These are good walking shoes for the some-what-less-than-really hard walking walker. They are a bit wide but good insoles take care of that. Hard pressed to wear them out. I'm on my 5th pair.

My husband was very pleased with the fit (and he is VERY FUSSY) and ease of closures. He has boxes of far more expensive shoes that didn't make the grade. Although they are athletic shoes, the black color allows him to wear them with slacks and not just jeans. He's 76 and is sensitive about his appearance now that he has lost his sight.

These shoes are most comfortable, relatively light weight and, it appears, will be long lasting. The velcro closure is parrticularly fine for the elderly (which I am).

These shoes were perfect right from the try-on!

Love these shoes. Why would anyone want to tie laces when they have velcro. Love'em, love'em, love'em.

I'm an active 70 year old. I love these shoes because they are comfortable and easy to put on. They are great for me and I will buy again when these are worn out.

This is a very comfortable sneaker, but I had to order it in a larger size, than I normally wear, possibly because my foot got larger.

I liked to concept, Velcro straps. My feet are wide with a high instep. The shoes were small, not as wide as should be, and the velcro straps were too short to clasp. The shoe should be a roomer with longer straps.

I ordered these a half size larger as suggested and they are still small. My left big toe touches the end. Maybe with wearing, they'll stretch a bit.

I love these shoes--have worn this style for years and still wear them every day!

This is the 2nd pair of these shoes my husband has purchased .He says they are the most comfortable shoes he has ever worn.We hope that llbean continues to keep these shoes for us to purchase, the price is very good too!!!

These shoes felt tight and made noise as I walk. I wear the White 577 lace version and they are fine.

Bean's sizing recommendation for these shoes is apt. I have numerous pairs over the years; I find them very comfortable and, importantly, easy to get on and off.

First time trying a velcro-closure shoe and I'm not disappointed. I'm a long time New Balance shoe buyer, usually the 900 series, but thought I'd try this less expensive model with the velcro for general and casual wear. So far the shoe has been a comfortable good value for the lessor price than the 900 series.

This pair was a gift item and have fingers crossed they will fit the person. On the other hand my husband has worn this style of NB for over 15 years maybe closer to 20. He has to order half a size larger then cheaper or other brand shoes. Merrel also runs small. That's not a complaint it's just a notice as we know that so always buy him the half up. He wears through shoes fast but these give him a good 6-12 months which for him is exceptional.

THESE ARE THE BEST WALKING SHOES I HAVE EVER WORN- ON MY SIXTH PAIR NOW ! COMFORTABLE, LONG LASTING AND NICE LOOKING. I ONLY WISH L.L.BEAN WOULD MAKE MORE SHOES WITH 4E WIDTH AS I'M SURE THERE ARE LOTS OF CUSTOMERS DESIRING THAT SIZE.

These are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever had. They appear to have cured my hammer-toe (from years of distance running).

The New Balance 577 Walking Shoes keep me smoothly moving! At 80 Yrs. Young, I still work 3 days a week doing medical transport for nursing home residents...these shoes cushion that spring that's still in my step!

I ordered the size shoe that I wear but the shoes sent did not fit at all. Not even close. So I ordered a half size larger and in the wide format. It cost me $6.50 to send the other pair back. The 2nd pair fit fine and I like them very much, but miffed at the extra $6.50 I had to spend.

I only wear New Balance walking shoes. I wear the black shoe during the winter months and the white shoe during the spring and summer months. LL Bean offers this shoe in EEEE wide which is what I need. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. A+

this item was not in the store but item was ordered before I left . Would like to see 6E offered but i got the widest carried. this is my 3rd pair from LL Bean. Very well satisfied

I have my 5th pair of these shoes. (Over a number of years). They are the MOST comfortable I have ever worn. Maintain good looks and last a good, long time.

Very good fit and easy to take off and put on.

Very comfortable & easy to put on--- inner soles not durable---purchased 3 pair-inner sole did not last 1 month on 1st ones .Bean exchanged with 2nd pair,lasted 3 mos. before inner sole deteriorated. am on 3rd pair hoping for better results
