These shoes fit me well. I got them in 17 4e and the size feels a little big lengthwise. Having big feet I usually don't have a lot of options when it comes to nice looking shoes, I'm glad New Balance provides quality shoes that look good and fit comfortable.

These run small, compared to the 623. I wear a size 9D on the 623. I bought the same size 9D for the MX623v2, and it's 1.5 sizes smaller. I wish they would standardize their sizes.

These are true to size for new balance.I ordered these in the same size as my ten year old comfy, rough looking 991's. The top of this shoe comes up high on the ankle. I had to unlace the top lace to make them more comfortable.I bought them because this shoe was recommended for heel spurs and ball of foot pain. I wish I would have picked the classic NB. They don't look as high up on the ankle. These are comfortable other than that.

If you like the discontinued MX621 then these shoes are for you. The fit and comfort are very similar to the MX621. The biggest and most noticeable difference is the quality of the uppers on these shoes -- they are very "plasticky" and feels cheap compared to the uppers on the MX621. So durability might be an issue - guess I'll find out.
If you do NOT like the MX621, then these are NOT for you.

These have a removable insole and I replaced that with your excellent Orthaheel product which I use in all my shoes. But in this case the size was too small with the Orthaheel, I need half size bigger. So I am returning these for a 12½EE.

The shoes fit great but the glue connecting the toe part of the sole to the upper has come undone very quickly. Seems like a quick fix and since NB has so many of the same complaints about this shoe you would think they would fix it. Another company letting itself go after achieving a good reputation -- see Dell.

I have always been extremely satisfied with my Zappo purchases. This shoe met all my expectations with the exception that the tongue was a bright cloth white and the shoe itself was a more subdued white which gave the appearance of non matched colors.

The upper leather tore out after only a few months. Because I have trouble finding shoes that fit, I kept wearing them while looking for a replacement, (I did not want to reward New Balance with a second purchase) until a stranger on the street pointed out my tear, which made me feel like a hobo. I then took a needle and thread and stitched up the hole! This bought me another 6 months. But still...hobo. Finally I broke down and bought another pair. I hope they last longer than the first ones!

I have had several pair of these shoes. Something has changed and they are no longer true to size in width. They are too narrow.

I would have to agree that New Balance has definitely gone downhill over the past few years. I have bought 2 pairs of these shoes on the first pair the bottoms wore off while the top portion was fine, the second pair the seam on the top of the shoe opened up just a few months after I purchased them rendering them unwearable. I think if New Balance doesn't start making shoes that hold together better we may have to part company soon.

I replaced an older pair of New Balance shoes with these. They looked like an identical product and were only one number different. However, these new shoes are not as well made and they have been cheapened in the laces and the way the tongue is attached. I think they have replaced good shoe design with a lot of puffy padding inside the shoe. That's why you have to buy at least a half size larger, but really a full size larger than your dress shoes. These shoes are made overseas for probably $5 a pair and are overpriced in my opinion.

There is no room at the toe area. It is too tight to be comfortable. Too bad. I do love the style. New Balance is not what it used to be.

This is not a true 4E. I would have a blister on my left little toe within 5 minutes of casual walking in this shoe. It feels more like a 2E. I can feel my toes at the tip as well, with little effort, so the length is also suspect. Too bad; it's better looking than the photo indicated. Oh well, I was hoping NB had improved, years after I gave them up and switched to Nike. So much for that!

The shoe laces were way too short; went out and purchased 54" athletic laces and the shoe laces are still not long enough to fit width on foot. The shoe is narrower than other New Balance shoes I have bought.

I've been wearing New Balance for years now, but this pair leaves a little bit to be desired. The insole is well cushioned, but there's no arch support to speak of. I bought this shoe for the stability and support NB (usually) provides, but I found these a little too free and easy for my taste. The suede looks great, but the shoe is mostly unventilated. I just got them, but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them.

As others have reported, after years of buying New Balance 9.5EEEE I find this model too small in the length and a bit snug in the width. I'm convinced that the fault is excessive and puffy cushioning in the back of the heel, which pushes the foot too close to the tip of the sneaker.
The good news is that the problem eases up as the shoe is broken in. Same goes for the width, when the relatively stiff material softens up.
New Balance needs to check its quality control in their Indonesia operation. After all, consistently good fit is what New Balance is all about.

Nothing else fits me like New Balance, since it's available in more than one width.

Good fit, but the suede-like material over the toe area does not hold up so well, and ive only had the sneakers for a few weeks and have hardly used them.

Product, though 4EEE, felt very tight compared to the MW665SB New Balance sneakers I just purchased. I am returning these and ordering a second pair of the MW665SB instead.

Not as comfortable as I had hoped. toe box a little small, minimal arch support. Make funny noise while walking. I've had many pairs of New Balance before and was always happy. Not now.

Comfortable shoe. Only reason I am unhappy with it is because the shoe fell apart 6 months after it was purchased. Poor quality.

Nice shoe, but the toe box is very small (front end of shoe is pointed). New Balance must have designed this one for an elf. I ordered a 4E wide shoe but I doubt whether it is a true "D" medium wide.

Seems all the tennis shoes I order are a size too small, even when my casual shoes fits perfectly. So, I am sorry I am returning this pair of shoes, but would be happy if I could get the next size in this model. Thanks.

I have always had good service and product from Zappos. However, I bought a pair of New Balance shoes from another source, and they were much shorter and more narrow than marked, based on the 8 pair of NB shoes I have had in the past. I think NB has a manufacturing problem. I will try on in person to avoid having to return shoes in the future.

Runs narrow for me. I'm a UPS driver and I can cry at the end of the day. I wish I sent them back but after wearing them all day I couldn't stick Zappos with a sweaty pair of shoes. Maybe these were mis-marked.

What happened New Balance? For years your shoes fit me very well. Now all of them are too narrow.
