The price was right, and the delivery was amazing! The shoes fit once they were on, but they were very difficult to put on, and the upper hook-and-loop straps wouldn't close. This was very strange, since my normal width is E, and these were EE.

I've loved the New Balance hook-and-loop closure walkers for years and it's the only shoe I can order online to be sure of how it fits. I've used the Ladies size before, but started ordering the Men's once the Ladies were no longer available. The fast closure is so handy for playing tennis and just in general. The laces I used earlier just took too long to adjust perfectly. The high toe box was one of my main concerns and is great with this shoe. LLBean's delivery was fast, too!

Although I can fit into a wide size, extra wide is much more comfortable. Will probably buy another pair in different color next time.

Having tried other similar footwear, non measured up to the quality and comfort of these shoes. Definitely should order more in case they are discontinued at some point in time. For those of us that have difficulty with lacing up shoes, these are perfect.

I purchased the men,s new balance 577 walking shoses, hook & loop closure style. I have been useing these shose for appox. two months to walk around the walking trails and travel.I like the hook & loop because of it easey to secure the shose without having to tie shoe strings.

fit better, easy on feet walking

The straps for hooking and looping to fasten the shoes were too short. Each strap was about an inch shorter than the ones that my husband just stopped wearing.

These are the most comfortable sneakers I ever purchased. The fit and durability was beyond my expectations..ordering a 2nd pair..

These were purchased to replace the only product from LLB that failed. The "collar" on the right outside of the the right shoe disintegrated.. I had purchased an identical black pair at the same time which are fine so I had no problem ordering a replacement pair in white.

Really like - very comfortable

I was scheduled for a total knee replacement. I knew that I would be unable to tie a shoe but that I would need something more substantial than a slipper to wear on my feet during re-hab and for walking outside. These shoes are perfect for my immediate needs. I was fortunate to find them through LLB.

These shoes proved to be the best solution for my husband, who has one foot grossly swollen and the other still slim. I am grateful to LLBean's customer service that was so helpful in determining best size. The only improvement I could wish for is a slight extension of the velcro on the adjustable straps, which would make it even easier to put on the shoes and keep them neatly closed..

These shoes met all expectations. I have a developing "hammer toe" problem, requiring good toe room clearance. This shoe provided me with a good, comfortable shoe fairly priced.

I'd originally purchased the 576 model of these shoes in 2009, and this year bought the 577 as the 576 was finally showing some wear. Tough and long-lasting. I will say that the 577 model does seem to have slightly shorter velcro straps than the 576, I was surprised at first but once the shoe loosened up a bit, this wasn't a problem for me. In the past, I've had issues with my feet swelling due to medications, foot injuries, ingrown toe nails from too-tight shoes and other foot issues. A podiatrist recommended that I might loosen my shoes or even remove them when sitting in order to relieve some of the pressure or else not tie them so tightly... Ok, have you ever tried re-adjusting the tightness of your laces constantly? Or how does it look to slip your shoes off in a workplace and then you have to hurriedly put them on and tie them before you can walk somewhere else?? These are PERFECT, I can adjust the fit just perfectly in an instant without removing them completely. If one foot is giving me a problem I can even wear one shoe much looser than the other, thanks to the velcro straps. When sitting, I can loosen them up almost completely and let my feet have the room to relax and yet cinch them back up almost in an instant in case I have to walk off somewhere. Much nicer than sitting at your desk "shoeless", in my opinion. So these were just perfect. And New Balance construction is awesome, and also one of the better shoes that is still MADE IN AMERICA. Hooray! So for me, these shoes were winners, any way you look at it. I would recommend that you order up a half-size as that is how New Balance tend to fit. I did get my correct shoe size at a local New Balance store, but they did not have these hook-and-loop closure kind of shoe. Once again, thank goodness for LL Bean!
