Sizing seemed really small--short length, tight in the toe, and narrow throughout.

I am always a solid 7.5. Unless all reviews indicate that a shoe runs small I typically order that size, so I ordered a 7.5. When I got them I thought they were going to be a comfortable work shoe. It's really hard to say how these truly run (if it's only a half size smaller) because the toe box is so tight. There is no wiggling going on in those shoes! I'm not going to re-order because I feel that if I go up a half size it still may not fit my foot and anything larger than that may be too big overall. It's back to searching for a new work shoe.

I wore these shoes for 2 hours. When I kneeled on the carpeted floor to play with my grandson, the blue on the toe end of the shoe scuffed off! The shoes are very comfortable and attractive - I was going to order another pair! But not now. Please refund my money.

This ran a bit small and there was a spot that put pressure on my heel (on the bottom) that was painful. That was really odd.

Good news, bad news. Comfortable for work. Slight toe cleavage depending on your foot. Bad news... 4 hours into my work day the right shoe started squeaking. Nothing worse than walking through a quiet office full of cubicles... squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak. Totally embarrassing.

Beautiful shoe. Unfortunately, I have large, wide feet. I ordered these in a 12 EE and couldn't even get my foot in past the opening of the shoe. Not even close to the right size.

I really wanted to love these shoes, but after only one month the leather on the toe has started to peel off, and there is no apparent way to prevent it from spreading. I had this exact pair previously and wore them for about two years, and had no such issues. I am disappointed in the quality of such expensive shoes.

I just bought these shoes but can't wear them because the inner sole suede material makes my feet sweat profusely. It's a shame because they're very comfortable but after 4 tries I basically have to throw away the money.

These are comfortable but they literally fell apart after wearing them for a few times. Because it was not all upper leather, the outer layer just started to peel off. I wish they were made better because they really are comfortable.

The footbed is amazingly comfortable. However, the design at the front of the shoe makes it feel heavy at the toes. I've had these shoes over a year and I still feel like I'm trying to "break them in." They still leave a red mark on my foot after I've worn them. I wish I would have returned them instead of holding out hope.

These are very cute shoes and look well-made. I agree with the other reviews though that the toe box is small even in the wide shoe. I ordered the shoe in both a W and WW in my regular size. The W was too tight around the toes and felt shorter than it should. But the WW didn't work either. Although the WW fit better in the toe area and around my bunions it was then gaping out in the middle of the foot. So, I am trying a half size up in W width. I am hoping it works because I really like the look of the shoe.

I was really disappointed with these. I wanted a shoe that would be my go-to black flats. Unfortunately, both toes were scuffed up within a couple of months and the black as started to peel off. Cushioning was nice...but the sides rub my toes and I can barely make it 8 hours in these.

Very tight across the toe area. Sole is very soft and comfortable. Heel area fits well. I'm sad to be returning these!

Great fit, nice style but terrible quality. I bought these shoes exactly a month ago and wore them once or twice before noticing the outer sides of the shoes are literally coming apart. It looks like the polished leather is coming off or has patches of suede (oddly the inner sides are fine) I am extremely disappointed because these are by far the most comfortable shoes that I have ever experienced straight out of the box. I have bought other Sofftspots before and have never experienced a quality issue like this - I am hoping it is a fluke - but be warned.

I first ordered a size 9 due to some reviews saying to order 1/2 size up. The 9M was too big, the right shoe falls off my foot. I then ordered an 8.5M and I can barely get my right foot into the shoe, it feels a whole or 1 1/2 sizes smaller than the 9M! I intended to wear these for an upcoming trade show but I'm afraid neither size works for me. I'm super bummed! They are cute and I can tell they would be very comfy if they fit me. I live in a rural area, the nearest shoe store is over an hour away, so I rely on Zappos for nearly every shoe purchase. Generally I have good luck but this time was an exception.

I thought I had finally found the simple black flat that I have been looking for. But after wearing these shoes for about 2 weeks, I began to notice how beat up they look. These shoes are not the kind of leather shoes I am used to. The slightest scuff will show some kind of weird bluish finish under the very thin top layer of "leather." They look a hot mess and I am embarrassed to wear them now. So disappointed. It looks like I wore them to do yard work, but I only wear them to work, which is as an Adm. Assistant in a small business. So I am out quite a bit of money, and still don't have a shoe I can count on. It's a cheaply made shoe. Period.

Could not get my foot into this shoe at all. I am a big fan of Softspots and have purchased probably a dozen pairs over the years, so I was stunned that these shoes were so much smaller than I expected.

Cute shoe, really wanted these to work for me but my long, skinny foot could not stay in the shoe. The medium width was great in toe area but my narrow heel slipped out like a flip flop. Tried adding inserts and orthotics but heel area still too wide. Thanks Zappos for making returns easy and hassle free! I so wish you had a store nearby.

When I first bought these, I was very happy. They were comfy out of the box and a true wide width shoe. As a teacher, I wore them about 2-3 days a week to break them in. It is now Nov. and they are brutally uncomfortable. The minimal arch support has already worn down. They have also stretched out considerably so one shoe is larger than the other. Even with thick socks, one is too loose. Finally, the toes have scuffed very easily so they look much older than they are (I purchased them in August!). I am very disappointed, especially considering the cost. I am already on the hunt for another pair of shoes! If you stand for long periods of time, this is not the best shoe, even with arch supports added in.

I bought these in brown a while ago but had only worn them once. Yesterday I wore them again and remembered why I had stopped. As another review said, the toe box was tighter than expected and so after a bit of walking, my pinkie toes were extremely sore. I wear a WW and the fit was great everywhere else but sadly, I won't be able to wear these again.

The material on the outside toe of shoe, peeled off before the shoe was even worn in. I do not recommend this shoe

Very cute shoe, love the look but hate my toes being pinched. Toe box is very narrow and squishes your toes together. Too bad, for a comfort brand shoe this was not a comfortable shoe.

These shoes felt fabulous when I first put them on but by the end of the day my feet were killing me. There is no support and the cozy foot bed flattened to nothing in no time.

These shoes were too wide for my 11 narrow foot. I was hoping they would stay on as so many people had said how comfortable they are. The problem is that many shoes are labeled narrow and are not really narrow. I love Zappos and keep up the search for real narrow shoes.

I really wanted to love these -- I still think that they are beautiful. I bought the ww shoes first, they were extremely comfortable in the toe box, but the sides gaped ever time I took a step or even standing still. So I reordered in w, not as comfortable in toe box, but still gaped. So they're both going back. If you've got a very straight foot (my is thicker right before the toes and tapers towards the heel), these will probably work for you. I can't expressed how disappointed I am, they were just what I was looking for except for that.
