Ordered Wide--not wide at all! Good looking shoe and very disappointed with Clark's.

I really wanted to love these shoes for taking walks. I thought they were very cute! Unfortunately, I my feet wasn't comfortable enough just walking around the house. Here is why: 1- The foot bed was extremely stiff and lacked cushioning. 2- The shoe tongue was so short that it jammed into the front of my ankles. The shoe was definitely the correct size. This was a problem with the length of the tongue. 3- The arch support was uncomfortable. Normally, shoes do not have enough arch support for me. But because there was little to no cushioning, the arch support in these shoes felt like it would cause my feet to hurt over time.. Hope this review helps others.

Nice looking shoes but too narrow for being wide. Too long in length.

The shoe itself is very comfortable, but when I walk that back lifts up and makes a sound on each step. That would have annoyed me.

Oh, how I wanted to love these shoes. They are so cute! (I got the blue.) Exactly the look I was hoping for and it is so nice that they are waterproof. Sadly, however, I found these shoes incredibly tight and uncomfortable. I tried an 8M, 8W, 8½M, and 8½W. None of them worked. The 8½W worked best for me, but only when I took the removable cushion inserts out. But then, I could really feel the bottom of the inside of the shoe, and that was uncomfortable too. I am usually pretty easy to please with shoes, but I just could not make these cuties work. I went instead with the blue Keen Mercer Lace II CNX, which I love!

These are a tad narrow for my wider toe box. They are very stiff and sturdy so that my feet are screaming to be released after a few hours. Also, a very annoying feature is this textured nylon heel gripper thingy that makes my heel slip and my socks all balled up in the middle of my foot. They are expensive for what you get.

I have such a hard time finding walking shoes that are comfortable. Unfortunately, these did not work for me. I suffer from PF and have a very high arch. These didn't have enough arch support and crowded my toes when I substituted an Orthoheel insert for the Clark's insert. Guess I'll have to return these and keep looking. Luckily I ordered from Zappos who are the BEST about returns and exchanges. Thank you Zappos!!

Sadly, I have to return these shoes. The last 2 pairs I purchased about 2 years ago were perfection. In the meantime, Clarks has narrowed the tongue by about an inch, so the seam on the underside of the tongue, pressed down by the tightening of the laces, digs into the top of the foot. I got a blister on the top of my foot just trying them out. Sad. Clarks, please return to the original specs!

I purchased another wave style called the wave kick that had a nice wide, deep toe box. I was hoping these would be the same since I need the bigger toe box due to hallux limitus (arthritis in big toe joint. Unfortunately, these were much narrower in the front. It's very difficult to find a shoe with a narrow enough heel and width at the front. Especially if you are trying to find something neutral that you could get away with wearing out to a restaurant with pants. I thought this might be it, but the search goes on!

Nice looking shoe. However looks are no trade off for comfort. Have had this shoe for almost a year and every time I wear them my feet hurt. There is no cushioning on the sole of this shoe nor is there any arch support and they are narrow. Am glad I only paid $80 dollars for them and not the ridiculous price they are now.

I purchased this item quite some time ago & loved the shoes. They are different now. Too stiff and not as comfortable. The old ones were better.

This shoe was a big bummer. If a shoe company insists on making their shoes narrower and generally smaller than they are marked, they should at least include all half sizes instead of stopping at size 10. Even with thin socks, the 10s were too tight all around on my size 9.5 feet. Really irritated. The style is okay, though I don't like the contrast color at the toe and heel. The search continues.

This wobbled as I walked. I felt like I was going to turn an ankle at some point. They were comfortable with my Sole insoles but I didn't want to take the chance on spraining my ankle.

I was excited to receive my new Clarks, but by mid-morning after wearing them to work I was very disappointed and unhappy with this shoe. They felt great when I put them on at home and wore them around, but after wearing the to work I found that by 11 a.m. my ankles were killing me as the top of the shoe was pushing on the bottom of my ankle bone which I didn't notice when I was wearing them on carpet at home. I am regretful that I paid so much money for a pair of shoes that I cannot return per the return policy from Zappos.

