Wow, such fantastic shoes. These are some of the best running shoes you can buy. Superb!

Seems the guys and dolls at Asics finally came to their senses - no more lop-sided shoelaces. I was a big fan of Kayanos until they started making the models with the weird angled shoelaces - had to lay off for a couple of seasons (16-18?). The Kayano 19 is one of the best shoes on the market for serious runners.

As a larger man with a wide foot I have had trouble finding a good fit - and these are the most supportive and comfortable I have ever owned. I'd just about given up on finding something that felt like it was a fit for my particular frame - but these feel custom made on my feet. Worth the extra cost for relieving joints that have suffered abuse from other footwear.

I have a wide toe and narrow heel, which makes it difficult to find athletic shoes that remotely fit. ASICS has always been my brand because they fit me best. I ended up with the Kayano 19 (9.5 EE) to replace a pair of GEL-Fortitude 5, sadly discontinued. ASICS first recommended the Oracle and then the Cumulus, but those ran way too narrow in the toe and slipped in the heel. I decided to try the Kayano 19 as a last resort and was pleasantly surprised. The Kayano 19 is generously wide in the front (a plus for me), and it also has 'personal heel fit' (PHF) so it grabs the heel with memory foam. The heel slipped slightly with standard lacing, but I found a modified heel-lock lacing style that locked the heel down perfectly and comfortably. I also got to choose a color/style I like, which is nice because I usually sacrifice color/style for fit. Thanks as always to Zappos because it took about 10 orders/returns and lots of phone coaching to get these shoes. The Kayano 19 are top of the line, but worth it to me because they fit so well. I plan to order another pair soon.

I recently got these as replacements for the Kayano 18 from last year. They do the job, but are not quite as comfortable - more stiff and less cushion. I wear these with arch support inserts, so cannot comment on the level of arch support these shoes provide. Still, better than other running shoes I've tried!

I had issues with plantar fasciitis and switched to these with an insert. What a difference. 3 years and 4 pairs later, they provide the most comfort and support and no issues again!

Excellent support and very comfortable. The Gel-Kayano 19 has a somewhat more rounded toe than older models. I'm going to need to move up 1/2 size for a good fit.

I am so glad I purchased these shoes, after reading all the reviews. I am a medium to heavy over pronator with flat feet. I have used NB, Brooks but these are the most comfortable and well fitting running shoes I have used. No hot spots or sore ankles, they make me want to just keep running. I just ran a 5K and have put an additional 35 miles on them and they feel great. I will definitely purchase another pair.

Just got these after realizing that I needed a shoe with more cushioning for running. Asics makes great shoes and I've tried on a few different models. It's interesting how close some feel, but with this shoe, while pricey, it seems to fit me best. Of course I had to pick the most expensive of the lot, but they do feel just that much better in terms of fit and comfort for running that I was seeking. Good stuff, albeit on the pricey side. But the good news is that Asics also make many more affordable options that are similar in feel and intended use to if you can't afford these, you WILL be able to find another that works very well for less cost. Asics makes very comfortable fitting shoes.

I have worn the show for three days. So far the show fits and feels a lot better then the Gel-Kayano 18. I have been wearing Gel-Kayanos every year since the 16's. I like the 19's the best so far. My wife bought some as well and we both rate them 5 stars.

Very comfortable and light shoe with great stability help. The shoes are a little narrow but other than that fit true to size. A lot of times with lighter shoes you lose support from the upper but that is not the case with the Kayano 19. The light mesh provides upper support and still helps keep the feet cool even when running long distances. The real treasures of this shoe are in the support of the outsole. I have never had a shoe that provided the stability of these shoes while maintaining a cushioned ride. I think previous versions of the shoe were too soft and didn't provide enough stability but Asics stepped it up with this shoe and provides a shoe with lots of stability and plenty of cushioning. These shoes provide the comfort and stability that's necessary for running it's a quick 2 mile jog after work or a longer trip on a weekend run.

These shoes are great for heavy runners. I'm 5'10", 225 and they are very stable and comfortable. Their fit is true to size.

First, I have flat feet and a slight overpronation. These shoes are possibly the most comfortable, supportive, and all-around perfect walking and running shoe I've ever owned. This is my third pair of Asics GEL-Kayanos and my experience is that they just keep making them better. Lastly, this shoe is the closest I'll ever be to walking on air and it required no break-in. It was perfect from minute one. I'm sorry if this review sounds hyperbolous, but they really are that great.

I have had every pair of Kayanos since the first ones (which were white with green accents and came with a special Asics cooler if you bought a pair). Obviously, with improving technology, these shoes have always been (arguably) the best shoes money can buy. After a few years, I started buying two pair every year, one for running and one for casual wear since they were so comfortable for both. The new "19s" are better than ever and Asics has finally made some awesome color combinations (all of which I can only find at Zappos). Great fit (slightly wide foot), best for over pronators, awesome support and comfort, did I mention great fit? I have always liked this shoe slightly snug, and the shoe seems to comply. I will be looking forward to model 20 next year and will be buying until I'm six feet under!

So comfy! That's putting it on simple words. These shoes are amazing, my work requires constant walking and with these shoes the day goes by and I can't feel the reward towards the end of the day with no pain in my feet or knees.

I love the Kayano series. What I have learned about them though, you have to run in them a few times so your body adjusts to the step the shoe allows. I moved from GT's to Kayano about 3 years ago. The first time I ran in them I experienced knee pain. However, after about a week my step adjusted and now perfect. I will never run in anything but Kayano, 13.1's come very easy with them.

Great shoes, my husband loved them, they were a bit tight, so we're returning them for the next 1/2 size larger.

I've been running on the GEL-Kayano series shoe for approx. 15 years. This is the best shoe for big men. At 6-04, 200, this shoe is perfect for me. I've never had an injury. You pay more, but this shoe is worth every penny.

I've owned Kayano 15, 16, 17, 18s all before for half marathon and full marathon training. These seem to be a bit softer that previous versions but still a great shoe.

I'm 6'4 240 lbs. working out 6 days a week. This is by far the best shoe I have ever trained in.

I love Asics! They are the only running show that I buy. I have lost count of exactly how many pairs I actually own at this point. At least 4-6 pairs. I am a severe over-pronator so these have been awesome! The only thing I have noticed with the Kayano's is they are bit more snug than my GT-2170's. I wear a 12.5 normally and had to size up to a 13 for the Kayano's.

Bought these for my husband. He loves them. The color is nice and he says the support is good too. Also lightweight which is a bonus when working out.

Super light weight! Great cushion in heel...even better with Superfeet. Best running shoe Ive ever used!
