuries. I don't like the feel as well as the 18 - doesn't seem to have as much cushion in the forefoot and the heel box is different for the worse. I would be wearing Hoka One One except they don't have any wider than D width and I'm a 13.5 4E. Until then, this is the best on the market for a big Marathon Maniac.

I like these shoes, but they are not as cushioned as the Gel-Nimbus 13. These are more loose in the toe and a little more firm. The colors and design also look a little cheap compared to Gel-Nimbus. Good enough not to send them back.

A great shoe. Found the Kayano's a few years ago and have never looked back. Excellent arch support and ensures a straight toe off on every stride. Removed one star overall b/c I dont feel any major improvements over last years model. I saved a few bucks and bought the Kayano 18s on sale. Zappos is great as always.

This is my third or fourth pair of ASICS, and 2nd pair of Kayanos. I have problem feet due to multiple back injuries that damaged nerves from hip to foot. I think it's similar to diabetics' issues with nerve damage. ASICS have wide toe boxes that don't bind my feet, and firm support until they break down, as all shoes do. They are reasonably durable. I do not run because of my back, but I do recommend wearing running shoes because of the added support. Kayanos are about the same as the Gel 2170, which is cheaper. For me ASICS' main negative is the limited selection of reasonable colors - maybe runners like the Venusian-looking multiple neon colors for safety reasons, but a lot of people like me wear them all day. I don't like shoes that come into view two minutes before I do. I bought the black/gray/white version, and changed to gray laces that look a lot better (the black laces were too long anyway). I love Zappos service, how can you beat free shipping and free returns at competitive prices?

Overall this is one of the best running shoes I've owned. I use an insole for extra arch support and cushioning as a matter of personal preference, but this shoe is light, sturdy and comfortable.

Giant holes in the heel cushion makes wearing thin socks impossible. Basically ruined. I love Asics. Just not these ones for the cost.

I have had these shoes since the middle of September. it's now the middle of February. While the comfort of these shoes is excellent, I am disappointed with the material. The mesh on the outside is fraying in numerous places and the fabric on the inside of the heels on both shoes is withering away. I run, play basketball and bike in these shoes on a daily basis. My previous pair of Kayano 18's took much more use before showing the signs of wear that these 19's do as of today. It's a bit of a drag because they were expensive.

I loved Asics. Have old 2000s now, and before that, another pair of Asics that I can't remember the model name of. Decided to trade up to the Kayanos. Was excited. Should've taken the neg reviews more seriously. Just disappointed. The 2000 says for mild pronators and the Kayano says for mild to moderate. But when I tried these, my feet/ankles rolled in, decidedly over-pronating on every step. Just walking on tile, every step, my ankles crumpled in, like the sole just lacked thickness on that side of the shoe near the ball of the foot. I don't overpronate much, by the way, just slightly and this just doesn't happen in my old 2000s at all. The shoes are pretty comfortable in other ways, although, I concur with neg reviews, doesn't feel as cushy as I imagined, not any better than my old 2000s. I read also some think too much space in toe box, but felt fine to me, liked the toe spread. Just don't understand why they make my feet roll inward. Just feels like I would get hurt if running in these shoes. Will return thanks to Zappos return policy. Hate to but will order Nike Lunar line this time (never liked Nikes before but they felt okay this time when I went to brick mortar store to try). Makes me nervous cause lots of times, you don't really know how shoes are gonna be until you run 10 miles in 'em. Wish these Kayanos had worked for me, then I wouldn't have to gamble on the Nikes. Pff.

None, really. Running shoes(shoes in general too) seem personal and seem to change in quality every year. I did like, however, Clarks, Tsubo, Eccos and some Dr. Martens(tho Clarks and Docs less and less cause quality seems going down some since their hayday).

The WIDTH is NOT marked on the shoe or the box. (The size (16 Men US) is marked on the shoe and box.) My husband likes this type of shoe, but without the width marking, he cannot easily match the pair of worn-out shoes he already has.

The inside heel cushioning wore extremely fast. I can touch the back inner lining after less than 100 miles of running. Shoe is like new, but the heel is so worn down that I am starting to get blisters on my heel.

This is the third pair of Asics that I've owned in the last couple of years. This pair, like the others, developed at hole in the inner fabric near the heel (have had just a little over 3 months and wear 4 times a week maybe). Seems cheaper shoes don't exhibit this problem. They are comfortable though. Just wish these stupid holes wouldn't form!

Asics did it again - tried to go cheap and take gel out of the Kayano. Not nearly as cushioned and supportive as the previous version of the Kayano. No cush, and no real stability either. I had to put a Dr Scholl's insert into this one just to get the same arch support as last year's model. Just finished printing the return label. But Zappos is great about returns. That's why I keep coming back.

Bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas. I have a pair of Asics which I absolutely love. Well, he has had them for 3 months & they look terrible. Both heels are ripped on the inside. I'm very disappointed and wish I never purchased them. They aren't cheap shoes.

I am an Asics die hard but I have to say they missed the mark on this shoe. I blew through the sides in less than 2 weeks. Comfortable but not real functional when your pinky toe is sticking out. I will be looking for a more durable model next time.

The eyelets for the laces broke within a couple of months making he shoes unusable. I had been using Asics Kayanos and predecessors for years. Very surprised and disappointed. fyi: I had been using this pair for biking not running (so no road pounding) and used older pair when it rained.