I love these shoes, except they're too narrow, especially for Clarks shoes which usually don't run narrow. I wish I could keep them because they're cute.

Just wanted to provide an update. I purchased these about a year ago and used on a trip and other uses for walking etc. I am not a heavy user. I am disappointed the soles are falling apart. The comfort has been great and I like other aspects of the shoes. I contacted Clarks and will see what they suggest.

I really wanted to like this shoe. It's exactly what I want in terms of looks--and also like that it's waterproof. But even the wide shoes, which usually are just what I need are way too narrow. I could see that even before I tried it on; the toe box is much narrower than any walking shoe I have tried on. So alas, they are being returned. It also has a strange rocking motion, which could take some getting used to. A pity.

Cute shoes but very snug (narrow) on my medium feet so they weren't comfortable for more than 30 minutes. I'm returning them. I tried to reorder in the wide width but it's sold out (and I can see why). Darn. I'd definitely give them 5 stars if they were comfortable.

I am disappointed in this shoe. I wore them to walk 1-2 miles in and the outer edge of the heels have already broken down. For the price, I expect them to hold up more than just wearing them occasionally to walk on sidewalks etc. Also had to remove the inner lining as for some reason, with it in, it made the top of my feet feel numb. I do wear an orthotic in the arch area, so with that in, I'm ok. Overall, I expected more for the name and price.

This shoe is the most uncomfortable sneaker I have ever owned. I am not sure what material this shoe is made of but it does not flex with my foot and the shoe makes my feet throb. Also there are several places the shoe rubs my foot no matter what type of sock I wear. ZAPPOS was great to allow me to return the shoe.

I am looking for a good walking shoe/ankle boot that will make my troubled feet happy. I read on a travel blog that this pair of Clarks was ideal for folks with tricky feet who wanted to do a lot of walking. Well, not this folk. The shoes are heavy, like wearing a pair of irons on your feet! Heel is too high--what is with the shoe designers that nearly every pair of walking or athletic shoes has to have the ginormous platform and heel? I just want a quiet, comfortable pair of shoes that I can walk in without my feet complaining. Perhaps they worked for others, but not me. It was too heavy to lift my feet!

Returned this purchase - thanks Zappos for making it so easy. Ordered this shoe in the red and the color is much darker and muted than appears online. On my feet they reminded me of bowling shoes - not a turn on. The "wave walker" sole felt odd and unstable when I walked. I ordered a 40 - my size in most brands - and it was too big. Tried on a 39 in a retail store and it was too small. I may just not be able to wear Clarks. I'll stick to Riekers, Ara, and Propet brands.

Bought this shoe to wear at work, because we are required to have an all leather shoe. Most uncomfortable shoe I have tried in ages. I have bad plantar fasciitis in one foot, but this pair of shoes made both feet hurt. Returning!

Killer on the bunions! Unfortunately, this shoe turned out to be a big disappointment. I purchased the wide size based on other reviews and while they felt fine at first and my toes had plenty of room, my feet were killing me after only an hour or so. By the way, the light blue color really is more of a grey (which I preferred).

I have been searching for a multi-surface (city and trail) walking shoe for some time and have tried on a bunch. I loved the look of these (tan for summer) because they would go with everything. I really wanted to love these so I put up with the slightly narrow fit, using thin socks thinking I could break them in. The arch was less than desired, but I made do by putting in a pair of Merrell insoles. A few days of inside wear and I felt like I found my shoe. Then I went for two walks and found my toes going numb. The icing on the cake was when after the two walks, I saw that the strike zone of the heel was already showing significant wear. THe sole is like a dense foam, and it wore down so quickly. Terrible. Clark- nice looking shoe, but that's where it ends and the "wear" is ending for me too.
