I had GT 2160s but they do not make them anymore. I ponied up the money and bought these shoes. The guy told me these were better than the 2160s. They feel fantastic on your feet when you are just walking around. I was so excited to take them out for the first run. They felt great while running and my feet did not hurt. However, after I got done running and finished stretching I felt a sharp pain in my knee, one that I have never had with my 2160s after running the same distance. I held them up to my 2160s. The Kayano 19 had quite a bit less cushion in the heel and forefoot. I believe this caused the knee pain. I put my 2160s on the next day, ran the same distance and no knee pain. For the money, I am not impressed. I will be taking these back to the store I bought them and getting my money back. The Kayano 18 even has a more cushioned heel than the 19.

Really disappointed that Asics stopped making the Kayano 18. After years of searching, thought I found the finest shoe in the 18's. I'm 6'1, weigh 225 and this model does not have the support of the 18's, the heel is much thinner, and I find my hips wearing out faster. Just an average shoe.

My wife and I both ordered the new Kayanos. We stepped up from the gels that were considerably cheaper range. We found them to be vastly superior, well worth the extra cost. The shoes are more comfortable and more stable.

Asics in general are my favorite running shoe. I used to use New Balance, but they were too heavy. Nike generally runs too narrow for my feet. Once I discovered this particular pair of Asics shoes I found the perfect match for my feet. They are light weight and I don't develop any hot spots. I have a pretty damaged left foot so I tend not to run over 2 to 3 miles, but when I feel up to it I can run every day in these shoes.

I've worn this shoe made by Asics for years, but never have been able to find them at this price point. I always size up a half size and it works for me.

Great shoe, very comfortable. Very bright with the neon green but you won't get hit by a car. We'll see how they hold up, I had had trouble with the heel cushioning in the past after heavy use. Love Gel Kayanos though, only shoe I buy for running.

These were a gift for a friend out of the country. I ordered them but they were delivered to the wrong house. I called Zappos and told them I was leaving in a couple days and needed the shoes ASAP and they overnighted the shoes right then. I got them and left the country with the shoes. Thanks Zappos! The first pair showed up and I sent them back.

Another pair of Kayanos - my 3rd. As an older, heavier runner, I find they have the support and cushioning I need. I have had a pair of the 18's, and this is my second pair of 19's.

I'm 6'2" around 170 pounds and run up to 50 miles per week. The Kayano has always been a great shoe for me that will easily last 500+ miles. Definitely will buy again and again.

I have loved Kayaks for years. Always a size 8. I got there and they have done something different. In these, when I step forward my big toe touches the front. I'm looking to get serious about running now and this won't do. So I ordered 8.5 from zappos and they fit well. The 8s are going back. So I'd say add a half size.

Have ran in these sneakers only two times at the time of writing the review. Prior to purchasing the Kayano I use to run with a Nike Lunarlon but my running partners encouraged my to get a real running shoes, so I decided on the Kayano 19 after a little research. These shoes are definitely on a different level from the Lunarlon, interns of comfort and support. The difference in my opinion will be only noticeable for people who run often or long distance, more than 5k. I am very satisfied with my purchase and fits perfect, true to size.

You cannot go wrong with this shoe. I am 55 years old and have been buying and jogging in Kayanos for 10+ years. They always fit true to size, are comfortable and the soles wear well.

I have worn Gel-Kayanos through 15 pair and am always pleased. At age 73 I love the green - it's an attitude thing. I am always pleased with the service I receive from Zappos.

This was my 2nd pair of these shoes! I love the 19 and never saw this color before. Had to jump at them! Always get a ton of compliments. I love the 19's for their great comfort for my running workouts and their durability for my daily gym routine.

I just got into running after having never been a runner in my life. These shoes are definitely worth the investment. Any foot pain I had was gone in less than a week after switching to these. Would definitely purchase again once they wear out.

I pronate ever so slightly, and "WOW" these things have me striking the ground correctly. And comfortably. And a bit more stylish than I thought that they would be.

I love Asics. I started with the Gel 2000 then the Gel 3000. Last year I moved up to the Gel Kayano 19. Just purchased 2 more pairs. They give just the right amount of stabilization for me. They run about a half size small on my foot.

I reached that age where I needed to take an active role in my health maintenance, 41. So I bought my first pair of running shoes, the Kayano 19. The price and the features seemed very appealing as did the free shipping, yes, even to Alaska! My main concern was that due to my size and weight they may not provide the impact protecting qualities I needed. Well, at 6'8" & 270 pounds I was pleasantly surprised that the shin splints that would normally plague me never occurred. The shoes fit great and are very light. Good purchase.

I've always been happy with the Kayanos that I've purchased in the past. So far, I feel like these are probably the best ones I've owned.

Excellent shoe. Great support and fit. One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

I purchased these for my boyfriend so he could have some nice running shoes. Well, he hasn't "run" in them yet, but I often see him choosing these tennis shoes over his old ones that he always said were great. So overall, these are the new great ones, he often comments how comfortable they are and I think they have a very good look to them too!

I love these shoes! They fit perfectly and are consistent in size and fit with other Asics products. This is one brand that I have no hesitation in ordering online because I know that they will fit. I liked the color online and they look even better in person.

These were a gift for my husband. He has terrible trouble with his bunions and requires a wide shoe. I originally ordered a pair of Brooks that were wide, but they hurt his foot almost immediately. He does a lot of intense physical activity and these shoes provide him the support he needs, while providing the most comfort he can get for his bunions. Great shoe for a good price.
