I bought these for my elderly aunt...yes mens sneakers but did the conversion for women's and needed the Velcro. Had to send them back. She said they were "too heavy" to walk in.

I wear them every day. They wear well and fit well. I have a large instep, and usually I have trouble finding a good fit. These fit great.

This is the only walking shoe I have bought for the last 5 years. It's comfortable, stylish, easy to put on and get off. I love the velcro. Other walking shoes by internationally-known companies, hereby left anonymous, use some kind of glue to which my feet are allergic. Not a pretty sight. But not these shoes. They're great. Try them.... you'll like it.

I have MS and must use a brace to help my drop foot. Because of this, I need a velcro walking shoe. I used to use Rockport and they discontinued the shoe. I tried other shoes and they just do not fit! In the past, I have ordered shoes from L.L. Bean, so I tried them again They always fit, are durable, and are delivered on time. The shoes fit and are good quality. I will use L.L. Bean for this shoe from now on!!

Purchase was for New Balance walking sneaker with hook & Loop fasteners. I have purchased this style since discovering them many years ago. All of my purchases have been from LLBean except the very first pair. The sneaker gives me excellent comfort throughout it's long life, I have no complaints, and would advise everyone to try them.

I took a chance on ordering New Balance walking shoes online (instead of trying them on in the store). Turned out to be a good move. The shoes are very comfortable and nice and sturdy. Highly recommended.

I have ordered several pairs of these shoes for my Papa. Either his feet got bigger, or the velcro strap isn't long enough. I am going to a fabric shop to add on another piece of velcro because he loves these shoes!

This is the 3rd or 4th pair of these sneakers that my husband has had. He doesn't like any others. Great product!

This shoe is exactly what I wanted, except that it as way too narrow, darn it. I'm going to exchange them for a sport sandal I liked, Clarks Un Bridge Leather. I've had trouble getting shoes that are wide enough.My last pair of New Balance were Triple E and were just fine, still are. These were Four E, and nowhere near my size. They were a dandy shoe, for the price, and I wish I could have used them

These shoes are comfortable to walk in but the velco straps are way too short they barely have enough room to close that is why I gave them three stars. I hope the manufacturer sees this and makes the velco straps at least two or three inches longer so they could at least close properly.

Ordered a half size larger like suggested and they fit perfectly.My husband says they're very comfortable--this is his second pair--he wore out the first after several years use

Lightweight, comfortable and easy to use the velcro closures. I got black so they would still look good when they get older.

Shoes are a replacement for an old pair (not LLB) that had become worn out. They are better than the ones they replaced in many ways. I recieved them at my home in less then two days.

Was very pleased with fit, comfort and heel padding. I have terrible feet and needed the support. Makes it a lot easier for me to take walks.

These walking shoes are very comfortable and last for many years. The velcro straps make it easy to secure. I would definitely recommend these shoes.

I waited to write this review until I had worn the item for several months. My conclusion is that if you like going to the Chiropadist then this shoe is for you. The item fits properly until you walk in rain then the shoes shrink. When they dry out wearing them returns them to normal size. The soles do not maintain their original cushion feel and become thin. The result is the development of uncomfortable calluses on the bottom of your foot. The end result is discomfort and the search for a different product.

I'm partial to New Balance and this pair has the velcro closing straps which will make it easier for me to put them on and take them off. I'm 74 and bending to tie is hard to do. These shoes are the most comfortable walking shoe anyone could ever ask for, I've had New Balance shoes for over 30 years. Great shoe, great value!

So far (I've only had them a couple of weeks), they are fine. They are reasonably comfortable, and they are easy to get on and off.

This will be my third pair in four years.... I love them

These are a very comfortable shoe, but I found that the "hook and loop" (otherwise known as Velcro) closures are set up in such a way as to make the hook portion of the strap barely reach the loop portion. I suspect that once the shoes are broken in some, and the poofiness has compressed out of the tongue padding, they will mate up better. Otherwise, a very comfortable shoe with great feeling arch support. You get the feeling you could go the distance in these shoes.

I chose these shoes because I often have trouble tying and untying shoe laces -- the velcro straps work well, solve that problem The shoes are pretty comfy, too, I like 'em.

We have been ordering these walking shoes for many years now and they are simply the very best. Will certainly continue to order them from LL Bean as they really stick to their word as far as warranties and customer satisfaction. They are a great company to deal with.

This is a great shoe for persons doing a lot of walking such as myself. I have been purchasing this shoe for the past several. years. They are great. Look no further and buy this, you will not be disappointed.

A rare treat to find a product that is made in the USA and is cheaper than the other comparable products. The fit of my shoes was perfect after following LLB advice to order the next larger size.
